Darc turned to the voice "Well if it isn't Lite. You seem to be healthy! Are you only spectating today or why are you not already at the ring? And how are the others doing?
"Hey there, Lite.", said Bulma after seeing him as well.
"Hey there. And yeah, nothing much to gain from this tournament. But that doesn't mean I won't just miss it because of that! The others are doing fine as well. Your mother though...I think you will have to visit her or else you only would dig your grave more, mate.", he said with an awkward smile.
"Yeah, I know that. I was planning to do that after the tournament is over.", he answered to him and got kinda worried what his mother was thinking.
"Alright, let's search for a place to spectate since we are all together.", said Darc. The elimination rounds were about to begin. Everyone nodded and walked to the small spectating area after paying an entrance fee of course.
----
The first fight was Bacteria against Krillin.
"Damn that stench is really something else. I think I am close to barfing.", said Lite.
"I know. My nose is even more sensitive than yours....", said Darc and held his nose. The others also did the same and it was more of a torture to watch this fight than anything. Even the announcer had a freaking gas mask on his face.
Krillin got attacked by some weird and disgusting attacks from that guy and was already down for the count.
"Krillin, you don't have a nose. You are just imagining the stench!!", shouted Goku from the sideline and that was enough of a motivation or realization for Krillin to get back up and win the match easily. He even farted in that guys face as revenge...
"That was absurd...", commented Darc after the fight was over.
"He really doesn't have a nose. How is that even possible?", asked Bulma in a somewhat bewildered tone.
"Don't ask me...Guess Krillin is a little bit special.", said Darc to her words and just thought about him still being able to smell things and bleed from somewhere around the part where he should have a nose.
"Phew, finally that stench is gone. But I think I can still smell it. Urgh. How come you are not affected", said Lite and looked at Arkis.
"I don't really see why it is so bad? It is unpleasant but it's not like it kills me or anything.", she answered pretty straightforward.
"I see...", Lite wasn't sure if he liked that answer.
Then they watched the further fights. Yamcha of course pretty easily lost against Roshi in his disguise and the next one was Goku. He won and made his speech after winning and. He even told his age after being asked.

"You heard it! That makes Goku our second...no our third youngest participant. Lady´s and gentleman! The tournament does become more popular with young people it seems.", said the announcer.
"12? I did think he was too tiny for his age. He didn't even have any hair on his body...! Seriously, what an idiot!" , exclaimed Bulma after listening to his words.
"That's not really right. When I asked old Gohan, he was only two years younger than me. That idiot is a fool that can't count. Even for that he used fingers.", said Darc and made a soft lie about this part so that everyone knew Goku´s true age. "Also, what do you mean with having no hair on his body, Bulma?", he asked her then.
"Are you sure? Well, that would be normal for Goku not being able to count right. So he is what, 14? ...And about that part." she actually blushed again. "I had to wash that fool because he kinda was oblivious to hygiene. He lived in the forest after all. And oh boy was I surprised by that tail of his...", answered Bulma.
"I see..." Darc looked at her kinda suspicious.
Bulma noticed that "Hey, don't look at me like that. I mean his monkey tail! He got a monkey tail on his back. Not that other part!", she tried to explain.
Darc only sighed to that and glanced to Arkis. Arkis blushed after noticing his gaze. She knew she was the same as Goku in that regard. But Goku was still oblivious to the things between gender. He only just started to differentiate male from female without to have to pat their crotches. Don't expect much improvement from that.
The fights afterward just ended as they should have and the finals came to be Roshi as Jackie Chun against Goku.
In that fight, Roshi used the thundershock surprise. It was pretty effective and nearly made Goku give up.
"Look, that right there for an example is a technique that could become useful.", mentioned Darc to Arkis and she nodded.
"I don't think that's so useful. We could just barrier that. Looks cool though.", said Lite after hearing his mates words.
But shortly after Goku saw the full moon in the sky and transformed into his Oozaru form and broke free from his shackles. Panic happened in the spectator crowd.
"Damn, he transformed again. Darc, go and cut that tail, please. He will transform back like that!", said Bulma and urged Darc to intervene. But right at that moment before he could do something, Roshi already fired his Kamehameha unto the moon and pulverized it.

Everyone thought he would kill Goku but Darc only sighed. "I guess that's it for the poor moon again."
"Huh?", asked Bulma after hearing him and only saw how the energy beam blinded her. After a short while and a big blinding explosion, everyone could see Goku lying on the ground and he was transformed back. The moon was also gone. Roshi really destroyed the moon.
Good thing the nights were pretty bright on their own and the sun was still up and dimly lit up the place. Darc materialized some clothes for Goku after they saw him being naked. A lot of people were surprised how he made clothes out of thin air. Krillin and Goku included. Only his group remained calm because they knew about it.
The fight went into its showdown, resulting in Roshi winning. Even though it was pretty close.
Afterward, everyone came together in a restaurant and celebrated. Now Darc could just see how much Goku really ate and that was really something. How did Roshi even manage to feed him the whole year he was at Roshi´s? That stomach was like an endless abyss.
"Damn Darc. And here I thought you were already a glutton", mentioned Lite after seeing that.
Darc his mouth twitched on that remark. "Well, now you can see I am not that bad, huh. Also, stop saying such stuff, you idiot."
Lite only snickered at him.
After they finished their meal they came together again before obviously parting their ways later.
"So, what are you guys gonna do now? Goku, are you gonna keep training at Roshi´s?", asked Yamcha the group and especially the two.
"No, I will search for Grandpas Dragonball now.", answered Goku after Roshi denied them further training since he already taught them everything.
"You are still gonna look for that?", exclaimed Bulma in surprise.
Darc looked at her. "Hey, it's more of a surprise you aren't worried that without those Dragonballs something could happen to me? Didn't I ask you to search for them?", he said after her words.
Bulma realized that but also thought about something. "Well, you are alright now. I doubt you would get into trouble so easily. I trust you can handle the stuff you are doing. We shouldn't rely so much on those beads anyways, right?", she gave as an answer.
"That sure didn't take long. Last time you cried for me and before that, you wanted to wish yourself a boyfriend. I am shocked. But good to know you trust me.", he said with a smirk and Bulma pouted a little because there was no need to say that out loud. "Still, Goku. The Dragonballs are not even active yet. You will have to wait until they recharged to find them. Remember, they are still stones.", added Darc. "Maybe you should consider doing some more training until then or just stay at the Kame House until you get a signal with the radar."
"He is right", nodded Bulma.
"What are Dragonballs?", asked Krillin curiously and Arkis also nodded and wanted to know what those were.
"It´s a memento from my Grandpa that I gotta find.", said Goku and didn't really answer the question.
"They are beads that are orange in color and have red stars in them. About fist-sized in volume. There are 7 in total and if anyone finds all of them he can get a wish granted by the eternal dragon residing in them. Though Goku only wants to find the ball with 4 stars in it since old Gohan had that ball.", explained Darc to the both of them.
"Alright, then Goku and Krillin will stay at the old man's place for a while. What are you going to do now, Darc?", asked Bulma him now.
"I will return back to doing my job of course. I actually don't have too much free time. I am gonna visit my hometown and be gone then.", he answered her and Bulma was displeased by that answer and furrowed her brows.
"You can't even stay for a few days?", she asked again.
Darc thought about it and sighed. "Alright, but only a few days. Not more.", he said and gave up.
Bulma had a glimmer in her eyes and was now smiling from one ear to the other. "Good! You can stay at my house until you visit your parents. I doubt they would mind."
He nodded "Alright, then I hope everyone else has a good time and that we see each other later.", he said to the others. They nodded in response and thought the same.
Everyone parted ways on those words. Goku, Krillin, and Roshi returned back to the Kame House. They were sent there by Yamcha and Puar and rest including Bulma, Arkis, Oolong and Darc returned back to capsule corporation for a few days. Lite also made his way back to his hometown. He didn't even care about using flight in front of everyone and that surprised Roshi. Roshi thought he used the crane technique but that wasn't the case.

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.
