《Dragon Ball: Saga Of The Strongest Human》Chapter 72: King Yemma

It was not really hard to find Kami after entering his building since he was sitting comfortably on his chair that seemed to look more like a throne than anything.
"Kami, are you getting that old that you already need to sit around the whole day?", asked Darc after he stood in front of him. He also smiled because in the show he rarely saw him ever sitting somewhere.
Kami only sighed at first after he saw Darc. "Don't make fun of the elderly. Do you think I search for a Guardian of Earth just for fun? I am getting old.", rebuked Kami at his words afterward.
"Relax, I know your age. I also already told you if you want to have a successor you better search on Namek. Everyone isn't so thrilled anymore like in your times to be a guardian that sits years on some platform and looks over a planet. I still am wondering how you volunteered yourself.", excused Darc himself.
Kami, on the other hand, just stared at Arkis after he finished his own words. He wasn't paying much attention to him. Darc smiled wryly after noticing it and then pointed his thumb over his shoulder to Arkis.
"Right, I haven't introduced you to Arkis yet, have I?", he added as a question.
Kami only nodded and was still silent. He did feel a slight suppression from her presence. And that even though she already suppressed most of her energy with her ki control.
"Don't worry so much. She is keeping her energy low. You are only feeling uncomfortable because she is someone above your deity rank. To let you know by how much is easy since you do know about the North Kai. Just go 2 ranks up from that to Grand Kai and then Supreme Kai and you would arrive at where she stands at right now.", explained Darc after noticing Kami´s behavior being rigid and formal after coming to the topic of Arkis.
"It's a pleasure to meet the Guardian of Earth. My name is Arkis. I am a Supreme Kai...in training...", said Arkis and thought a little bit about what to add to that. "You are doing a splendid work to keep the peace here on Earth." was added with a smile.
"Likewise, miss Arkis. Its an honor to meet you.", replied Kami nearly immediately. "What brings you both here?"
"We need your help to get to King Yemma. We want to make a visit to the North Kai to discuss some matters. Is that alright?", said Darc and wondered if Kami was alright with it. After all, it was not easy to get an audience with Yemma. he was pretty picky in that regard. Or else it wouldn't be so hard to get Goku through to North Kai. But Darc got his Arkis card right here.

"That won't be a problem...So, you learning Kai Kai last time was for miss Arkis? Shouldn't you be able to use it yourself to get there?", answered Kami and asked at the same time.
"Well, we still aren't good enough to pinpoint certain locations if we don't know where they are. Another Supreme Kai already told us that normally you get schooled in the way of using your telepathy to get to certain places with Kai Kai and memorizing the universe layout. What I want to say is I don't know where the otherworld is at to really get there.", shrugged Darc his shoulders.
"True, I also had to visit otherworld once before I could teleport there. Well then. Let's depart if you are in a hurry.", said Kami after remembering it as well and slowly stood up from his seat. He walked closer to Darc and Arkis and prepared to us Kai Kai.
Darc and Arkis both placed a hand on each of his shoulders and also concentrated to memorize the location of the otherworld. With a short Kai Kai, they blinked away to Yemma´s palace.
In front of the palace, an unlimited queue of souls was waiting to receive their verdict from Yemma.
After all three of them appeared in front of the building Kami went ahead and asked an Oni to let them meet with Yemma. That Oni was a little hesitant because Yemma disliked the queue being disrupted. The check-in station was already full enough as it was. But he still let him through with Darc and Arkis.
"Kami!! What the in the world do you want from me? Don't you see that you are hindering me in doing my job!?", shouted King Yemma angrily.
"Wait, great king Yemma. This time its something I can't really say no to. Darc and Arkis here want to visit the North Kai. And as you see...Arkis herself already has that privilege to just do so without our consent. Its just they want your permission to use the snake-way.", started Kami to explain.
Yemma looked at Darc and Arkis. At first, he didn't really find them peculiar while eyeing up Darc with an annoyed look but when his gaze encountered Arkis he started sweating. He did recognize her standing immediately without Kami telling him further.
"Well, I see where you are going at. But rules are rules. Let me check first if Darc has the right to travel the snake-way.", he flipped open a book that had the title -Who is who- on it and searched for Darc his name. After some time flipping as if the pages would never end he finally found him. His eyes bulged after reading the notes in it.

"...He can go. He has already accumulated enough merit points to even ask an immense luxurious place in heaven...Really, stabilizing the western galaxy and improving living quality in it is really something. And killing powerful threats to that...But please, if you are getting rid of such people do not erase them completely...It does interfere with the reincarnation cycle if a mortal without the duty for it does so...", said Yemma and explained something to Darc.
Darc smiled and nodded. "Don't worry. I was already lectured about that. I won't use that technique willy-nilly anymore.
Kami was confused about the talk the both of them just now had and wondered what exactly this kid in his eyes do to let the great king Yemma be flabbergasted about. But come to think of it he himself slowly got used to it. Mostly every time he visited him he would always ask something and shortly after surprising him with something outrageous in his eyes.
"Hey, King Yemma. I got a question, actually. How are you able to handle the strong people that die? Let's say people like myself?", asked Darc now.
"What are you talking about now, Darc.", asked Kami from the side after hearing his question. Was he really questioning his power right now?
"Well, souls are souls, kid. Everyone that comes to the check-in station here does appear as a soul. And souls generally don't have any strength to them...Some individuals do get the privilege to form their spiritual bodies while dead and can use all the energy they had while alive. Those individuals are mostly good-hearted people that help us keep hell in check since powerful evil souls also tend to materialize their spirit bodies without permission sometimes and need to be stopped. Luckily spirit bodies don't get stronger when they are formed without permission and so we can keep them in check. If it comes to the worst the dimension we are in does suppress spirits to some extent. Does that satisfy your curiosity? I may be on the lower spectrum of power when one looks at the universe but I am quite strong actually. If I were completely weak then I couldn't do my job at all.", said Yemma with a calm voice and ignored Kami.
Darc put a hand to his chin. "I see. That explains some things I guess. For example, it explains why you hate stopping the queue...It would increase the rate of evil spirits forming bodies before you judge them... And your energy rating does fall into the category of General level in the galactic police...", said Darc deep in thought. That would be to say Yemma was about 100 million in battle power.
Yes, Darc actually made some research on how the GP rated their military ranks. It was either with merit to the top or having pure battle power. The highest rank of General was accompanied with the battle power of half a Frieza. How many Raditz was that? Enough to populate planet Vegeta 100 times and more over.
In a way, it made sense how the GP still could fight against Frieza and keep existing. And also why the meager forces in the west were so weak in comparison. The major powerhouses were just stationed in the north. There were actually a few dozen people with the rank of General. Darc was one of them. Though he probably outclassed even them.
Also, just as a side note. Jaco is also a general in rank. That is why he calls himself an elite. It was laughable but he got the rank through merit. So the inconsistency in the GP did have its ways to shine in some areas.
"Alright, that was about all. Thanks for the answer. We will be going then, king Yemma", he said to him after returning from his thoughts and looked to Kami as well. He nodded to both as a goodbye. Then Darc pulled Arkis along to the guide that would bring them to the snake-way.
Yemma sighed in relief after they both were gone. "Really, today I got enough of a scare for a few hundred years. I hope nothing bad happens the next years..."
Kami looked at him still in confusion. "Why would you say something like that?", he asked him with high curiosity.
Now Yemma frowned at this little god. "You will probably know some day. Now, since you are finished here please leave. You are stopping my work.", he said grumpily.
"Ah, yes, sir. I will take my leave then.", laughed Kami awkwardly and disappeared with haste. All the while thinking about Yemma his words.

Sod's Law (Dropped)
This fiction has been dropped, you're more than welcome to read it anyway (there is sort of an ending). But you have been warned... Sod's law is a more extreme version of Murphy's law. While Murphy's law says that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong (eventually), Sod's law requires that it always goes wrong with the worst possible outcome. For example, concepts such as "bad fortune will be tailored to the individual" and "good fortune will occur in spite of the individual's actions" are sometimes given as examples of Sod's law in action. This would broaden Sod's law to a general sense of being "mocked by fate". In these aspects it is similar to some definitions of irony, particularly the irony of fate. - Definitions of Sod's Law on Wikipedia. The protagonist, as many before them, and many who followed, thought they were just entering a VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing-Game). Unbeknownst to them however, was a short paragraph in the Terms & Conditions, that, upon agreement, would actually transport them to a fantasy world, loosely based on the game they thought they were entering. - Something anyone could be forgiven for, no-one reads them after all. In this new world, they discover that people are born with “Traits”, a System recognised, ability, skill, or talent, that they are born with. Sod's Law was not a trait they, or anyone else for that matter, would want. Pure madness follows. Yup, this is about a character transferred to a fantasy game-world with the worst luck imaginable. This is my first fiction so I apologise for any grammar and spelling mistakes that may be made. Hopefully it is readable, and if so please tell me! But if it's not, also tell me, but in a constructive way if at all possible? Due to the nature of the “Trait” the story will be dark in places, with plenty of gore and profanity, hence the tags. There may also be scenes of a sexual nature, but nothing full on – sorry guys but you'll have to go elsewhere for that.
