《Dragon Ball: Saga Of The Strongest Human》Chapter 78: Trunks?

It didn't take long after the events prior and it was a certain time approaching fast. And in a breaths time another half a month passed.
Somewhere in a hospital in the west city that was close by to the capsule corporation, Darc was sitting on a chair and holding Bulma her hand.
It seemed Trunks was pretty exact on timing to being born. No unexpected occurrences happened to him like being a preemie or such.
The doctor was encouraging Bulma to breathe deeply and slowly while also looking if he could see the head of the baby to help pull it out later and announce the successful birth.
It took quite some time and Darc could feel every second in how much pain Bulma actually was. She grabbed his hand very firmly to the point if he didn't have such good muscles and remarkably sturdy bone structure, then he would sprain his wrist at the very least and also be enduring pain himself.
But 7 hours later Trunks was finally out and started crying with a loud voice after his lungs were filled with air.
The doctor smiled, cut the umbilical cord and handed the baby over to the assistant nurse. Then he prepared every other step to ensure Bulma wouldn't have any complications after her giving birth.
"Congratulations, it's a healthy boy. What is his name?", asked the nurse and brought Trunks over to Darc, who was let go by Bulma to receive the boy.
"His mother already gave him a name. He shall be called Trunks.", answered Darc with a happy smile and took Trunks in his hands. He was wrapped in a clean towel and still had his eyes closed. There was no hair on his head. He was pretty bald for now.
´Guess I can't know yet what hair color it is going to be. I wonder if my genes get dominated by Bulma as well?´, he thought inwardly with a wry laugh. But it wouldn't take long to get the answer to that.
Darc walked over to the exhausted Bulma that looked at him and couldn't wait any longer to finally hold her child in her arms.
"You did a good job.", reassured Darc. Then he placed him in her arms and stood ready to support him just in case Bulma had no strength to hold him properly.
Bulma looked at Trunks with a loving gaze, hugging him dearly. But it didn't take long and the exhaustion overcame her and she fell asleep.

"Rest well, Bulma", said Darc with a smile and kissed her forehead. Then he placed Trunks in a somewhat better position where he could lay and sleep as well.
Darc took the duty to take care of her and watched over both of them while they were sleeping.
---
The next day the doctor gave the order that Bulma should stay in the hospital for a few days until everything is back to normal. Or at least in a state where no danger of her health is present.
Darc held Trunks in his embrace and played with his little hands. Those tiny hands immediately grabbed his fingers with a strong grip.
"He is pretty strong. Bulma, what do you think about letting him train later?", asked Darc her and diverted his gaze back to her.
Bulma looked at him in thought. "But only when he is old enough. And don't do anything excessive.", said Bulma and agreed on his question. Looks like she was way more open to those things than Chi-Chi in general.
"Don't worry. I am not that cruel to get him training when he is still too young. I had in mind to do it when he is 6. That should be a good time to get the basics done while still being young enough to not get hindered by age later on.", answered Darc with a smile and looked back at Trunks. "Don't you agree, buddy?"
Trunks opened his eyes already some time ago. And now looked slightly at him and didn't really understand what this was all about but still started smiling and laughed innocently after being stared at by his father. Darc couldn't help it and laugh softly at that reaction.
Darc was sure Trunks would still end up a very powerful fighter if he took the time to train him. And thinking about it he will probably just do that. Later when his ki was back he could also check how his constitution was.
And while he is out of commision he also could get some quality time with him. Bulma sighed at that moment and only smiled. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Right at that moment Arkis also appeared in the room.
"Oh, hey there. You came at the right moment. Look, my son is born.", said Darc with a smile and waved her over to come closer to them.
Arkis was a little bit surprised. She just teleported here to talk with Darc but didn't expect this. After all, KaiKai could be used to get anywhere as long one knew the place or person. No ki signature needed.

So she went over to Darc and Bulma and looked at Trunks that was in Darc´s arms. When she looked at him she got a glimmer in her eyes.
"This tiny creature is a baby?... May I hold him?", she asked and suddenly had the urge to hold this cute little thing.
Darc looked over to Bulma and she only nodded. "Alright, but be very careful. Don't drop him.", warned Darc her.
Arkis received Trunks in her arms and stared at the little baby. She also softly touched his chubby cheeks and little hands. A bright smile appeared on her face. "How cute..." could be heard from heard as a whisper.
Both Darc and Bulma were a little bit surprised and smiled as well.
"Hey now. It is about time I feed him. Can you give him to me?", explained Bulma after she thought that Arkis examined him long enough.
"Right, you are probably here to report the current status. Let's go outside for that. Bulma, you also should probably rest. So I will be going for today. The nurse already placed a little bed for Trunks beside your bed. If there is anything just ring them. I will be back tomorrow", added Darc and walked with Arkis out of the room after she reluctantly parted ways with baby Trunks.
---
Outside the room, they walked further away until they were at a place where there stood some chairs. to sit on.
"So how is it? Everything going as planned or did something happen?", asked Darc after sitting down and letting out a big sigh. He was actually a little bit exhausted himself after being beside her and watched over his lover and child the whole procedure.
"The western quadrant is now completely under the control of the galactic police. There are now only some criminal organizations that still fight our rules but most battles are now held at the borders to each quadrant which gives breathing space for the business growing.", stated Arkis to him and also sat down.
"There is movement from the northern quadrant. It looks like the GP is slowly losing forces there after getting active even though we told them to stay passive. King Cold and his son's forces are actually leaving the borders and concentrating on protecting their territories because of that.", she added.
"These idiots! I explained exactly why they should keep a low profile for a while but some still think my advice is cowardice, huh?", commented Darc on in it in disdain. Then he placed a hand on his chin and scratched it in thought. "Frieza being active makes me a little bit worried now. I wonder what he is up to. He probably found out that Glaze is dead...Hmm, did someone important or strong get itchy and tried anything against him?", asked Darc now.
Arkis arched her eyebrows. "Yes, a general was killed while initiating an attack on a planet that had a high probability having Frieza visiting it."
Darc remained silent after hearing that. He rubbed his glabella. "Alright, this is an order for those idiots. No one is to move out of the western quadrant until I give the go. And get those guys in the north to stop being stupid. If they disobey you immediately tell me. I will take care of it myself if they don't listen. They will be treated as deserters and criminals and judged like them. Anyway, how is Chronoa doing? Any news from that side?"
"No, she is still figuring out the cause. There also seem to be some changes occurring in some other timelines...", she answered.
´Go figure, huh. Well, the time nest is its own dimension but that only makes it immune to changes in time. Time still flows normally outside it. I wonder how long it would take to heal up when I am inside the time nest? Come to think of it. How much time actually passed that Chronoa still didn't figure it out?´, he thought after giving an "I see." as an answer to Arkis.
"Well, as soon as I am healed up we should take care of those corrupted time scrolls.", he said. "But let's concentrate on our own timeline for now and especially the southern quadrant at first. Did you find what I asked you to?"
"Yes, I have found it. The south GP is also making remarkable progress in establishing another headquarter.", she nodded at him.
"Excellent, at least some good news.", smiled Darc.
