《Dragon Ball: Saga Of The Strongest Human》Chapter 79: New Guests

Somewhere at the edge of the northern and southern quadrant of the universe on a yellowish planet.
Four people were squatting on a hill and looking at a place that looked like a military outpost.
"Let's try and get things done quickly, shall we?", ordered a figure with black short hair and looked at his comrades behind him.
"Are you sure about that, Maiz? You do realize that we weren't really liked by the galactic police. We did some real warmongering. They could take us for enemies and attack us. And the way we are right now it could mean death", said a female figure back to the man. She also had black long hair and her dark eyes showed genuine concern.
"We have changed, Ocora. Since that time a lot of things have happened. And you know what that bastard did to us. And as long as we keep our tails hidden we will not be found out. Who knows how many of us are even left now. If we don't act now and get a place to hide, our race won't survive. And just think about the younger people from our group. They need a future.", he explained to her.
"That we actually have to hide like this is already a disgrace to us.", said another male person.
"As long as we survive, no matter how disgraceful our actions are. It will be worth it, Been.", reassured Maiz him after looking at him.
Another person snorted. "If our people knew what we are doing right now we would be labeled cowards. I am not sure if you are really alright with that but I definitely am not. Why can't we just fight our way out instead of running and hiding?"
After those words Maiz got angry. "Alright, Ruco. If you are so tough that you want to die an idiots death then go ahead. I won't stop you, but don't drag the others into it."
"..." Ruco furrowed his brows and remained silent. Maiz was the strongest out of their little team here and what he said was the golden word. And he had to admit that they lived until now because of him and his decision. "Let's just hope you are right and these guys take us in as refugees from this war as you said."
"It will work out. Don't be so nervous. Where did that fighting spirit go out of a sudden? If, and I mean if it doesn't work out and they attack us, we will at least fight to the death.", said Maiz.
Everyone nodded and they started to move out. They hid their tails underneath the tattered clothes they wore but for someone who knew their race, it was an easy task to recognize these people.
---
A moment later they reached the edge of the outpost and soldiers from the galactic police stood guard. When they saw the four they raised their rifles and pointed to them.

"Please! Don't shoot. We are refugees from the war. We heard how you took this planet away from the Frieza forces and ask to be taken in for protection.", shouted Maiz and stood a distance away with upheld arms.
"What is their power level.", asked the one soldier the other.
"Average 13000. The strongest among them has a power of 15000. It is very likely them.", answered the other soldier back after using the scouter implemented in his helmet.
The soldier that still held the rifle up nodded and looked at them again. "So you are the Saiyans that hide here?", he asked them.
That question made the group of four very nervous. "Dammit, Maiz! They already know about us. This is going the wrong direction. We need to fight!", grumbled Ruco and readied himself to attack.
"Hold it! Don't make any sudden movements. We are not going to attack you. At least as long as you don't do anything stupid. Just answer our question.", said the guard with an angry voice and was ready to fire and activate the alarm for an attack.
"...Yes, we are.", answered Maiz to them.
"Maiz!", rebuked Ocora now who also was ready to attack and flee.
"Show me your tails as proof...", ordered the soldier.
Maiz furrowed his brows and let his tail appear underneath the rags.
The soldier nodded. "All of them..."
Maiz looked back at his comrades and nod to them to show the tail. They reluctantly did as told. Only Ruco was very glad to be able to show his own tail again. It was a nuisance to hide it.
"Good." The guard lowered the rifle. "Follow me. Someone wants to meet you guys.", added the guard and started walking.
The other guard saw them being surprised. "What are you waiting for? Move it. Or do you want to go back out there in the wilderness?"
The group looked at each other.
"It could be a trap. Why would they expect us?", asked Been.
"You know what to do if it is.", said Maiz back and started to walk as well. The others followed suit.
---
Inside the outpost, the group saw all different kinds of refugees walking around the place. They all looked very happy as if they never were in a war a few months ago.
The group was pretty surprised to see how this outpost actually resembled more a city than just a mere outpost. From outside they only could see destroyed infrastructure and the real outpost was underground.
It made sense to keep it that way to remain a low profile. Even they needed to scout out this location to find this outpost. And even then they didn't think it was that big.
But now they saw the weirdest things. There were a lot of round shaped homes standing around in a certain place.

"What is that?", asked Maiz the soldier.
The soldier looked at the thing he wanted to know and chuckled. "Oh, right. You don't know. That is the refugee area of living. It is only temporary until we gain complete control of the northern quadrant and are able to rebuild everything on this planet. You guys will also get a DynoCap for the four of you to live in. Actually, let's just do that first.", explained the soldier to the four that were confused by his words.
Then he leads them to a soldier that seemed to hand out food supplies to the refugees.
"Hey, Mike. We got another group. Can you throw me some capsule houses over?", he asked the other guy.
"Hmm? Sure" Mike grabbed a box from underneath the table and threw it over. "There is still some space in D40."
"Alright, thanks.", then the soldier looked back at Maiz. "This way."
Leading them again until they came to an open space. The soldier activated the capsule and threw it. A whole home appeared. The four Saiyan were flabbergasted by that. Just like that, a home was made? Where did it appear from?
The soldier went to the mail and took a key from there.
"This is your key for the house. The number is 1856. Don't forget it so you remember your own home. You can open and lock up the door with this key. There is enough space inside for 5 people in there with all things. You can get food from the guy that I got the capsule. Alright, let's get you to the General.", said the soldier and gave Maiz the key. Then he brought them to the military part of the outpost and to a building a tad larger. It had two other guards keeping watch. They had some paint markings on their armors to differentiate their ranks.
---
After Maiz and the other went inside they were greeted pretty quickly. It seemed the soldier at the entrance already contacted his superiors.
"Welcome to this little outpost of ours.", said a figure with black hair and blue eyes to them. Beside him was a woman with white hair and red skin. She had her hands behind her back and looked at them very curiously. "My name is Darc. I am the General of the Western Army. And this here is my partner, General Arkis.", introduced Darc himself to the four Saiyan. He had a bright smile on his face while doing so.
Darc gave Arkis the order to find every information she could about the location of the surviving Saiyans that were still spread across the universe. He hoped to find the locations of some of them even if the success rate would be low. Finding Broly would, for example, be a good thing.
Arkis was very quick in finding some leads with the help of some acquired documents from the Frieza forces on this planet on the border of the southern and northern quadrant.
"My name is Maiz. As you know I am a Saiyan. These are Ocora, Been, and Ruco. We and some other that are not here want to take shelter under the GP. But knowing you wanted to see us means it won't be that easy.", said Maiz back to him. He was very wary of this person. He didn't emit any energy but the smell this guy had on himself let Maiz his hair stand on edge as if a predator was in front of him.
"No, it actually is very simple. Just give me every info about the occurrences that happened prior and after planet Vegeta´s explosion and that would be enough payment. Then you can relax here. That is if you actually can. If you can't sit still, you can help out at the GP. Like that you also could get some revenge for yourselves. I also plan to collect every Saiyan around the universe.
"That is all?", asked Ocora from the side.
"That is all.", nodded Darc again.
"Wait, who tells us you are strong enough to protect us from the likes of Frieza? I want to test your strength first.", interrupted Ruco.
Arkis frowned at that request of his. Darc did tell her that the Saiyan race was a warrior race but were they all so hot-headed?
"Ruco, shut up!", shouted Maiz back at him.
"It's alright. He can test my strength. I actually want to test it out myself.", smirked Darc and positioned himself in front of Ruco.
Ruco punched out with his whole might and hit Darc his forehead.
"Hmm, your technique is pretty rough. Maybe before you guys help out you should get some training done. Don't want you to get killed for nothing and be at fault that your race goes extinct.", said Darc after not even flinching after that hit.
Ruco, on the other hand, was socked. He was very clear how hitting him felt. His whole hand trembled after he took it back. He probably broke some bones in his fingers with that punch.
"Looks like I made a fool out of myself.", said Ruco and a glimmer appeared in his eyes. The others also were very surprised how Darc just took it without damage at all.
Darc only smirked back. "Alright then. If you would please tell the things that happened in detail?", asked Darc now and waited for them to start talking.
