Chapter 44- Blossom
Morpheus was bored out of his mind as he waited for the slimes to morph into one.
He practised his skills over the next day, since he lost his axe he only practised with his fists.
You have levelled up Dance of Battle Level (E) (4)
You have levelled up Spartan’s Ethos Level (E) (4)
You have levelled Full Body Combat Level (11)
You have levelled Full Body Combat Level (12)
You have levelled Full Body Combat Level (13)
He sat down and tucked into his last pastry, his feet dangled only a few metres away from the giant slime.
(Collective Slime, Devourer of Insects, Level ???)
It had gotten increasingly large, larger than a small house. It’s body became a slightly lighter green, and hundreds of poor insects were being slowly dissolved.
He dropped his cigarette into the slime and stood up, it was time. Morpheus only wished that he had his axe.
He cracked his neck and then his knuckles and prepared to jump.
He strengthened the space around him, causing himself to fall faster. He landed a few metres away and teleported to a smaller cave entrance.
He looked back for a split second and the slime moved at an incredible rate, it’s huge body covering ground fast.
He bolted through the caves, dodging the smaller slimes that tried to jump at him. Morpheus teleported whenever the cave stretched forward while he pushed himself off against the corners. He stopped for a moment when he reached a crossroad of caves. Five of them sprouted off in equal directions.
He looked back from where he came, the slime was rolling straight for him, it’s whole body filled up the entirety of the cave. It rolled over the smaller ones, absorbing them in the process.
“Fuck!”
He picked up his heels and headed for the cave in front of him.
He kept sprinting for half an hour without looking back, terrified of the monstrosity. He began to sweat and his stamina was at half.
The young chimera emerged into a larger cave with bountiful flora and a waterfall leading to a lake.
There was a big pond in the center, with a small island in the middle. On the island was a large tree that resembled a cherry blossom tree. The trees around the pond were a bright red colour matching the crystals in the wall.
Morpheus didn’t have time to admire the sight and his eyes darted around looking for a way out. He flew around the cave, just above the trees; looking for a way out.
He began to panic as he could hear the mega slime squeezing its way through the cave.

He looked up to the top of the waterfall, he shot straight to it, but the gap was far too small for Morpheus to fit through it.
The giant slime squeezed through the gap, it was twice as large as it was before.
(Giganormous Collective Slime, Slime of the Deep, Level α)
“Shit.” He quietly said to himself.
He flew high above it, it’s body trying to move up and swallow him but it couldn’t.
Morpheus knew that he could only keep himself floating for around two hours before his mana got depleted.
‘Can slimes swim?’ He asked himself. The island in the middle was completely surrounded by water, it was deep enough that he couldn’t see the bottom. He saw no other options so he slowly flew over to it.
The top of the slime bent over the water but didn’t touch it, it couldn’t swim.
Morpheus let out a sigh of relief and gently floated down on the island. He continually stared at it, ready to fly high at a moment's notice. After ten minutes the slime didn’t move, it stayed stationary, blocking the exit.
He sat down and leaned against the beautiful cherry tree blossom tree. He placed his hand on it and examined it.
‘Blossom of Karoth’ This tree is found in the floating islands of Karoth, it is a symbol of peace.
He looked up to the giant slime.
“Peace my ass.” He huffed.
Morpheus tried to get comfier, since his stay would be longer than he imagined. As he laid down he felt something hard underneath the ground beneath him.
He felt the edges and dug it up, it was a chest. The wood looked ancient and the metal casing was rusted.
He opened it up and saw a scroll with a couple silvers scattered at the bottom.
He sat cross legged and brought the chest out in front of him.
He unravelled the scroll.
Would you like to learn the skill Terrify? Y/N
“Not really helpful at the moment.” He said.
Morpheus shrugged his shoulders and suggested yes.
The young chimera suddenly felt a change, not in his body, nor his head. It was a strange feeling, like something was shaping his very soul.
‘Congratulations’ you have learnt the skill Terrify Level (1). Once per hour you are able to terrify a person down to their very soul. This skill only works on sentient beings. You have to stare into someone’s eyes to inflict terror. The amount of terror inflicted differs from person to person. The Amount of terror inflicted increases with level increase.
You have increased your affinity for soul magic.

“Sweet, how’s this gonna help me?” He asked no one.
He was secretly happy that he had gotten a new skill but it didn’t help him in his current situation.
He scraped the few silver off of the bottom of the chest. It was currently all he had since all his coin was in the whales mouth.
A few minutes later Morpheus decided to try and get some sleep, he had been awake for two days and the fatigue was beginning to set in. He brought out his tent, but even that had holes in it. He sighed and just took out the shadow wolf blankets. He tucked it under his head and soon his eyelids closed.
—————————————————
Morpheus slept like a baby for six hours, the ground wasn’t comfy but he couldn’t care less.
He opened his eyes and wondered where he was. It all came back to him and his mood instantly dropped.
It seemed like the world was against him, since finding out Rose was a spy it caused him to rethink everything. He brought out her notes on his again.
With a cigarette hanging out his mouth, Morpheus began to flick through the notes.
‘Within a day he showed me all his marks, it’s a wonder he hasn’t been cut open by some crazies.’
He put the paper down, it was still hard for him to admit his faults.
Morpheus threw away his ego, he wanted to confront his own problems. He picked up the notes again.
‘Extremely strong abilities for his level, does not know how to use them effectively. He is weak minded in a sense, his head is too large for his body.’
Morpheus kissed his teeth and carried on reading until he had read every piece of paper.
Morpheus felt more at ease with himself now. It hurt his feelings but it was more of a good pain, a pain he accept. He was way too easy going, he was wondering around Arios with a bell on his head.
Looking back at how he acted made him disgusted. From this point on Morpheus promised himself he would change, he wouldn’t be so easy going at all and he wouldn’t reveal anything to anyone.
He was about to get to the end of his emotional episode when he heard water splashing over in the distance of the mega slime.
Small slimes began to emerge from its body and jump into the water
Morpheus put away the notes and stood up, he stared in curiosity. He grew his wings and flew over, careful to not get too close to the mega slime.
He looked down to see a faint green outline.
Morpheus just realised what was happened, the slimes were piling them themselves up at the bottom of the water so the giant slime could cross. He thought he was safe but apparently he was not.
More slimes began to emerge from its body and the mega slime lost a metre of its height. He flew back to the island and began bouncing ideas in his head.
Morpheus still only had Dagger of Black, he lost his axe when he passed out.
More and more slimes dived in the water and a metre long pathway formed.
He had no clue what to do, he couldn’t run past and couldn’t fight properly without his axe. He couldn’t teleport past it since it was too big and Morpheus wouldn’t dare call Themetruük.
Morphues tried something he hadn’t tried before, he grasped his hands together and began to pray. He prayed to Odin, the all mighty father.
He felt so pathetic begging to a god, it always annoyed him how people begged them.
He received no response which didn’t surprise him.
The slime bridge was slowly getting closer and the enormous slime crawled it’s way on it, getting smaller as more slimes were coming out of its body.
Morpheus always thought that begging to a god was pathetic, to him they wanted to be worshipped in unique ways rather than just praying. The only person that he would think who would actually listen to him was Skeggjöld, the Valkyrie.
The young chimera took off his shirt, exposing all his tattoos.
He stood in front of the blossom tree opposite the giant slime. It was getting closer to the island.
“Skeggjöld! Hear me!” He shouted out.
He looked at his right peck, his Path to Valhalla tattoo glowed dimly.
“I have fallen from my path!”
“I have lost my weapon!”
“I have lost my pride!”
He paused.
“Let me regain it!”
“Let me show you who I am!”
“Let me prove my worth!”
He paused again.
“Bring me my axe! I will show you who I am!” He screamed.
Morpheus extended his right hand in the air and a bright golden light formed in his palm. His axe formed from the golden light and Blood Axe of the War Orc floated an inch away from his hand. He grasped it, tightening his fingers around the shaft.
“I will show you Skeggjöld!” He shouted, and the glow grew stronger.

A real-life RPG you say? That sounds like perfect place to spend eternity! What’s the catch? Well first of all, this “Server” is in a nightmarish beta stage that has two trapped goddesses engaged in an everlasting brutal holy war between each other that has recently turned into a stalemate. Ryan is supposed to kill one of these goddesses somehow. (Technically there is a third goddess, but no one really cares about her) Secondly Ryan can’t die in this world without completing his mission here. If he does, straight to hell he goes. Thirdly, right from the start of spawning into this world, he has an annoying clingy emo/scene cat-dog rogue girl fall in love with him. This would be great in all If Ryan didn’t hate furries. Forth: Living in an RPG world is great and exhilarating but when the class you choose to roll seems to be just as emo as you are, interesting things are going to happen. Welcome to Lectioterra Adventurer! (Please DO NOT buff the Raid boss) (Please note i am quite aware that book one was written with quite a few thousand errors. I took a break from writing for ten years and had to relearn a lot of things. I learned quite a lot from writing 100+ chapters so far. I will go back and edit book one’s chapters after I get book two finished. If you all want to point out the errors in the earlier chapters I will gladly edit those things ASAP)

Ghostified City
‘Ghostified City’ is a post-dystopian sci-fi tale, set in a fading world that might be a future version of ours, running out on autopilot into oblivion. Adaman Yimmand is a simple robofactory operator in The City who's working with robots and machines every day. He doesn’t even realise that he might not have met another actual human being in years. Everything begins when he breaks his routine for once and enters a bar where he meets Evelith. This pesky other person does not let him go after he has had his -rather terrible- beer, because according to her actual humans are much rarer than he’s aware of. And from then on ‘the genie is out of the bottle and won’t get back in’, to use her words: Adaman meets more people, and gradually he has no choice but to accept that the reality of The City is not what he always thought it was, and to face the darkness of a fading humanity on the brink of self-inflicted extinction. Is there any hope left for him, and for his species? I have selected 'sexual content' and 'traumatising content' to be on the safe side, because there is a stripclub-like venue in the background of the story, and an almost-extinct humanity that has institutionalised suicide which might be disturbing to some. Apart from that it's not really a heavy 'adult' story.('Ghostified City' is my first long story in English as opposed to my native language Dutch, and an earlier version was published on my fiction blog 'Oranderra' until I stopped updating. This is a slightly altered version of the first series.)
