《After Megiddo》Not a Chapter: Author's notes

Phew, it's been a long and grand year of 2019, one of the best yet for me personally. This has kept me busy, hence the slowdown. But I'm not finished with this story. Far from it. I will eventually rewrite the second book for minor things, but only after completing the third book.
Here is an overview so far. The rewrite to the first book, The Book of Gideon is almost complete.
There are three different character arcs.
Gideon's arc: Complete
Sol's arc: 5 chapters left
Amy: 4 chapters left
I have greatly enjoyed writing Amy, far more than the previously cut character Tetra. I say there are still around 9-12 chapters left in general. I estimate little bit more because even when I finish a character's arc, there are sometimes leftovers.
The third book, dubbed 'Hell's Pursuit', which has a teaser released (link below), will culminate with many characters finally crossing paths. The teaser really only makes sense if one read Book 2, the book of Soltana; fair warning.
I see the rewrite of Gideon completed by early next year and the start of Book 3, Hell's Pursuit.
For the book of Gideon, I have greatly enjoyed the rewrite. Amy is turning out to be a fun antagonist character, whose arc deals with her relearning everything since her crippling and imprisonment, meeting some key characters, and generally getting into mayhem thanks to Gup, the demon Thief.
Gup intended to be an imp that was slain by Lucifer, letting readers know that not only was she real, but she was a threat. I then liked the character so much, I decided to keep him as Amy's first pet demon. Funny how that works out. Draws some similar parallels to Baxter and Gideon, except more antagonistic. For book 2, Amy had left her demons behind in their collection for that particular mission.

In the latest release for The Book of Gideon, chapter 28 - Duel, Amy meets a familiar boy from the Prologue, Alistair Vaughn, on a demon controlled planet of Thal. What more will this bring? Tune in to find out. I had intended for Alistair to have his own book. I intend to release a book for Alistair the strongman, Saoirse the witch (a brief cameo in book 2), and Kheros the undead, possibly bundling them as either a single book or split. In this case I felt Alistair fit best tagging up with Amy for shenigans. Amy's chapters have helped with my writing as they are legitimatly new writings.
Sol's story will deal less with ambiguous dreams, but will pretty much remain the same; I love her story and character. Book 2 rewrite will be more about grammar editing that I've learned from my writing group. That edit will of course be after book 3.
Once again, the church will have its own focus in future books. As I complete book 1, you'll see why.
Until next time and Merry Christmas!

Horizon
Emiluna is about to turn 16 and gain access to her first two classes. Living in a small village in the middle of nowhere, she always wanted to become a Hunter. Having learned a bit under her parents, a miller and a seamstress, she was sure she could never pick a class that meant staying inside all day. But being a Hunter is more than just a class. It means providing meat for the village, culling small pests near the cultivated fields and most importantly guarding the village from predators and monsters. But Emiluna is not a normal girl and her destiny far bigger than she could have ever imagined.Join her as she finds out what awaits just behind the horizon.[Word from the author]I am looking to create a fantasy world that has some logic to it and stays believable even as characters gain power and progress in levels.Classes and level quantify the people's progress, but they do not artificially inflate their power to demi-god levels. I am primarily trying to write a captivating story, not "power-porn". That means it will be slower than the fast burning litRPG you might be used to, but it won't burn out that quickly either and I won't drop half of my plots at the wayside. I should mention that English is not my native language. I hope it is mostly unnoticeable, but sometimes I manage to slip some awkard sentence structure in there (German sometimes puts things together in reverse). It it also my first time writing an actual fantasy novel and the first time writing anything at length in English. Any constructive feedback is very welcome.Credit where credit is due: Cover picture by Paul Bica (Licensed under CC 2.0)Check out his amazing photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dexxusYes, my cover picture is a photo, not a drawing. :D I might try my hand at some Paint-ification later to add the title.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Superior Era
How would you react if you found yourself unable to sleep? Not just for one day, or two days, or even three days, but a more permanent time span, like the rest of your life? That’s exactly the predicament Dario finds himself in and he’s thoroughly vexed by it. After all, what sort of sane person would want to miss out on sleep? A madman, that's who. It’s especially worrying considering how he lives in a world filled with fantastical monsters, deadly beasts, and 'Superiors' supposedly protecting the interests of humanity. Sleep is quite the necessity under those circumstances. Life is tough for an ostracized kid, but Dario quickly realizes that his wakeful nights are more blessing than curse, as there seems to be quite a few advantages in not having to sleep... Join Dario as he climbs the ranks of superhumans, uncovers hidden truths, travels the world, and discovers abilities he never before thought possible. This is a tale of superpowered/superhero-like individuals set in a dangerous fantasy world with hints of GameLit elements. Features MC with abilities deemed unique to the world and can disregard the need for sleep at no cost to himself. No Harems. Current Release Schedule: 3-5 chapters per week. (Slower updates for holiday season) First few chapters are fairly short, but the rest will average around 2.5k words.

Another world
For some, this old story would always be altered, but the outcome was always the same. 'The Evening Celebration.' Some blame humanity for provoking them, while others accuse monsters from another realm, and a few believed it was all merely the devil's fault. There is now a killer in the city. Attacking all the young ladies, pulling something from within them, and abandoning them on the doorsteps of their loved ones. Exactly similar to the old story. Will this issue ever be resolved, or will it be the start of something new? Ignoring the matter is also an option. Continuing with their everyday routine is generally a wise decision. That's just for the time being, of course. Till the plot leads them to someone they should have never encountered.

Harmless Sweetie (Rewritten)
*UPDATES EVERY MONDAY AND FRIDAY, SOMETIMES MORE IF I DON'T HAVE SCHOOLWORK. **This is tagged as comedy but I have a really stupid and peculiar sense of humor so yeah. "That's an eldritch horror." "No it's not, it's a frog." "Why does it have ten eyes and eight rows of teeth, not just that but why does it just perpetually scream with the voices of the ones whose mind it has eaten." "I'm just not that good at anatomy." *** Clailip Diancia, the tiny boy who dances along the threads of fate woven by a wicked witch. Not knowing of the plans of the witch that once scorched the lands, and unknowing of the abyss that beckons him forth. This harmless sweetie watches the stories of those around him. Ever unconscious of the turning loom of fate, always oblivious of the stories, legends, and tapestries of heroes that revolve around him as he goes, as he dances, and as he prances, leaving myths and rumours wherever he might set foot in. But as he is unaware of those whose fates have intertwined with his, he is also blind to the soul-piercing stares of the Abyss, ever calling to him.
