《Reborn as a nine-tailed fox [Rewrite]》Unknown

In the middle of a beautiful luscious green forest, a river was running through. Near the river, a small house was standing. The house was made out of wood and could fit a family of four. The door of the house opens and out of it steps out Morgan. Right now, he is wearing only a pair of shorts, meaning the rest of his body is uncovered. His right hand is pitch black and the dark colour seems to slowly spread to his wrist too. Body itself is covered with scars and with the most important one being the one over his heart. His left arm is covered by a sea-blue tattoo of a sea serpent, with the tail of it starting from his wrist, wrapping around the arm and ending with the head on the shoulder. As for his katana, it isnt with him and instead, was left in the house.
He slowly walks over to the river and then steps into it. He lets the current flow between his legs as he stares at the waterfall in front of him. Slowly, he raises his left wrist and up to his mouth. Opening his mouth, one could see his canine teeth extending. Next, he bites into his wrist, drawing out blood and letting it flow out of his bitemarks.
He puts his left hand up to the elbow into the water and lets the blood flow with the current. Seconds pass and after thirty seconds, he hears a voice inside of his head.
"Have you finished your mission?"the mighty female voice asks.
"I have the cryo-phoenix egg."Morgan answers in his head.
"Good. When will you return?"she asks him.
"Soon."he answers and pulls his hand out of the water, to let his natural healing close the wound.

Finished with his business, he walks out of the water and onto grass. There, he looks around the place and stops, when he sees someone. About fifty meters away, is Anna.
"So you came."he says and a smirk expression forms on his face.
Back in Ice Fort, Alice had taken over Annas job and now is a temporary master until the original returns. That also meant, she now had access to everything she needed and currently, it was any information about Raz and the Red Assassins. But even after a week of going through everything, she still hadn't find anything about either of those.
Right now, Alice is lying down on the sofa and muttering"It's like the files have been destroyed or hidden away too well."
*Knock knock*
"Enter!"
The door is opened and Veronica enters the room. She looks at her wife and sits down next to her.
"Still nothing?"she asks her.
"Yes. I've gone through everything. Every cabinet, searched everywhere for a trigger that may unlock some hidden stash, but still nothing. Only thing we have is that profile file in Raz and it only tells us what we already knew before."
"Well we taught him, so we know what he can do."Victoria tells her lover.
"We KNEW what he could do."she corrects her."The powers what we saw recently were on a whole new level. And his personality was twisted and unrecognizable. I wonder who has more control over that body now."
"Maybe the sword finally won?"Victoria wonders while looking at Alice's face.
"Maybe."Alice says and gets up onto her feet"Maybe not. Who knows. I mean we couldn't even do shit against him."
Victoria rises an eyebrow from surprise. She never heard Alice curse.
Alice sits down on the chair behind the table and continues in an angrier"Why the fuck would Anna even take in such a dangerous person. A fucking child who slaughtered his entire village for who knows why."

"Alice, going on a angry rant here won't do anything. Anna disappeared, Neveda is training like crazy and doesn't listen to his wives. I've seen him cough blood for crying out loud. He doesn't pay attention to his daughter. There still is the old problem with the Church. And we also have to figure out who was the man he was talking to."
Victoria gets up from the couch and walks over to Alice.
"As for you, my dear wife, you need to rest. You are an elf not a vampire who doesnt require much sleep. So stop going crazy in this room and come to bedroom."she leans over to Alice's face and seals her lips with hers

It's the beginning of a series I know I'm going to enjoy, with great writing and hints of deep in-game lore. The characters are fun, the plot is engaging, and I never know what is going to happen next. The action is fast, brutal and realistic. Four story anthology
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] [participant in #NaNoWriMo] Preface: This fiction will contain four different stories set up as a challenge for myself and to get better at writing. The challenge for royal road writathon is a 55.555 word goal while the nanowrimo challenge is 50.000 words. Reader suggestions is turned on, feel free to point out errors I missed and I'll fix them up! Chasing sun, napping softly: Cultivation/Xianxia genre. Some parts will poke at the ridiculousness of the Xianxia gerne. We follow the life of a magical fox monster, who doesn't like how the cultivation world works. Said beast seems to have more knowledge than is usual for normal magical beasts. In it's infinite wisdom it decided to search for the main character of the cultivation world to have a cozy and safe place beside him. Our fox will act as a "wise beast" to coast along on the main characters rise to greatness, all for peace, happiness and that amazing napping spot in the sun. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing in first person. Comedic effect between talking vaguely and sounding wise. The cost of heroism: A story more centered around fights and mental health of hired mercenaries/heroes. The world is infected with an eldritch corruption. Humans are trying their best to explore and clear out wilderness and the dungeons hiding in them to establish new cities. Lords seek for hired hands to do the professional work. Thanks to the setting, the story will show how awful pasts are the norm and how pragmatic people became thanks to that. People exchange their sanity for riches, fame and gods acceptance. Interpersonal relationships change drastically and quickly. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing grim scenes/imparting a feeling of how grim the world is. Writing fight scenes. Showing different mental states. Describing their influence on people during fights, walks or even after successful or failed campaigns. Who will be the next powerhouse? : A story about a gaming show, it's host Staan and the different participants. Stereotype characters, stereotype backstories, silly challenges and quizzes. The winner of those challenges gets powerups for their power system. Be it magic, ki, psychic power or anything else imaginable and unimaginable to reach the power of gods. The challenges for myself with this story: A softer tone for storytelling. Making the reader smile and enjoy themselves. A different try at slice of life story. I was left behind on earth as my family conquered another world and enjoys riches, but that's okey because I got a cheat too! : Stereotypical Isekai story parody twisted into an Urban Fantasy story. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing over the top and overdramatic scenarios/scenes Writing in first person. Walking into stereotypical scenarios and making them more dramatic/giving them a twist. Different type of humor.
