《What LITRPG There is Only Needlework [Hiatus]》Chapter 10

Sui would love to claim, after the fact that she jumped into action immediately once she saw her foe. Trying to get the jump on the wolf while it was distracted and was still forming. That however would be alive.
Ito however reacted instantly. Seeing Sui freeze up she ran along Sui’s arm and rammed into her face finally jolting Sui into action. It was just in time as well, for Sui dodged to the left just as the wolf lunged. Sadly though, this meant that Ito could barely hold on. She managed to stay attached just long enough to get clear of the wolf, but no further.
Sui stared in horror as she saw Ito falling. Wait she’s a spider, she should be fine. Then Sui’s eyes raised to the wolf. As long as she avoids that. Sui sprinted diagonally forward trying to get behind the wolf. It wouldn’t let her get away that easily though and turned rapidly in place.
This got Ito out of the line of fire, but Sui was now very much the target of an angry wolf. Ito glanced around for a chance to re-join Sui or deal with the wolf but both were too far, so she started to sneak off to the side, hoping that Sui could make her way there eventually.
Back with Sui, she held her scissors in front of her in a makeshift guard and watched the wolf. Ok… I’ve been taught how to fight larger opponents for a long time. This is just an extension of that… don’t panic when the giant wolf lunges at you… just move forward.
It seemed however, that the wolf was also used to tackling smaller prey. It kept it’s eyes focused on Sui and started to lightly circle around, trying to close the distance between her and the itself.
Sui circled as well. She knew the garden well enough not to take a major fall, but she worried the wolfs size and four legs would give it even more of an advantage. She tried to back up just slightly to keep the wolf at the same distance, but found herself moving sideways… away from Ito, as she tried to compensate.
Sui heard a crack as the branch snapped below her feet. She flinched slightly but managed to keep her eyes on the wolf. It half lunged at her but gave up when she returned her attention to it.

That didn’t mean no harm done though. The wolf had indeed used the chance to take a step forward and it was a large one. Now Sui was too close for it to lunge quickly, but she was just barely outside of its swiping range.
Sui kept her circling and started to notice Ito on the sidelines, just out of the corner of her eye. She kept her circling and increased her backwards steps by a slight amount so she could get closer to Ito.
Ito waited, carefully… right as Sui’s small frame blocked her from sight Ito jumped and hang from Sui’s back. Once Sui felt Ito land safely on her back she let herself relax slightly but didn’t take her eyes off the wolf
Ito moved slowly across her back and then down her arm, sinking in one she reached the area coated in webs and made sure to grab a bit of fishing line on her way. The wolf didn’t seem to notice the movement in the slightest.
##
After this some time passed. Sui wasn’t sure how long it had been. All her focus was on the wolf in front of her. It could have been minutes, or hours, but however long it was, Sui was able to tell she wasn’t going to be keeping this up much longer
She could remember what it felt to push herself to the edge. She’d done it often enough for her sewing projects. But this is starting to be the end. I’ve circled this wolf for ages, and it doesn’t seem to be tired at all
If I can’t get it to attack me I’m going to have to start doing something shortly otherwise this will all be for nothing… Sui pursed her lips but didn’t do anything else other than keep her calm circle.
I wish I could chat with Ito. Thought Sui as she spared a glance at her arm. Even if I really am projecting which I’m still not entirely convinced off, she’s good for bouncing ideas off of. Now the question is how to beat the giant wolf
I wanted to wait for it to attack first. I’m not the fastest but I am small. If I can sneak past and go for the eyes or throat, I’m set. Plus, if I can take a hit with my full body, I’ll likely go flying rather than taking a tonne of damage personally.

Sui eyed the wolves sharp talons currently retracted but Sui was sure they were deadly. The problem with going in first is it can probably predict my movements. Even if it’s lacking in proper thinking department at the very least I can tell it has the instincts to know when to strike.
Sui felt the sweat drip down her forehead. The heat was starting to affect her more. She wasn’t really prepared to fight outside. Which is a gross oversight on my part. Why did I think I’d only be fighting small but deadly things.
Sure, the bunnies were a joke… the first time. And I’m not sure who the fluffballs could really attack, but the horned rabbits were actually pretty scary.
What about Ito? Did she have venom or something… no this isn’t the time. Sui wanted to shake her head to clear her thoughts. It was a bad habit she picked up from her grandmother, but she didn’t let it affect her in this moment. The large eyes of the wolf locked with her own helped ensure she wasn’t such a fool.
Seriously! How are you supposed to do this? I’ll have to think of some clever way, perhaps with Ito’s help but I get the feeling most people are by themselves. Surely I’m missing something right?
Sui grit her teeth and tightened the grip on her scissors. The wolf paused for a moment limb tensing as it prepared for her strike but when she did nothing it took a light skip to keep itself directly opposite Sui. It was clear the thing wasn’t taking any chances.
Ok let’s think about this. What do I have. I’ve got scissors a length of fishing line, and a pet spider. What does it have? Nothing… but it’s a giant 8ft wolf with claws that can probably slice me in half…
Ok, so, waiting isn’t an option anymore. I have to act and it will need to be soon. What can I do? I could try to lay a bunch of fishing line around perhaps? But I see no reason the wolf couldn’t cut it with its claws, or simply ignore it.
The wire strewn about would be just as much a hinderance to myself as it would be to the wolf. Sui scoffed. I’d probably be worse off in fact. There just isn’t anything to secure it to. So, ok, laying down traps is out.
Next scissors? So I can stab, cut slice maybe? That doesn’t really get me any closer to the wolf though. Sui glanced between her scissors and the wolf’s leg. Yeah and it certainly doesn’t give me the reach to compete with THAT.
So that still leaves me with a need to get closer, and if I knew how to do that successfully I’d have won this fight some time ago. Perhaps when Ito saved me at the start I wasted my one chance to end this fight.
Sui gulped but started to think of Ito. What can Ito do? She can hide in my skin but fat lot of good that does her if I get taken out. Once again, if I could get close she could jump on the wolf and maybe do something but we can’t get close…
Or maybe… Ito can? Ito started to have a bad feeling about whatever her crazy master was thinking of but sighed from within Sui’s arm. Perhaps… Sui started to picture it. Ok so there is a few ways to go about it. Depending on how momentum works while Ito is in my arm. I can launch her, throw her, or maybe like whip my arm around like a discus launch?
If I can get Ito over to the wolf perhaps, we can start doing some damage. Though the question is now then what is the best way to launch Ito, and should she take most of the fishing line with her.
Ito shook her head. Her crazy master had an idea… but if this is what it takes, then there was no other real choice. Besides, a little bit of falling never hurt a spider.

Tales of Mana
Announcement: I (the author) am currently on a journey through guides, feedback and countless pages of miscellaneous other stuff to improve this work. I will not change the plot, but the style should be improved by a lot. I also intend to give more insights on the world and its characters. Once that is taken care of, this message will be removed. Until then, I wish you keep this in mind if you keep reading. - You know the stories about how some random person get's resurrected as the hero of a fantasy world after dying in their previous one? Well.. Mana may have been revived, but definitely not as a hero. This world does not require to be saved. It has to be changed. However.. how much can something be bent.. before breaking? - Mature tag due to: description of gory scenes. Some violence. This will go down after the first few chapters, but will resurface later on. Example: """"had literally drowned on its own blood"""". No sx scenes. To get some things out of the way: -this is my first submission, and the first story I ever wrote. If you find mistakes, or have something to criticize, please do so, but DON'T just write """"xy = bad"""". Explain me how to improve. Would be nice.

The Wu Clan's Rise: Legends of the twin dragons
The Immortal Domain is a vast cosmos consisting of the Upper Realm and the Lower Realms, both of which are controlled by the Three Great Families, the Wang family, the Lui family, and the Xue family. Each one of them holds an immense amount of power that could overturn the heavens, reverse yin and yang and change the fate of anyone or anything in the Immortal Domain as they see fit. But, with all of that being said, our story doesn't start from those ancient overpowered families in the Upper Realm, it starts from one of the countless fragmented Lower Realms, called the Wither Daemon Realm, in which there was a planet named Daiyu. On this planet, heavenly prodigies that were born with one of the thirty, rare Legendary Physiques were starting to pop up like common weeds. Longwei, born into the Wu Clan while in possession of the third rank Legendary Physique, was known as one of the six monster-level geniuses on planet Daiyu. His brother Longmin on the other hand, though was a genius in his own right, had faded into obscurity since his birth and was shunned by his own father after a certain ‘incident’. This story is the supposed legends of two dragons, who, through a journey of bloodshed and betrayal led their clan to unify the Immortal Domain and stand above trillions as the highest existence. ******* If you lovely readers can't be bothered to use your eyes, you can join my Patreon and get to stream my audio chapters like everyone else. https://www.patreon.com/TSETH Discord: https://discord.gg/tEdkhmrj5g
