Chapter 1 - Very lucky or very unlucky
Daniel opened the door to his dorm room and put his exercise gear into a corner. When he started his studies at the university, he just wanted to find a cheap apartment. He got lucky when he found a fraternity that was still recruiting new members. Instead of 400€ he only needed to pay 150€ a month for a room. The only downside was that he had to learn saber fighting. It seemed silly at that time, but it was the tradition of his 200 year old fraternity in southern Germany. At least they got rid of the old tradition to inflict scars on each other's faces as some kind of archaic ritual. What he didn't expect was that he came to like the sport. The funny thing was that, compared to football (soccer) which he played before, the risk of a serious injury was far lower while trying to hit each other with blunted swords.
When he went to the refrigerator to get something to drink, his vision blurred. Daniel tried to lean against the wall to prevent falling onto the ground. Then suddenly, the wall collapsed and he fell to the ground. The good news was that he was able to see clearly again, only to look at a big blue box in front of him.
Welcome traveler! You have been chosen. Due to the dungeon aid34523fj34k not being visited for 5 years, you are one of the lucky people to be randomly summoned to explore it.
Because you are new to this world, this room will become a safety zone for the next 5 days.
Your adventure starts now!
"What, who, is this a joke?" Daniel cursed.
But, nobody answered him. He got back to his feet and had a look at his surroundings. Parts of his dorm room seemed to have accompanied him to what looked like a cave. The collapsed drywall had lost its top half and was ending in the middle of the cave. When he'd leaned against it, half of it had just snapped and fell to the ground with him. The weird thing was that the lighting was still burning while he could see the open cable endings where the walls looked like they've been cut by a very sharp knife.

For a short moment he thought about his good friend Thomas, who had the dorm room above his own and what would have happened to him when the supporting wall below his room just disappeared. Maybe, being summoned to some fantasy dungeon by some galactic lottery wasn't the most unlucky thing that could happen to a person. He could only hope that his friend hadn't been in his room and that the fraternity building didn't collapse.
Daniel shook his head. Right now, he couldn't do anything for his friends and he tried to focus on his own situation. The parts from his dorm that accompanied him were the storage corner, parts of the entrance, the refrigerator, his notebook and half of his TV. When he looked down he discovered that his exercise gear was still laying in the corner.
He started to gather all the items on the floor. All in all, he had around 20 liters of bottled water, some frozen meat and vegetables, a few pieces of canned fish and fruit, a few packs of rice, a set of stinking exercise clothes, his saber fencing protection gear, a blunted saber, a few kitchen knives and some cleaning equipment that probably wouldn't be that useful.
He looked for it. But, it seemed like the grindstone, he used for sharpening his kitchen knives, didn't travel with him. The good news was, he discovered his old camping cooker, an air mattress, a sleeping bag and a pillow that he used for camping, had accompanied him. At least he wouldn't have to sleep on the ground. He calculated that if he cooked and salted the meat, together with the canned fish and the rice, he should have enough food for ten days. But it would be pretty taxing to carry all his useful stuff in his exercise bag. Thinking about the web novels he'd read, Daniel tried to open an inventory with his thoughts, and it worked!

'That was awesome' Daniel thought with a sigh of relief. At least he wouldn't have to carry all of his food with him. With a smile on his face he thought:

And a different blue window opened in front of his eyes.

Daniel didn't know what the normal attribute values were. He was in pretty good shape, maybe 10 represented a completely untrained adult? What was weird was that unlike in most games he played, there weren't fixed values for life, stamina and mana. One would not be able to see the exact influence of attributes to them. While his attributes looked nice, he was sure of one thing though. He'd never read a book where a level 0 person defeated a dungeon alone. It would probably be a good idea to find a way to level up. Daniel tried to focus on the level and XP part of his status. He was rewarded with the opening of another window.
Level and experience represent the amount of life energy stored in an organism. It can be increased by killing other living beings and taking a part of their life energy and by increasing skill levels and attributes with training. Each level will give 10 free attribute points for distribution.
The difference in life energy concentration will make killing weaker enemies more and more ineffective.
The thought of stealing another beings life energy to improve himself felt kind of dirty. He never wanted to be a vampire and rob people of their life. The last sentence calmed him down a bit though. The thought of entering a world where powerful psychopaths killed all life just to improve themselves would've been scary. The information that attributes could be increased from training made him think about the first message and that he had 5 days in a safe zone before he had to face the dangers of the unknown dungeon.
But before making any rash decisions, he decided it would probably the best idea to learn as much as he could from the system.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

Evil Tree
The story of Bazil, a man whose dreams of villainy are repressed by society and is being reincarnated in another world. Follow him, or rather it, as it found itself being a simple plant. How will it conquer the world? It doesn't know yet, but it has some ideas. --- A story where I plan on unleashing the taste for evil MC I have, also a bunch of perverted stuff to come. ;-)

This story is rated PG-13+, and may demonstrate some more mature themes over the course of the story. Sixty two years had passed since a near cataclysmic event had taken place, and countless tales from those times and times before have been written into history. History, in of itself, is an excellent teacher to those from many backgrounds, but at the same time, it can teach those with malevolent intent to learn from the mistakes made by collegues and similar historical figures. History can inspire to do good whilist preventing evil, yet at the same time, can inspire evil to become smarter, and more skillful in its ways. An adventurer, accompanied by a protective guardian, had set out on a journey to explore the world of Aequiria, inspired by the thousands of tales formed previously, to forge a tale of their own through iron and strife. . . .
