《Kenosis of the Light Bearer》Chapter 11 - Ambrosia

This seemingly ordinary girl turned out to be quite vicious. She pulled the guards intestines from his stomach and gouged out his eyes. Lucifer shivered at the scene, he was ruthless but compared to these women he was a saint.
Hell hath no fury like a woman wronged.
This girl was only 14 years of age but she was already quite stunning. She had curves developing in all the right places and she had beautiful blonde hair and pink eyes. Her pink eyes were something Lucif had never seen before. Not a single person on earth had ever been born with pink eyes, but this world had surprised him so much already it barely fazed him.
He tried to help her up but she was scared of him, she was still young and hadn’t learnt of the matters between man and woman but had already experienced it before her understanding had reached the appropriate level. And she had experienced it in such a violent matter.
She stared at him with fear filled eyes but there was nothing he could do to rid her of her fear. It would take time for her to interact with males again. For someone to lose their innocence this way was a terrible thing.
‘What the fuck is wrong with this world?’ Lucif couldn’t help but scream inside his head. Rape happened on earth, sure… But it wasn’t a culture like it was here, for it to be so common made him frustrated.
To outsiders it would sound weird for a big bad mafia boss like this to hate rape so much when he has no problem killing people. But the truth is, he himself was raped by his own father. It’s what led him to killing when he was only a young boy.
It warped his personality to the point where he viewed rape as a greater crime than murder. It made him sick to his stomach. When he caught his son and his son’s girlfriend drugging and raping the maid he beat them both bloody. It was to the point where he no longer recognized his own sons face. In fact, this was what led to his eventual death. That moment had birthed the seeds of hatred in his sons heart.

It was his own fault that he let his son be a unrestricted tyrant like he was. And after his death, the Pivac Mafia would be passed on to him. Under his leadership the Pivac Mafia surely fell into ruin.
Aruna brought the girl back to their house, “Eat this…” Lucif held out some butter chicken for her. It was cold but the flavor was still there. She wouldn’t take the box and left Lucif holding the box out looking like a fool but he didn’t mind. He whispered something to Aruna and then she grabbed the box, opened it and started helping her eat. Her eyes widened when she tasted it and she started to furiously chomp down on the meat and rice.
“What’s your name?” Aruna asked.
“Am…Ambrosia, it means elixir of life.”
“Hmm, what a beautiful name. My name is Aruna and this is my little brother Lucifer.”
“A..ru..Lu..”
“Do you like the food?”, Aruna smiled and tried to comfort her.
“Very much….T….thank you…Thank you for … saving me”
She slowly got more comfortable around Aruna but still unhesitatingly avoided Lucifer’s gaze.
Tonight it started to rain, it started with a soft drizzle that gradually grew into a downpour. During his time on earth he loved the cold drenching rain. Through all the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the killing and scheming against his enemies, the thieving and manipulating of the competition he could always find comfort in the rain. The cold tears of heaven calmed his mind, body and soul. He reached out his hands to caress the rain when Aruna suddenly spoke.
“Don’t touch the rain, it burns.”
Lucif’s hand suddenly stopped in place and a look of disappointment covered his face. “Damn pollution.” He muttered to himself.
When the rain would wash over his head and drench his hair, it would clear his mind and help him think clearly. Now one of his only pleasures in life had been taken from him. “Curse this world!”

Ambrosia spent the night cuddled up to Aruna, she had no family left alive so Aruna asked Ambrosia to move in, in which she silently agreed to. The night came and went. Ambrosia and Aruna made their way to work while Lucifer went on his own way. Ambrosia worked at a factory also, but it was bit closer than Aruna’s job. They were in the same direction so they decided to walk together.
Not long after the mines entrance came into view, “Eh you damn brat, why are you making an old man wait so long?” Oddly enough Buck was waiting outside for him to arrive.
“Long? It’s not even 9 o’clock yet.”
“Pfft, everyone knows that it’s better to be 3 hours early than 5 minutes late. Let’s go!” It seemed like Buck was incredibly eager to find out if Lucifer was superhuman or not.
As Lucif drew closer he noticed that the boss was with him, along with 3 or 4 other miners he knew. They were all good guys in Lucif’s opinion. A bit rough around the edges but their characters were good. They made their way up the stairs to the office and through a metal door that led into the mountain side.
They passed through another door and found themselves inside a great hall. In the middle of the great hall was something like an obstacle course. “Okay kid, let’s get your stats first and then we can start running some test.”
They guided Lucifer to a scale where it measured his weight, height and age.
ID: 666
Name: Lucifer Akira
Weight: 48.98 kg
Height: 139.7 cm
Age: 12.99
“Age: 12.99, Hoho kid, you didn’t tell me it was your birthday tomorrow.” He slapped his back and laughed happily.
“That’s because I didn’t know.” Even Lucifer was slightly surprised by this. He had never celebrated his birthday in his past life. He didn’t even know if he had done so in this life either. He had no recollection of such memories. But it made sense now that he thought about it. They were poor so how could he celebrate a birthday?
They continued on to the next test, it was a simple one. He had 5 different targets all at different heights. The goal was to hit them one by one from lowest to highest over and over again using only your feet. He wasn’t unfamiliar with this test as he had done it in his past life.
It was arranged in a way, specifically to train the spinning tornado kick. He stepped back and then ran forward before hopping and spinning.
“Huh, what’s he doing?”
Lucif’s body twisted in the air, his foot slammed the lowest target and his other foot span and hit the second. His body completed a full turn, his left leg landed on the ground and he kicked off. Usually he could complete the movement in one go but he wanted to converse energy because he had to repeat the move so many times.
His legs once again span around and he hit the third and fourth targets consecutively before smashing the last target with his heel on the return. His feet landed on the ground, his body still moving from the twisting momentum before he span and started from the bottom once again. Over and over again he continued to kick until he fell over from dizziness.
Tick..tick..tick, the time finished and Lucif slowly gathered his balanced before standing up. But his head was still turning. ‘Damn, this test was pretty hard. It was only a minute of spinning kicks but it’s already got me feeling like this. How hard will these next levels be?’
The workers and the boss were shocked, “What the hell was that?”

Human in a Demon's Hide
I had recently enrolled in the military as a lowly footsoldier. Oh, before you could proceed any further, let me tell you about myself. I ain’t some patriotic soldier that’ll lay down my life for the sake of my country. Hell no! That shit is for the people with loose screws! I had only a few goals when I joined the army: March into battle, kick ass, and earn me some cash! Achieving glory on the way wouldn’t hurt. I just need the money to feed my little brother and sister. Their world is all I want to protect. The glory is for washing clean the stains that my father left on the family name. We became such a joke in the country that our mother abandoned us. I don’t know if he really did betray the country, but I don’t care. For my little siblings to suffer the same mockery and humiliation that I did is unacceptable! To protect the smiles of my only family, I would do anything. Yet, life knows to shit on you when things are just getting good. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, author-san here! This is my first story, set up in a fantasy world. It's based on the medieval and steam era where magic is rare and alchemy is used widely used as a weapon by people. There would be lots of action, adventure, betrayal, tragedy, romance, etc. ahead. Warnings-The mc is a bit mean and foul-mouthed, introvert. There would be strong language and lots of monologue narration by the MC. The stories are fast-paced and progressing faster. The chapters update would be unstable, depending on my daily life. You would get fast updates... or slow. Also, English isn't my first language. So don't expect perfect grammar :( P.S. - I would like some constructive critique and feedback! It fills my motivation gauge and increases that rate of chapter/week. (/>3

Destinatus
Volume 1: Follows the story of an amnesiac named Gratus whose narrative reflects the fragmentation in his mind. His journey to restore his memories pits him against monsters and questionable allies that seem to want him dead. Volume 2: Prequel to volume 1 that follows Cogito's narrative, a rising star that is tied to a family legacy he cannot escape. Connects the fragments in volume 1 and expands on the world of Dominia. **Author’s Note: Cover Art and Synopsis is subject to change. I just wanted to post my story here to get feedback and improve it, so it’s okay to be brutally honest! What I am posting is a rough draft so I don't mind rewritting whole chapters and segments of stories as long as it doesn't make the story worse haha. **Author’s Note: LitRPG elements begins in Volume 2, same with potentially traumatising content.

Spirits, or what people usually referred to as ghosts, are something that has always been with us since ancient times. Some people are gifted to see them. However, most of us can’t see them without training. And without seeing them, we won’t believe. People only believe what they see, after all. However, I assure you, spirits are real. Spirits are always there. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they are not real. Just like people of ancient ages who can’t see bacteria or those who can’t see stars further than eyes can see, there are limits to our technology. Similarly, even though the current technology can’t prove the existence of supernatural beings, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. In the future, if we can develop technology so everyone can see them just like how a microscope helps us seeing micro beings, I believe everyone will believe it too. That being said, I still can’t prove their existence yet. -Raleigh Von Vlad Update daily (if possible, if not, guaranteed chapters are on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday) Thanks to gej302 for the fantastic cover!

Who she is has been lost to time for most, but her continued existence will throw everything further out of balance. The south has barely survived their recent Pyrrhic victory against the north immediately followed by a coup. The north is bloodied but unbowed, on the brink of civil war, but still ready to take up arms against the southern invaders. The leaders of the south cannot afford another obstacle. And Janurana is just that. Yet her chance meeting with a woman expelled from the warrior class named Dhanur gives them both a chance to avenge the ones they loved, finish what they failed to do, and return to a normal life. *** Set in a fantasized bronze age India featuring LGBT female leads. Told in an omniscient pov with glances into multiple characters. This is my first book even if I've been working on it for a while but I hope you can all still find some enjoyment and take a break from everything happening in the world. This project has no purpose
Summary: This is the story about the life of a "human" amidst a world that only appears to be earth at first glance. Long ago the face of this world resembled the typical tales of yore; of knights and fairies, swords and magic, however such an era has come and gone. Even the world of fantasy has progressed steadily into the modern epoch filled with the wonders of science and technology! In the ancient times a certain crisis had occured that lead to the quick decline of various magical species. Due to their low population and general incompatibility with the other races they could not crossbreed to save their numbers. Left with no other choice the major races of the world gathered together in an attempt to change the fate of this dying world. Their only hope was a special 'world-tier' magic known as 'the dusk of harmony'. The result of this magic would dissolve every race into their purest essences known as 'aspect' and instill them within the human population. The humans were the best choice as their numbers were numerous and form was similar to most races. As such, the various races of this world managed to save themselves in essence and soul only, though perhaps there was no other choice. With the various humans now carrying the weight and aspects of those who came before, life has continued onto the modern age. Yet, even amongst these hybrids 'Pures' emerge from time to time, beings who have inherited not only aspects of the ancient races, but their forms too. These Pures are often times exceptionally talented and seen as near deities. This is the story of a perculiar boy who is born with the soul of a stranger from the world known as 'Earth'. With the memories and soul of a human, he too is a rare Pure; a pure human. --- This project literally has no purpose and is being written because I felt like it. There isn't any semblance of a solid direction nor have I thought about any characters aside from the main character and a few auxiliary cast. If you would like to contribute to building this world with me then please contact me through a DM or by leaving a comment, I will be sure to credit you.
