《Kenosis of the Light Bearer》Chapter 61 - The Hidden Sky Village

It got darker and darker but the demi-humans had animal like eyes. How could they possibly have trouble seeing in an environment like this? Only Lucif with his mediocre human eyesight was struggling to see.
The cave abruptly came to a halt as Lucif hit his nose on a hard rock wall in front. “Ahh…what is this..?”
He grabbed his nose and held it.
“It’s the entrance to my Hidden Sky Village.”
Sora reached forward and tapped on the door in a very unique way and at perfectly timed intervals, each tap lasted only 20 milliseconds or less and was done with a certain amount of pressure to create a unique sound. White Snow noticed this but it was hard to remember and even harder to perform.
Lucif didn’t notice anything. It just sounded like a fast rolling tap to him.
After he stopped, a popping sound was heard as a faint bubble layer over the top of the wall broke. The protective membrane that covered the entrance to the Hidden Sky Village disappeared and the lights on the side wall lit up revealing the door before the trio.
The door was magnificently carved and seemed to tell a tale. There were human like figures all across the cave door but they weren’t human at all.
They were actually goblins and they were fighting some sort of giant creature with huge wings and a shell over its back. It looked similar to a snail but also similar to that of a dragon.
It had a long tail but no legs, its shell was gigantic with red glowing light patterns on it and its arms were long and stretchy. It had three sharp claws on each hand and no opposable thumbs. Its head was that of a snail but its mouth was shaped like that of a dragon’s snout.

Surely there was some significant story to these cave paintings, perhaps an old legend or fairytale but just before Lucif could ask Sora about it Sora cleared his voice and said,
“Elder Young, it’s me Sora…”
“Ah, Sora? You have returned this quickly?”
The Elder had a surprised expression as he quickly pulled on a lever, light started glowing as the rocks floated into the air and moved aside. The rocks were covered by a glowing blue field and flew through the air to create an archway. It was like watching a scene from an ancient harry potter film.
Of course this wasn’t magic, this was pure science! But the mysteries behind it eluded Lucifer’s understanding.
“This trip of yours only lasted a mere week, and I see you brought guest along with you.” Elder Young sized them up and down as he made a few judgments in his head. The Young Master often brought guest back so that wasn’t too surprising.
But this was the first time he had brought back someone from a big predator clan like the Dire Wolves. And even stranger was the human looking boy beside him. Elder Young flicked his snake like tongue into the air.
Sky Serpents had the ability to pick up tiny chemical particles in the air by flicking their tongue, it was similar to smelling someone except it was even more powerful that of a dogs sense of smell. They could detect the chemicals present in the air and also process them.
They were natural detectives that could solve murder just by comparing the chemical surroundings. But right now all Elder Young was doing was sensing the chemical smell of the human like boy to determine his race.
After a quick flick of his tongue his eyes widened as he realized that this boy wasn’t anything but human. Instantly his eyes reddened and he geared up into a defensive position.

Humans were simply the most fearsome predators in existence. They were blood thirsty murderers, he was an Elder but even he felt fear growing in his heart as he tensed his muscles ready to retaliate.
But Sora nodded his head in response to Elder Young’s words, “We ran into some trouble, but these two are my new acquaintances Snow White and Lucifer.”
After hearing the Young Lords words, Elder Young calmed down but he didn’t relax his guard. Inside he was trembling but on the surface he was trying to show a strong front.
White Snow gnashed his teeth when he heard Sora say his name in such a way; he was often teased because of his name. “It’s White Snow not Snow White.”
“Heh.” Sora and Lucifer found his personality quite amusing. Despite his fearsome demeanor he was actually a big softy that was easily teased.
“Elder Young, I would like to request that you to gather the village council, my father the chief, and the grand elders. I have a matter of utmost importance to discuss.”
Elder Young’s eyes widened for a second in surprise and then he quickly flew into the air flying off into the distance, his speed was quite fearsome. He instantly kicked up a wind as the grass below him parted ways.
He didn’t stop to ask questions, if the Young Lord says it was of utmost importance then it definitely was!
But inside he had his own suspicions. He had to read between the lines. The real reason the Young Lord had asked him to assemble the most powerful in the village was for one thing. To eliminate the human!
It was obvious that this human was incredibly powerful and Sora felt that the front guards couldn’t handle him. Then he secretly directed him to call for reinforcements because he felt that even Elder Young wasn’t strong enough to face this great enemy alone.
Elder Young’s thoughts ran wild as he used his top speed to call for help.
White Snow and Lucifer couldn’t help but marvel at the Elders speed, he was simply too fast. Even Sora was surprised by his speed.
‘Why was he rushing away so fearsomely? There wasn’t a misunderstanding was there?’ Sora thought to himself but then pushed it to the back of his mind.

Her school practiced drills in case raiders came, and the town grew crops in their greenhouse-adapted homes, which were the only places warm enough during the worldwide nuclear winter. The Lakiran empire invades—a corporate-born nation overseen by their corporate-born queen, Victoria Paladino. They ride silent planes whose repulsion field veered bullets away. Three years of occupation later, an exemplar visits—a member of Victoria’s oversight committee rumored to read minds. He tells Winnie that she may have a unique mental power, or a flair. At the empire’s capital, the queen herself tutors Winnie to help her reach the full potential of whatever power she may have. Meanwhile, in post-war Nigeria, a streetwise teenager named Naema sees a different side of the empire. Between corruption and oppression, everyone lives in squaller. Mother World
Three people find themselves in a strange place filled with dangerous creatures and monsters that prowl during the night. Will they adapt or die trying?Rule #1: Beware of the black water. Rule #2: Don't act like a cliche horror movie character. Rule #3: Being strong is a plus---------------------------This story was inspired by a dream I was in and I just had to turn it into a written story. This is basically my very first attempt at creating a story beyond ten pages and I'm writing it for fun so please be gentle~ Mother World will contain some sci-fi, elements of fantasy, supernatural powers and of course some romance. When it comes to the romance it'll be gradual. The romance may or may not contain sex scenes as I'm not sure if ya'll would want my half baked attempts at tickling your fancy. The horror tag is there because I am a really big fan of horror games. I'll try not to be too excessively gory, however... there will be blood... I like to treat my characters like those in game of thrones. Screw plot armor! As for the tragedy tag...ya'll will just have find that out for yourselves won't ya! :)Also beyond chapter 4.5, I'll try and consistantly keep them at 1000+ words.
