“Master, I am back at the mansion, everything is soooo red!” Snuff spoke, he hadn`t an idea that was blood, his innocent personality was similar to a new born cub.
“How is the situation there?” he asked warily, he didn`t want anyone to find out the rucksack he had left behind. His experience told him it would be a rare item, as he hadn`t witnessed anyone using a dimensional storage.
“Master, some people are cleaning the mess” snuff`s voice became soft
“Did they go towards my room?” he questioned
“No” a quick reply was sent back. Cancelling the mental link, Lucifer took time to ponder, where he had been dropped off too. A fresh fragrance of cooked meat tickled his nose. Turning his gaze, towards the location of the fragrance, he walked towards it. Sitting upon a log, a man clad with dark essence was peering at the pot before him.
As Lucifer approached him and said, "Do you know where we are?” the man was somewhat surprised. His appearance is what you would describe as skinny. His irises were pale blue and looked as if he was a sickly patient.
“Silth Island”, he gave a brief reply
“Do you know where my Aunt is?” he asked softly
The man raising his bony fingers, pointed to a cabin, blocked from sight, by a bunch of trees. Scanning the cabin with his perception, he noticed Aunt Hilda`s distinct mana and around her tiny golden specks of light rotated. Analyzing the situation, he knew the requirements had been met by Aunt Hilda in gaining a soul breakthrough. However, he intentionally took a step forward.
“I wouldn`t do that if, I were you” the man spoke with a cold tone. A flash of envy had appeared on his expression as he looked at the cabin, before he sighed
“Your Aunt is going through an important stage, so don`t disturb her” Lucifer nodded before sitting himself on a log, beside the man. He knew that gaining soul insight was a very rare event, many peak experts longed for it, However, many wouldn`t acquire it even after a thousand years. Missing the opportunity once, one would have to wait for; god knows how many years, before another presented itself.
After a while looking at the cabin, he saw the mana fluctuations decrease as the golden specks of light made their way into her body. As soon as the specks entered her, all the mana around a certain radius of the cabin was completely absorbed by her. The cabin door swung open, Aunt Hilda walked out, her aura had increased. As she saw Lucifer, her face turned extremely somber.
No wonder she was depressed, she had killed her own sister and her nephew's mother. Walking up to her, he gave her a warm hug, lightening her mood. She moved towards the man, taking Lucifer along with her. She kept quite about his mother`s death thinking it would deter his mental state.
The man giving a peek towards Aunt Hilda muttered “Congratulations” in a somewhat audible tone
“So are you going to change to an attribute core?” the man said as he looked at Aunt Hilda, which she in turn responded with a nod.

At that moment Aunt Hilda introduced the man, she explained he was very shy in nature and would rarely converse with anyone except her. The man then proceeded to introduce himself as ‘Kalac’. Kalac taking a pair of plates handed one to us both, floating the soup which broiled inside the pot, he directed it into our plates with a motion of his hand. Not spilling one bit of it as it landed into their plates.
“Aunt Hilda, where are Malcolm and the others?” Lucifer enquired
“They were dropped back to their institute, Avaritia Darling, before we arrived at the island; you also need to go to your`s soon”
Finishing up the exquisite meal, Aunt Hilda went back to the cabin for a while to meditate so she could collect earth essence to mold her core, leaving him behind. Using his mana perception he scanned the cabin as Aunt Hilda began to meditate, brown specks were swirling in a vortex around , and were slowly inching towards her chest were the core would be located.
Getting bored of the sight, he went back to his own cabin, were he sat also in a meditative state, to increase his mastery in blood manipulation, he regulated the blood flow in his body for a few hours, until he heard a knock on the door. Getting up from his trance, he unlocked it, to see Aunt Hilda waiting.
“We are going back” she uttered, before grabbing his hands and vanishing from the spot before appearing in front of the mansion. Lucifer immediately entered the mansion, examining it; the house was back to its former state before the massacre.
Running back to his room, he checked if his rucksack was still present, finding it he breathed out a sigh of relief. The mansion today had an eerie silence; the veil of darkness slowly covered the sky. Putting on his clothes, he waited until mid-night settled in, returning to the forest, he sat into a trance at his allocated space in the forest.
Cutting his wrist with a with a permafrost dagger, he let the scent of blood disperse into the air, attracting the nearby beasts. As they drew in by his scent, standing a few meters away he manipulated their blood, toying with them to increase his mastery. After an hour or so, a panel popped up presenting that he had completely mastered Blood manipulation, he smirked slightly before exploding the beasts in front of him.
He had almost killed all of the high-leveled beasts in the forest, and his leveling up had gotten harder. The forest was now completely void of its purpose besides for collecting herbs. Returning back to the mansion, he slept till the break of dawn. Waking up, he refreshed himself before putting on his common attire, a white shirt with grey trousers. Exiting his room, he continued towards the breakfast hall however, at the table only a few dishes were present. Expecting it, he sited himself onto a chair then dug into his meal. Lucifer and Aunt Hilda were the only one`s present at the table with 2 maids tending the kitchen.
A carriage had rattled to a stop in front of the mansion soon after their meal; the Sirvius institute had personally provided a carriage to accompany him on his journey to the elven continent. At the doorstep, Aunt Hilda embraced him tightly before he set off will also sniffling. He knew that Aunt Hilda was going to soon ascend to the Mystical realm and could only return after 5,000 years or so it is said. She had distributed her inheritance between her children beforehand, also allocating a quarter of it to him. Adding Alexander`s and Aunt Hilda`s portion together, he could live a lavish life if he wanted too. However, his cousins and him had no one to rely on in emergencies.

As the carriage parted away from the mansion, he gave a final look towards it, knowing he might never return. Lucifer had personally come to like Aunt Hilda and bared no ill-will towards her due to her lovable nature. The carriage was moving towards the city of Drasha, which was built at the banks of a large natural harbor. From there he would have to take a ship across the ocean which divided the two continents apart.
The journey took a while as it was located east of casaria, he slept along the way as there was not much to see. The noise of the marketplace he previously encountered assaulted his ears, knowing he had reached his destination he waited for the carriage to come to a halt. As it came to a standstill in front of a tavern, he wore a dark hoody which he had previously bought from the mansion, to avoid the stares he would get. Getting off, the carriage driver confronted him explaining that he would have to wait till tomorrow morning to board the ship which was scheduled to arrive today due to an unexpected delay.
As he entered the tavern, he witnessed the yelling and perverted laughs which resounded in it, he walked towards the tavern desk, facing the owner. A female, who had quite mature body, her breasts were large, causing many of the men present to ogle at her, and her braids looked, similar to gentle waves, her body gave off an intoxicating scent, that would distort a man`s thoughts.
Looking at her, he slipped a few silver coins onto the desk while saying “A room, please”. The woman couldn`t notice where he was looking, as he was wearing the hoodie, leaning a bit forward, the woman presented more of her cleavage so she could haggard more coins of him. Noticing in a matter of seconds that he was not swayed by her looks, she handed him a key which she had seized from the desk drawers.
“Room 56” she muttered before returning back to serve her customers. Lucifer stomach rumbled quite a bit, wanting to have a meal before going to his room. He sat at a table in the tavern`s corner, so he could observe the people around.
Taking the menu of the table he examined the varied meals they provided, selecting a few of his choice, he called for the waitress; all the women who served at the tavern were quite the lookers.
“No wonder they get so many customers” he thought
Mentioning his orders, he waited for his meal to be served. Surveying the tavern more thoroughly, he noticed some shady characters, who were also eating their meals. One would not discover them, as the hide their presence well enough, However, they couldn't escape his perception radius which could give a total count of the people present. It caught his suspicion as to why so many of the shady people were present at the tavern. However, he chose to ignore it for now, his meal was soon served, the aroma of the meal, tingled his senses, and he instantly started to devour it, his appetite had grown a lot during these days.
Half-way through his meal, fights broke out in the tavern; he noticed it was instigated by one of the shady people. As the sounds of bottles smashing onto scalps, tables and chairs smashing against people, blood was occasionally spilled. The shady bunch had a fight in between them too; one of them was brutally stabbed in the throat. Though, no one noticed them due to the ruckus. Lucifer slowly sipped his juice while chewing on his lizard meat as he watched the drama enfold in front of him. He also wanted to aggravate them further, so during the commotion he tossed a fireball, into the fight.
Screams erupted as people were set ablaze, then gust of winds, water bullets and earth spikes erupted in the tavern, summoned by the people battling. The intensity of the commotion reached a new threshold as magic got involved.
During that moment, a heavy pressure fell upon the tavern, crushing everyone in it to the ground. Lucifer quietly continued his meal; the Shady people also stood standing a distance away. A man wearing luxurious clothing came into the tavern, before arrogantly seating himself onto a chair, he ordered several meals, which the tavern`s owner personally delivered. Looking at her, he suddenly grasped her, while forcefully seating her onto his lap, pushing his hands into her clothes; he started to fondle her breasts.
The Shady people left the tavern, as soon as he had entered, finishing his meal, Lucifer got up. As the arrogant man saw him standing he was startled, Lucifer dusted himself before heading back towards his room. The man`s meager pressure could barely faze him, as he was proceeding up the stairs, the man flinged a wind materialized dagger towards his head while drinking from a bottle of alcohol. Lucifer raising his hand dispersed the materialized dagger, before manipulating the alcohol into an icicle which stabbed into the man throat.
Not giving him a glance, he headed to his room, the sound of the man`s body hitting the ground echoed to his ears. Entering the room, he clambered onto his somewhat comfy bed, beckoning himself to sleep. He had left Snuff back at the mansion, as pets were not permitted at the institute; he missed the comforts of the mansion. The room was dimly illuminated by a candle on the drawer beside the bed, shadows danced on the ceiling; he lost consciousness as he watched the shadows unruly dance.
