Chapter 19 – Violating the Laws
Author`s note: Well, just enjoy! There are mistakes because it is not proofread
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Waking up early, he got of the rickety bed; he wore the hoodie which was hanging from its frame. He peered from the small window in his room, looking at the crowds of people flooding the market place. He exited the room, heading downstairs, the people in the tavern shushed instantly as they saw him, hiss display yesterday, had quite left quite the mark in their memory.
The tavern`s owner slowly approached him, thanking him for the help, then she took his order “boar strips and mushed mulberry juice”, She excluded all the meal payments from his tab. His order was quickly delivered enjoying the hearty meal; he went towards the desk, asking “when the ship would dock at the harbor?” Within 4 to 5 hours was the response, finding something to do in the meantime, he asked the tavern owner for a map of the city, which she gently handed out.
Departing the tavern, he went to check out, the various shops that were aligned opposite to the tavern. Entering an alchemy shop he examined the potions which were lined up in the cabinet with prices displayed on tags attached to them. The fragrance in the shop was soothing to the mind, leaving the customers who entered refreshed. Though, the potions produced were downgrade, but were sold at high prices as there were no other competitors, the owner was an old crafty man who monopolized the market.
He exited the shop, looking at the crowds, he saw a handful of racial mixed families, an elf with a human female, carrying their Halfling child to a circus nearby, a humanlike orc guided his son to small café with his elven wife. The continents lived in harmony, as a declaration was made by the continents due to the Great War that had occurred decades ago.
Entering the blacksmith, he saw the typical robust man tending to the weapons and armor. The temperature was high, as beads of sweat hung over Lucifer`s face. Regulating his temperature with cryokinesis, he went over to the man who was bellowing out orders, tapping him over the shoulder to get his attention. As the man turned he said with a loud voice “What do you want?”
“A katana” Lucifer said, he personally chose it because he relied more on speed, because whoever was faster could land more blows and therefore could come out as the victor. His dynamic acuity also gave him higher precision, so that was another reason he had selected it. The blacksmith taking him to a shelf presented him with a range of katana`s with varying sharpness and tensile strength.
Testing the grip and various other factors, he chose the most expensive as it was comfortable to grip and maneuver. Handing a bag of gold coins from his rucksack hidden under his hoodie, he took it and left the smithy. In an alley, he placed the katana into it. As he ventured throughout the city, his thought`s went back to his wrath art`s as they were incomplete due to Aunt Hilda not getting opportunities to teach him. However, he had gotten the fundamentals of the style down, and with his mind palace he could derive his own techniques from it. That was one problem solved, second he needed an item that could accurately tell him the time, unlike the human continent, and others had different climatic conditions that would cause his sense of time to be distorted.

Venturing into an antique shop, he looked at the miscellaneous items sold there, his gaze darted over a mana tuned pocket watch which attuned itself automatically. Buying all the necessary goods he needed he headed towards the harbor following the map. As he passed a trio of an elven boy and two girls, he noticed the bizarre aura of the youngest elven girl, she was absorbing all the elemental essence in the air at a rapid rate, examining her mana, he knew that she was at the transient rank and also the other two were at the same rank. Their appearance told that they siblings and human Halflings at that, the youngest though was a peculiarity. As he silently followed them, overhearing their talks, they were also recruited by the Sirvius institute; somehow he had reached the harbor as he had followed them.
In front of them, a huge ship swayed gently, The ‘Holsteim’ was painted on its side.
“All going to Epouranios, board the ship” resounded throughout the harbor from a speaker. As many merchants and people lined up at its entrance, their names were checked by the crew of the ship. After the check, a number was given designating their cabin Lucifer entering the ship, was lead to his cabin, and only the Sirvius institute recruits got such treatment. Arriving into his cabin, he took of his hoodie and quickly sat into a meditative stance; looking at the ranks of his fellow competitors he had the desire to even grow stronger. He was at Lv.43 right now, 32 more levels to go to the Transient rank, the journey would take 27 days to complete.
During the past 2 days, he absorbed a large quantity of elemental essence as he had no need of enlarging his mana pool; however he tried to further refine his mana, though it was proving to be hard. He barely ate anything or sipped any drinks focusing completely on absorbing elemental essence and purifying his mana, the purity of his Fire and Ice attribute had increase to a large degree, he had collected a variety of elemental essence in his body.
A strange thought erupted into his mind, “why couldn`t he create his own core before transcending”, he had read about a few cases where people tried to produce an attribute core before ascending, however, they succumbed to their death due to violating the principles of the universe. He himself was an enigma to the universe, and his urge to create a core increased each passing second.
Enticed by his desire, there are two methods of creating a core, one is to molding a container inside the body with mana and slowly pouring the desired attribute essence into it, the benefit is you can create core overtime and less mana is required, though the intake of essence is very slow and of lower purity. The second method is to create a mana container outside the body and to fill it with the desired attribute essence and then absorb the core into the body, the advantages are that the core will be of higher purity and will be created faster. The drawbacks are it`s highly unstable, enormous amounts of mana are needed to mold a strong core and if he lost focus during the period and the core explodes he would suffer from a severe backlash, which would disrupt his mana flow and destroy his soul on the spot.

Another fear is that during the process, judgment would be delivered upon him for violating the laws. At the moment he was very grateful for his ever growing mana supply. However, he loved such deadly situations.
Calling the cabin crew he told them, that no one should disturb him for the next 25 days. Locking the door, he sat in the middle of the room in a meditative stance, shrouding layers of mana around him; after he had fused three thousand of the layers together he created an insanely dense mana shield around him to withstand the upcoming trial. Pouring out his mana, he created a globe of mana in front of him, it insides were empty so he could fill it with essence. He built many layers and fused them together to create a sturdy globe container as while as sending his mana to further strengthen the shield. His goal was to create a multi attribute core, which was an extremely difficult task.
Satisfied with the strength of his container, he started purifying the elemental essence around him, before dispersing it into the container were it turned into liquid and merged with the other elements within the container. During the beginning of the process, waves of bolts of lightning assaulted his shield and after each wave their strength would increase, mind boggling amount of mana went to repair the shield while also strengthening it to withstand the growing intensity of the attacks.
His concentration was solely focused on the globe and the flow of elemental essence in front of him, during the periods where the container would become unstable and he would have to supply mana to further strengthen it. The purity of his essence was to a high degree and the merging of the elements was going at a fast pace. As five days passed by, only 30 percent of the container was filled and the assault had increased to a great intensity with bolts of all elements striking upon his shield, the terrifying thing was each bolt was packed with power to create small sized craters. Moreover, the astonishing thing was the shield could withstand torrents of such attacks.
During the process he suddenly had gained insight, all the bolts were a fusion of the highest degree of elemental essence and mana. As they collided with his shields, he withdrew the elemental essence with them and transferred it to his globe, which boosted his essence merging speed. With the passing of 17 days his core was 97 percent completed and in two more days he had completed the core. As soon as it was finished the assault stopped, looking at the core before, he was filled with liquid elemental essence of the highest degree. The core glistened with an array of colors as it contained most of the basic attributes.
Drawing it into his body, it located itself right at the center of his chest just above his mana pool; strings left the core and attached themselves to all his organs and veins. Acting as mediator for all his elemental energy, a string also joined itself to his pool.
There were drastic changes going on in his body, could now clearly sense the essence in the air, and the efficiency of his mana flow had increase by a huge margin. But above all, his strength had approached that of a Justicar rank which is the beginning level for the Mystical realm even though he was still an elite ranker.
Dispersing the mana shield he wore his hoodie and left the cabin, walking to the deck he had seen daylight for 24 days. A top the deck he looked at the horizon enjoy the vastness of the sea, he was enthralled at his progress and he was one step closer to his revenge. However, he dare didn`t get arrogant, as there were others who were as irregular as himself and he would have to one day have to confront them too. Time passed by as he watched the waves clash on top of each other losing himself in the tranquility. He didn`t notice that the youngest girl from the trio was peering at him from behind, as he turned back his gaze clashed with her`s.
Her expression twisted into one of a battle fanatic!

As a penniless orphan with no friends to speak of, life was tough for him in his little Arizona town in the '90s. He'd utterly lost hope for the future until one day, he was reincarnated as Alvanue, beloved daughter and heir to the Starlit Throne of Silthonduen. Now, Alvanue has everything a princess could ever want: a loving family, loyal comrades and an entire kingdom at her finger tips. But what good is a kingdom when there's a whole world of magic and mystery out there to explore? *** Ok! Disclaimer time. I do edit my own work and I do not have a beta reader, so please feel free to point out any errors or plot holes (politely, of course). Each chapter will be around 4,000 to 6,000 words long and while I was posting every day at the beginning, I think I'll cut that down to once a week for now, excluding bonus chapters! I really don't want to get burned out. I started writing this because I love world building, so this is gonna be heavy on lore. If you're not into that, there's still a ton of character progression and action to look forward to! It's going to be slow at the beginning, but I promise it will pick up eventually. Thanks for checking my story out, I appreciate it a lot!

The Fall
Perhaps the most well known of all devils, demons, or fallen angels is the one known as Lucifer, Satan, the Father of Lies. The cultural influence of this figure throughout history is by no means small. Despite that, it wasn’t until the time of Milton’s classic – Paradise Lost – that we saw an attempt to portray a dramatized version of the events leading to this figure’s fall from grace and power. And while this is the case, Paradise Lost is not about Lucifer – though it goes into great detail about his potential musings. No, Paradise Lost was, and still is, about the fall of mankind. So, in light of this, and the feeling that the classical story deserved another telling, I present to you all The Fall – a story focused particularly on Lucifer’s fall from grace and his musings both before and after.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
