A second after Ryu had confirmed he’d made it back, his celebrations were cut short by none other than a floating box.
[Your offense of “Action against self-preservation” has been reviewed by an agent and the following outcome chosen: 1 hour of active timeout.]
Ryu was a fairly quick reader, but even he barely managed to finish reading the message before the world around him instantly warped into a-
“Is this a classroom?” said Ryu, looking around.
“Yup.”
Ryu found the source of the voice, a boy about his age sitting beside a window.
“Y’know, to teach us a lesson,” said the boy.
“Ah.”
Ryu took a seat at one of the desks in the room and looked at the board. It wasn’t a modern classroom by any means, in fact it appeared as if the room was devoid of any electronics. Whether that was to stay in theme or some other purpose, Ryu didn’t know.
“So what are you in for?” said the boy.
“I tried to stab myself. You?”
“Tried to diddle a 400 year old vampire.”
Ryu smirked.
“Hey! I thought that shit was legal…”
“You know this isn’t that kind of game right?”
The boy grumbled and sat back while Ryu wondered what he could do for an hour. If he logged out he’d still be here when he came back, so that wasn’t exactly a solution.
“Huh,” said Ryu.
The other boy looked at Ryu, expecting him to speak up.
“Uh, it’s nothing.”
Ryu placed his head on his desk and looked out the window. He’d found the answer, why did he have to wait?
Ryu remembered the time before shutting his eyes. It was mostly pointless though since he could see the numbers dancing even with his eyes closed.
However, there were things he couldn’t see with his eyes shut.
Upon opening them, the first thing he noticed was the people, walking back and forth to get wherever they were going, but he couldn’t hear them. It was if the world was on mute so that he could focus on box hovering before him.
[Your timeout has ended. We hope this experience will deter you from breaking any rules in the future.]
