The kingdom of Thuron still stands.
We have already anticipated this kind of scenario, but it was still shocking to see a city nestled between two mountains thriving with activity and trade. We watched from the edge of a nearby forest as lines of people entered and left through the southern gates, a scene that is already common in the Empire.
The city is called Tumrok based on the records and journals we have, and it struck my mind that it is still standing even after centuries. The kingdom seems to be living on its own, isolated from the rest of the world. How can it maintain its cities and people? Magic is presumed to be a key factor, though we suspect that monsters play a vital role.
We camped in a secluded area that night, wary of scouts and patrols. Some of us will visit the city tomorrow, hoping to learn how Thuronians act and get information about whoever had placed us in this whole mess. But we have to be careful; we are outsiders, and Thuronians would surely suspect us if at the first sign of trouble.
