《The Love of a Lazy Potato with Cheats- MCU FanFic》Episode 66-Shawarma!

“You know Tony was saying something about shawarma or something?”
Natasha informed me as her stomach grumbled when we were getting close to her house. “Do you want shawarma?”
She looked at me. “What is it though?”
I smiled remembering having tasted it after seeing the avengers movie back in my previous life. “Well in my opinion a simplified way to describe it is just another version of chicken wrap or chicken burrito but made differently.”
Natasha nodded in slight disappointment. “Guess we can have shawarma later on then.”
I looked at her in question. “Why?”
“I don’t have any wraps back at home.”
I grinned hearing her reply. “Don’t worry about that. You just go and have a nice bath while I prepare dinner.”
She didn’t bother to question me and just trusted me. “Alright.”
We both arrived in front of her house. “I forgot to say Clint broke in again to look for you.”
I told her as she noticed something odd about her door front. “Figured, I don’t understand why he doesn’t just take the spare key instead of constantly breaking in.”
She opened the door and walked in with me. “Maybe he just likes breaking in.”
Natasha smiled as I closed the door.
We walked in examining for any damages from the invasion. “Nothing seems to have happened to your house.”
I told her. “Our house.”
She corrected me. “Our house.”
I repeated back with a smile. “I will be back.”
*Muah* Kissing me she went upstairs to wash up and get changed. Smiling I waved my hand causing me to shrink up. Opening a portal, I quickly went to a shop that was open somewhere in Australia.
Grabbing several chicken and ingredients needed for shawarma I went to the checkout. “AU$50.”
I nodded as I extended my card out and paid for the food before walking out with the shopping. Just as I was out I shrunk with the food in my hand before appearing back at Nat’s house with everything.
Several nanobots emerged from my clothes to form a spike needed to stab through the chicken later on for the rotisserie. I cracked my knuckles as I decided to employ both magic and science to make Natasha the best shawarma in the world. ‘Rooted potato…’
By the time Natasha walked down I was wrapping up the 8th shawarma as several slices of chicken rotated in the rotisserie created with the help of my nanobots in her kitchen. “I swear that wasn’t there when I went up.”
Natasha pointed out as she walked up to me with her wet hair and her long sleeve dress and trousers which was odd for her to wear in the house with me. “Nanobots.”
I grinned as waved my hand out causing the rotisserie to float up. Natasha watched the rotisserie in interest before looking at me. “Is it ready?”
She cared more about the shawarma I promised her rather than my invention like always. “Hahaha!”
I laughed as I pointed at the 2 plates of chips and shawarma I had ready before me. “And I got spares in case we need more.”
Natasha grabbed both plates and took them to the place we always sat in. I smiled seeing this as opened the fridge to see if there were any drink. I froze seeing several bottles of mango juice with one of them already opened and half drank.
I looked up in guilt to see Nat was placing the plates down and looking for the remote. Grabbing the half drank bottle and two glass, I closed the fridge and walked up to her just as she turned on the TV. “What do you want to watc…”

She stopped talking as she noticed the mango juice in my hand. A small smile came on her face as she looked at me. Placing the drink down with the glasses on the table, I stood up and kissed her forehead much to her confusion.
“I just brought it because I began to like mango juice after you got me addicted to it.”
I didn’t say anything back and just nodded along. We both sat down on the sofa. “So, what do you want to watch?”
She finished off her question to me. “I haven’t followed up on any movies. Just put on anything you like.”
Natasha nodded as she randomly chose a movie that ended up being 21 Jump Street. I passed her a plate as I took one for myself. She leaned onto me like we always used to and just sat there eating while watching the movie quietly.
Nat bit in before she had a dreamy expression. “I really missed your food.”
I smiled as I asked her. “More than me?”
She looked at me before looking at the shawarma. “That is a tough question.”
I couldn’t help but laugh. “Hahaha!”
She pinched my cheeks. “Stop laughing with food in your mouth.”
I grinned feeling her hands on my face again. *Muah* I kissed her hand that was on my face, causing the sauce on my lips to go on her hand. “David!”
She looked at me in annoyance as she wiped the sauce on my cheek. “Hehehe!”
She smiled seeing my laugh as she leaned on me and carried on eating.
Finished with the meal Natasha sat leaning on my chest tiredly. I mentally called out to my nanobots causing them to appear and take the plates away. “That’s helpful.”
I nodded to her comment on my bots. “Oh, you have no idea.”
She smiled as she just kept leaning on my chest until the movie ended. Natasha uttered tiredly. “Let’s go sleep.”
I prepared to move only to see her face suddenly wincing in pain. She quickly hid it, but it was useless as I already saw it. “Are you okay?”
She smiled as she caressed my face. “Why wouldn’t I be?”
Not feeling something right I picked her up and carried her to her room. “I missed this.”
She leaned on my chest as I carried her. I kissed her forehead.
Arriving inside our bedroom I laid her gently down on the bed as I prepared to examine her. Natasha moved her legs away seeing me stretch my hand towards her dress before stating to me. “I am tired, David. We can do it tomorrow.”
I shook my head as she tried to distract me with the thought of sex. “Stop lying and let me see.”
She smiled as she stretched out her arms towards me as she shook her head. “Just come! Let’s sleep.”
I sighed as I went towards her outstretched arms. Just before going into her embrace, I grabbed her wrist and pushed her long sleeve back. “David!”
Natasha pulled her arm away as she pulled the sleeve down. However, I had seen what I needed to. “You are hurt, Nat.”
I remembered seeing the black bruise on her arms. I had stupidly forgotten she had been fighting the past 2 days without rest and unlike Bruce and me she couldn’t heal as fast.
She wore the long sleeve dress to hide her injuries from me. “It’s nothing.”
She smiled as she stretched out her arms towards me. “Just come.”

I shook my head as I pulled up her dress. This time she didn’t resist, and I noticed several bruises on her abdomen. “Why didn’t you tell me you were hurt, Nat?”
I looked up to her to see her sadly smiling. “Because I don’t like you seeing sad.”
I shook my head at her reasoning. “Of course, I will be sad, but you should have told me instead of suffering like this.”
Pulling her dress down she tugged onto my shirt. “I wanted us to be just happy today.”
I sighed hearing her reply and went into her embrace. “Just us for the next few days. No one else.”
I nodded to her request. “No one else.”
*Whizz* A portal opened up out of which several nanobots in the shape of a syringe emerged. Hearing the sound Natasha looked into my eyes without turning around. “What are you doing?
“It will sting a little, but after that, you will feel a lot better.”
She sighed as she shook her head. “You are an idiot.”
I smiled hearing that. “So are you.”
The nanobots plunged into her back. I felt her grip tightly clenching onto my back quietly. “It’s okay.”
I assured her as my nanobots flew back. Natasha’s eyes began to droop. “I feel sleepy.”
I smiled as I caressed her head. “I will be next to you.”
*Whizz* The portal closed leaving us both alone in her room. Her speech began to slur. “Don’t leave me…”
She slowly fell asleep with her tightly holding onto me. I smiled as I kissed her forehead. “I won’t leave you again, no matter what.”
I closed my eyes with her in my embrace.
*Chirp**Chirp* I opened my eyes hearing the singing of the birds.
I looked down at Natasha sleeping so calmly in my embrace. The wait of 2 long years seems so worth it, now that I see her like this.
Moving the locks of her hair from her face I watched her. “I will protect you.”
As I made that promise I suddenly remembered something. ‘My dream! Fuck!’
As I was about to move away from Natasha I noticed she had me in a tight lock. I sighed as I remembered her words before she fell asleep last night.
‘If nothing had happened so far maybe I can afford to be with her some more, without endangering her. Besides the mind stone is in Earth and space stone will soon be in Asgard. It won’t be easy to infiltrate my mind again.’ I told myself as I just enjoyed Natasha’s warmth as we laid in bed.
I decided to investigate the first chance I get on the mind stone when I am away from Natasha. Till then I will be by her side.
I stayed beside her until she woke up a few hours later. As she opened her eyes she looked at me in surprise for a moment. “Good morning.”
As I greeted her she probably realised what happened yesterday wasn’t a dream. She smiled as her hands moved to caress my face. “Good morning.”
Natasha nodded as she kept looking into my eyes. We stared at each other’s mesmerising eyes for a while before we slowly went in for the kiss.
Both of us trembled as we slowly approached the lips of each other once more after years.
Natasha started by nibbling my lip which was soon reciprocated by me as I nibbled at her lips. Then started a race of who could bit each other's lips more before our tongues intertwined with each other.
After a while, we broke apart as Natasha looked at me while panting for breath. “I have missed this and missed you.”
I nodded to her words. “I have so much to talk about and so many things to catch up with you.”
“Guess we will take it one thing at a time now.”
We both giggled after which she just kept looking at me. “Am I good to move doctor?”
I nodded. “Should be good as new.”
She got up and pulled back up her long-sleeve and her trousers to notice the bruises were gone. I asked her a question I have been waiting to ask for a long time. “Date?”
She looked at me with a smile. “Where in this ruined city are you going to take me for a date?”
I asked her as I hugged her from behind her. “How about New Jersey?”
“I don’t mind as long as it is with you.”
I rested my face on her warm back. “I will always be with you.”
I felt her hand reaching for my face. “Save your cheesy flirting for after the date.”
I looked up at her to see her smile. “Alright let’s go.”
We got up from bed. She went towards her wardrobe to change her clothes while I sorted out all the backlog of activities since yesterday.
I looked up for a moment to see her picking a dress from her wardrobe. I smiled seeing this and was about to go back to my phone when I froze seeing something.
I got up and walked behind Natasha just as she was about to close the wardrobe. Natasha turned to see me moving towards her wardrobe. “David?”
I ignored her as I opened her wardrobe. Inside it was my clothes from 2 years ago.
I looked at Natasha as everything came into place. She smiled awkwardly seeing this. “I…”
She couldn’t find words, but I ignored that as I went forward and hugged her feeling really stupid. “I really am an idiot.”
She hugged me back quietly. I decided to tell her the words she needed to hear. “Thank you for waiting for me.”
I realised I was never the one waiting for her, she was just waiting for me to do something. The necklace, keys, the mango juice, my belongings; she just hoped I would come and take her away someday somehow.
Her voice began breaking. “I kept missing you... even though I tried hating you.”
I smiled hearing that. She chuckled in tears. “You know you are an annoying pest that always feeds on my love?”
I could feel her tears as she said those words. “I am sorry I should have come sooner for you.”
She hugged me tightly. “Yeah, you should have you, idiot!”
I leaned on her head as we stood there sharing the pain of our separation from the past 2 years. We didn’t talk and instead just let our tears do the talking.
I asked her after a while. “Are you planning on skipping on our date by standing like this?”
She shook her head as she wiped her tears on my shirt. “I can only move if you let me go.”
I removed my arms around her as I spoke. “Says the person tightly holding onto me.”
She smiled as she looked up at me with a slight pout on her face. “You came onto me first.”
I laughed causing her to laugh with me. “Hahaha! Guilty as charged.”
She released her hold on me before she picked up her clothes from the floor. I looked at her cupboard that was half full of my own clothes. “Can I wear my old clothes?”
Natasha nodded with a smile as she spoke. “They are yours.”
I shook my head as I grabbed my old white and a black check shirt. “Well, they have a different owner now.”
Natasha sighed with a smile. “I think the new owner would be fine.”
We began changing and Nat looked at me in surprise. “Wow, those really do still fit you.”
She caressed my chest. “You haven’t changed at all in 2 years.”
I nodded with a smile as I caressed her face that had aged unlike me. “You have got even more beautiful though.”
“The date’s starts after we step out of the house not before.”
Saying that she grabbed my arms with a slight blush on her face. “Want to see a cool magic trick?”
I asked her to which she nodded. “Sure, go ahead.”
I extended my left hand causing my nanobots from downstairs to fly between the gap through Nat’s door. “That is pretty impressive.”
Nat complimented as the nanobots assimilated into my clothes. I looked at her awkwardly as I said my next words. “That wasn’t the magic trick.”
She asked me looking slightly excited. “So I can expect the magic trick to be better than this?”
I placed an index finger on my lips as I winked at her. “Yeah but don’t tell anyone okay?”
She grinned with a nod. I moved my hand in a clockwise movement causing a circle of sparks to open up under us. *Whizz* Hearing the familiar sound she looked down. “Woah!”
I held her as we dropped into the alleyway. Landing from the 2-meter drop Nat looked up to see the roof of our house. “What is that?”
She asked in disbelief. I winked my right eye at her. “Magic.”
*Whizz* The portal closed as she looked around in shock. “Where are we?” She asked as she didn’t recognise the place at all.
I opened up the map hologram on my watch to show her. “New Jersey.”
An understanding passed through her eyes as she asked to confirm with me. “So, is that how you travelled from space?”
I nodded with a grin causing her to sigh in relief. “Yep!”
She looked at me impressed. “Well, I am impressed from the start of the date itself. Hope you can keep it same throughout the date.”
I suddenly realised a problem as she said that. “Nat?”
She looked at me. “Have you been to New Jersey before?”
I asked her to which she shook her head. She asked back as we looked around at the surroundings. “Have you?”
“Nope.”
I said as I took her arm and led her out of the alley to the busy streets. Seeing the massive and busy streets we both smiled before laughing causing the passer-by’s to look at us oddly.
I smiled as I looked at her. “We can walk as much as we want today.”
She leaned on my arms with a smile. “Yeah.”
We spend the rest of the day exploring New Jersey. After a while, we went to the cinemas. The movie was very boring, so we just spend talking. “So, you are saying if I throw a coin in the air…”
*Ahem* We both turned to our side to see the staff of the theatre interrupting Natasha’s question. “I have warned both of you twice not to talk. You are a nuisance to everyone here. Please leave!”
She pointed out. We looked around to see several people looking at us in annoyance. Natasha giggled as my face turned red. We quickly walked out having being kicked out of the cinemas just like in the old times. “Hahaha! Your face is so red!”
Natasha placed her hands on my face. “That was so embarrassing. I forgot the number of times we got kicked out of cinemas for talking.”
Natasha chuckled as she held my arm. “What now?”
I looked at the time to see it was 3 pm. “Lunch?”
She smiled as she nodded. “Yeah.”
Just like in our old times we walked towards a dessert shop before ordering several sundaes.
As we walked out completely stuffed from sweets Natasha looked sick. "I don't think I will ever touch sweet food or drink again,"
Nat made the same vow whenever we came out of the dessert shop. I laughed as I pointed it out to her. “You say that always but keep loving to come back here for all our date.”
She gave me an accusing glare. “I don’t really have a choice. Everything else tastes horrible except desserts.”
I smiled hearing that. “I should really try making some sundae’s and ice creams one of these days.”
Natasha looked at me in slight annoyance. “Do you really want me to not find joy in any sort of food?”
I chuckled hearing that. “Even if I am ready to be your personal chef forever?”
She grinned hearing that. “No, take backs now.”
She hugged my arm as we kept walking.
We kept walking lost in time until it darkened. I asked Nat as we finally stopped our walk after a long time. “Do you want to go home?”
Nat didn’t move her head from my arm as she replied. “You decide.”
I just led her to the best 5-star hotel where we decided to crash for the day.
The moment we got onto the bed after changing, Nat fell asleep tiredly. I smiled seeing this as I too joined her in sleep.

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
