《The Immortal Mutant Teen》Chapter 87 - Self Study

Due to the upcoming festival, classes were under self-study as teachers and some students were busy with preparations. Martial Teachers were in charge of security while the rest helped organize booths and make sure the people that were hired by the students to do all the setup and construction were doing a good job.
Inside the classroom, students talked to each other about which chef they invited or what performance they were looking forward to seeing. The topic soon moved to costumes or cosplay they were coming to school in. Sakura and Akeno seemed most excited about it, it seems they had chosen their costumes long ago.
"Did you already try your costume on?" asked Sakura asked Akeno,
"I did, I borrowed one of the shrines maidens' outfits from one of my family's shrine, but the chest seems a little tight…" Akeno said as she pressed down on her mountains of a chest.
Sakura looked down and felt a little jealous, while Akeno was an E-cup, borderline F-cup, she on the other hand was just barely a B-cup.
"Lucky…" Sakura whispered,
"Hm?" Akeno tilted her head wondering why all of a sudden Sakura seemed so down.
"Anyways," Sakura said, " I think my Spider Gwen costume will be great!"
Akeno nodded.
"Hey, Acheron?" Asked Akeno as she turned to look at him.
"Yes?" Acheron responded,
Acheron was currently looking down at fiddling with something in his hand.
"What are you working on? This is the first time I've seen you do anything in the class other than looking out the window" Akeno said,
"Akeno is right, you've been working on that all morning," Sakura said,
"Oh, this? Just a little device I will be using in my performance Thursday" Acheron said,
"Oh? that sounds cool, what is it?" Akeno asked as she got up and moved closer,

"It's a portable miniature tesla coil amplifier, it amplifies the current of electricity that flows through it by 100 times…. Now, I just need the right power source.." Acheron said as he tapped away on the screen of his watch.
*Ting*
Acheron's watch chimed, Acheron reached and opened the window.
Suddenly, I small box flies through the window and over Acheron's head. Acheron calmly catches it as it flies over and closes the window.
Stunned, Akeno and Sakura rush to the window to see who it was, only to find no one down below.
"What the hell was that?!" Sakura exclaimed,
"What? Never seen a package be delivered before?... you girls really need to get out of the house more…" Acheron said,
"wha-… never mind!" Sakura moves back to her seat feeling defeated for some reason.
"So? Does it work?" Akeno asks as she leans over and presses her bountiful chest on Acheron's shoulder.
"Little girl, I'm feeling the weight of two impressive mountains on my shoulder. I can't work in these conditions; I'm trying to invent something here." Acheron said unfazed,
Akeno turned red like a tomato and quickly got off of Acheron. Watching this scene, other male students couldn't help but curse Acheron in their minds.
'Lucky Bastard! Why couldn't it be me?!'
Acheron tinkered for a little bit before setting it down and running a diagnostic check. He chuckled at the memory of when he first invented this power source.
….
Acheron and two of his children were working down in a lab in an undisclosed location.
Acheron had made countless calculations, he hasn't even eaten or taking a break in 2 months. Though his children were worried they knew it wasn't something that affected their father.
They watched as he experimented on god knows what, whispering to himself about things that were way about their knowledge, they were only there as support.

"Haha, I fucking did it!" Acheron exclaimed as he laughed maniacally.
Acheron turned around; in his hand, he held a glass cube that glowed yellow.
"I made a new fucking element! I'm a fucking god!! Do you think those dumbasses up there could have done it? Do you think their god could have done it?! The answer is no! if there is a fucking God, it's fucking ME! hahaha!"
Acheron's daughter quickly walked to her dad.
*SLAP*
"Get yourself together, Dad!" his daughter said after slapping him across the face.
"You are sounding like a mad scientist again…"
….
Present.
Acheron rubbed his cheek while smiling as he remembered his children.
"What's wrong?" asked Akeno,
"It's nothing, anyways let's see if it works.." Acheron said as he plugged in his phone to the device.
After a couple of seconds, a yellow light flashed through the device before humming to life.
"Does it work?" Asked Sakura as she neared her finger towards the miniature head of the tesla coil.
Acheron reached and stopped her.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, this baby has enough juice flowing through it to send you into cardiac arrest"
Sakura sucked in her breath sharply and quickly pulled her arm back to her chest.
"Why would you need such a thing?!" Sakura asked,
Acheron just smiled mysteriously and said,
"That's Spoilers..."
Acheron turned the device off before sending a message through his watch. He then reached for the window and opened it.
Realizing what was going to happen, they quickly focused all their attention on the window. Acheron waited a couple of seconds before throwing the device out the window.
*Swoosh*
Something passes by the window and caught the device in the air before leaving.
The girls couldn't believe it. It was an owl.
A white owl swooped in and took the package away. No wonder they didn't see anything when they first looked. They were looking the wrong way; they should've looked up and not down.
"Was that an owl?" asked Sakura,
"Yup" answered Acheron,
"…"
The girls didn't know what to say. There's always something weird when it comes to Acheron.
The bell rang and school was out. The students rushed outside, not because they wanted to go home but because they wanted to get a good spot to peek at Acheron's love confession.

Greg Veder vs The World
The average person can easily understand that when it comes to living in a villain-infested, crime-filled city like Brockton Bay, treating life like a game can get you killed. It's kind of ironic, then, that Greg Veder has always been far more serious about games than he ever has about life. (Worm/The Gamer AU)
