When the rogue heard the laughter tears welled up in his eyes, he had known about the cruelty of dungeons before and only held onto the slightest sliver of hope, the sounds of ants climbing the tree he was on roared in his ears, unwilling to die he forcefully activated his innate ability.
Blood splattered on the tree as he coughed up blood from using his ability again so soon, muscles tore as he leaped from the canopy from one tree to another several times faster than before, he could feel his teeth crack from clenching his jaw because of the pain as he was tearing his body to pieces.
Lucifer watched on with glee at the man's desperate attempt to survive, he followed the rogue and was soon surprised by his direction, he was heading straight for the "door", he chuckled to himself then issued a command then followed to watch the show.
The rogue slid through the portal and jumped the moment he passed the blade over the several meters put filled with spikes, there were almost no traps left to trigger by now so the rogue managed to leap across the next gap to the end of the hall without so much as a glance at the now almost bare bones impaled on spikes.
He now ran straight into the ant's network of tunnels that made up their nest, Lucifer watched the mans speed gradually slow down as he became lost in the maze of tunnels, sweat fell down his face in beads, blood dripped from his mouth at a constant rate and his eyes now possessed more red than white.
The rogue eyes perked up when he heard the familiar sound he wishes he could forget, Lucifer had sent the ants down a tunnel he quickly made to beat the rogue to the core, Lucifer was surprised at how far the man had made it even though the traps were nonfunctioning.

On unsteady legs exhaustion finally overcame his willpower to live so the rogue fell to his knees, the light left his eyes as he waited for deaths cold embrace, however, once he was surrounded the ants only stood there.
Lucifer said "you forgot to wait for my answer, allow me" then sent tendrils of mana to wrap around the rogue's soul, disbelief painted the rogue's features as he mumbled "I'm going to live?" almost incoherently.
Lucifer replied "only for as long as you are useful to me", the rogues features visibly relaxed as he fell onto his back while allowing the tendrils to do their work with no resistance, once the spell was done he fell unconscious. Lucifer sighed, he knew his anger was merely redirected at this person from his own self-hatred for his own stupidity and arrogance.
He studied the rogues body and found several problematic areas, namely his lungs that were filling with his own blood, so he sent a small amount of life energy into the mans body, only enough to keep him alive and stop the bleeding but enough for now, Lucifer had other more important matters to attend to than nursing an enemy.
The ants quickly returned to their nest and set about their work digging new floors, while Lucifer inspected the damage done to his dungeon, the waterway was still blocked likely creating an overflow up stream, he immediately fixed this by lifting the metal block into the roof cavity and re-supported it, then he fixed all the cracks in the tunnel that could be used as possible hand holds by warriors climbing up the waterway.
With the problematic damage fixed he flew back to the hallway of traps just past the "door", he sighed at the sight of the mess and began re-arming and resetting all the traps, this took only a couple minutes when using magic with his superior cognitive ability, now with all the traps reset he inspected the rest of the dungeon, there was significant damage to the dungeons wildlife, namely the kind that tend to maul intruders.

The Panther population had been almost decimated from the attack, therefore, he spent some time mana and life energy raising the population by summoning more, after he summoned them he began to wonder how normal dungeons ever have any time for fun or the mana to spare when they are summoning all their monsters, he thought "even so I should repay the good work the Panthers did in the attack, I'll somehow get them a pond with fish when I can, oh and whatever boars like I can give to the armored boar, Ajax I think his name was???"
After thinking about the armored boar Lucifer was reminded of the situation with Lucky, he frowned then looked into his Earthmails and located the information on reviving boss monsters that he only had used on the boar so far, a spell weaved through the air in the shape of strange winds made up of uncountable strange runes that coiled in onto itself, the mana gave a final flash of light than in place of it was a tiny woman with butterfly wings coming out of her back, she stood there looking confused, Lucifer asked "do you remember where you are or who you are?"
The fairy looked up in wonder and asked "who are you" cutely, Lucifer could feel a pinprick of pain in his heart for a moment, he turned to leave when he hears behind him "got you, Lucy, hehe", he looked back only to see the back of her wings escaping along with the sound of childish laughter, He smiled a heartfelt smile that he thought was impossible for him now and swore to get the little bugger back one day, then left in a good mood.
