《Re:Direction The Peak (Cultivation Tale)》CH. 93

The next morning, the trio left the woods towards their next destination. Jin and Min-Su wondered what kind of sect it would be this time. They had seen many throughout the years and they all had their own wonders. You might think one would become numb to it but not at all. It remained exciting every time as it was always different. There were always new and unique things.
This time however was different. As they came closer to the destination, it didn't seem like a sect at all. Every sect was different so it might be difficult to distinguish a sect from something else you knew of it. Purely visually speaking. But there was one very easy way to distinguish if a place was or wasn't a sect: people.
If you found a place with people clustered together and wearing the same kind of outfits, then congratulations, you found a sect. On the other hand, if you found a place where not two people wore the same outfits, it was likely not one. And right now, it wasn't one.
As they moved closer, they could see a city surrounded by walls. From the city, you could see two towers reaching the clouds and interlocking at the top, ending in giant dragons forming an arc. But the people entering and exiting? They wore all kinds of outfits. From rags to sparkling armors, you could find everything.
They judged that this was a city.
And they hadn't been into one in the past few years. So, they were excited, especially Min-Su. But they were also curious and perplexed. Why would Hae-Hyuk go to a city? He never did! So, Jin asked: "Why are we going into a city?" and Hae-Hyuk answered him: "Because a friend of mine sent me a letter so I am going to meet with her. And she's over there"

Jin looked towards where the fingers of his Master were pointing to. It was the top of the towers. The giant dragons. Indeed, a technique master's friends weren't low class. To think a friend would be in such a place... But the biggest reaction came from Min-Su. And that was because he recognized the place.
"Master! Is this the rumored Ninth Heaven City?!"
Hae-Hyuk turned to him with surprise clear on his face: "Oh? How did you know? We've never been here before"
"Ah! The towers are famous! Dragons dancing atop the clouds, that's the trademark of the Ninth Heaven and Thirty-Two Hell Towers!"
"That's true. But how come you know of it?"
"Oh? Uh...*cough*...I made a friend whose sub-occupation was architecture"
"Architecture, eh? Riiii~iiiight. That aside, Min-Su, since you know, you better behave. If I hear that you did something, prepare yourself"
Jin had been kept out of the loop but he couldn't help it. He didn't know anything about this place. It was quite unexpected that this guy, Min-Su, knew of it. He wasn't the kind of guy that had an interest in geography or culture... Even though he kept referring to himself as a man of culture, he certainly wasn't. At least if you considered what culture meant to Jin.
Regardless, Hae-Hyuk led them straight for the towers. The inside of the city wasn't much different from any other random cities. Though there were a lot more warriors... There was something else that seemed out of place but Jin couldn't quite pinpoint it. On the other hand, Min-Su was very aware of it and had a hard time keeping his excitement in check.
This was one of the nine greatest places in the continent to be at according to a survey passed down between a certain circle Min-Su belonged to. As a pen pal to many brothers, he was well-aware of what this place was all about. He was looking left and right then right and left. There was so much to see yet only two eyes to do so. If he could, he would have taken Jin's eyes for himself so he could have four!

Anyways, they reached the entrance of the tower soon enough and were stopped by two handsome young-looking men. They were both cultivators and likely not as young as they seemed. Hae-Hyuk stated the reason he came here and after they went in to check, they led the way for the trio. They did ask for Jin and Min-Su to remain in the hall and only allowed Hae-Hyuk to move up though.
After he left, Jin couldn't help but ask Min-Su: "What's wrong with you? You've been acting weird since we arrived" and Min-Su snickered before answering: "You don't know what's good for you. If you did, you would be acting like I am!"
Jin got used to Min-Su acting like that but it remained a pain in the ass. Couldn't the kid just spit it out? No. Jin was forced to talk more: "Fine. Why don't you enlighten me?" Min-Su rolled his eyes before opening his arm wide and telling Jin: "Why don't you just look around, doofus?"
Jin looked at the hall. It was lavish and screamed wealth. A high-class hall. The workers were all men in lavish robes of different yet elegant styles. The customers were solely women, of all kinds, and judging by their looks, they were trying their best to appear beautiful. But then so what? Oh, wait. Could it be... ?
He looked at Min-Su who confirmed his guess with his grin. He didn't need to hear it but Min-Su still spoke: "This is where the women come to relax and spend some qualitative holidays. Get the point?"
Yeah, he did. Now that he actually looked... It seemed to be that way. It turned out that this city was focusing on entertainment. But then, what brought Hae-Hyuk here? It couldn't be for a holiday. His Teacher wasn't that kind of man. Throughout the years, according to Jin, there was only a single reason that ever motivated Hae-Hyuk to move: business.
So, what kind of business brought him to this kind of place?

Please vote on Web Fiction Guide (online novels, reviews) Novels Online Cover created by: Catastrophic_Finale http://royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=72311 Hello everyone, this is going to be my first book and I’m very excited to write it. I had many ideas I want to write about for a long time but never wrote the out. I started reading JPN LN then got into all the Chinese LN so was influence by both types. I already read a few ln about being a dungeon/dungeon master and really enjoy and one day suddenly had an idea. What if a cultivator was to become a dungeon? A lot of these dungeon ln all have someone with modern world experience become the dungeon so they all have this advantage of games but what if someone who is straight out of a xianxia novel instead? Someone who has no idea how a more medieval fantasy world works and have no idea what a dungeon even is. This give me a lot of fun things to write about and finally decide to try writing it share it with you all! I hope you all enjoy it and please leave comments/review telling me how I can improve.
