《Re:Direction The Peak (Cultivation Tale)》CH. 404

In a shitty bar underwater, ‘Horsehead’ Gaelic was trying to get drunk.
After finally being freed from his duty and sentence of guarding the Clown from the Evil faction, he went to find the Oceanic’s Queen. She had been the only thing in his mind throughout the years.
Her many tentacles…
Her gigantic head…
Her pulpous lips...
But as he finally met her again, she angrily rebuked him instead of showering him with love. He got slapped both physically and mentally.
She told him not to ever look for her again and that what happened between them had been a mistake from her youth.
Sadness mixed with anger and pain and he ended up fleeing.
His uncertain steps took him to this shitty bar where he kept ordering more Frone yet remained unable to get himself drunk due to his incredibly high cultivation of the 71th stage.
If not for the queen being over the 70th stage too and the King not far, he would have kidnapped her.
He did love her for so many decades…
She did not.
The blow was huge.
He drank another bottle.
And he asked for another.
It was not a waiter that brought him a bottle and it was not a bottle of Frone either.
It was a man. He was 1m60 with long orange hair with streaks of black and white randomly hidden within. His eyes were hidden behind golden sunglasses. He wore a dark Daoist robe while a golden chain hung around his neck.
Clown.
He coldly asked: “What are you doing here, Clown?”
Clown laughed as he shook the bottle in his hand: “Why not come drink with me for a bit? I have better stuff and it’s on me”
He snickered but still got up to follow Clown.
They swam to a reef a few dozen kilometers away and faced each other.

Gaelic got into a stance: “If you plan to finish me off, I won’t make it easy, Clown”
Clown laughed as he threw a bottle at Gaelic. Gaelic caught it. Frone extra spiritual. The strongest type of drink. A very expensive one too. It was the only one who could get Saints drunk.
“Where did you even find this?” asked Gaelic.
Clown laughed: “I went to Frone’s place to say hi”
Gaelic shook his head sideways as he chuckled. Not many people would dare- No, nearly no one would dare to go to Frone’s place and take his bottles.
Gaelic uncorked it and sipped some of it.
Satisfying.
He watched as Clown took out another and drank a few mouthfuls. How extravagant. Gaelic asked: “So, what do you want?”
Clown laughed: “What about you?”
“Me?” asked Gaelic back.
He pondered for a moment on the question. He had no answer to it. He shrugged and drank some more.
Clown asked: “How about joining us?”
Gaelic chuckled. What a funny joke this was. Joining the Evil faction? How funny.
Clown took a sip and added seriously: “The King wants you dead. The Queen no longer loves you. You wasted decades looking after my jail…What is there left here for you?”
Gaelic no longer laughed. He was frowning deeply. What Clown said was the harsh truth. He sighed. The Oceanics remained his people though.
He chuckled as he found himself actually considering the invitation.
Clown noticed it too: “You did consider it, eh. Since you’re this far gone, you might as well take the plunge”
Gaelic took a sip: “It is a way of no return once taken. I am not ready for such a thing. The Oceanics are my people. That is something that won’t change”

Clown laughed: “I ain’t asking you to slaughter your people, pal. How about we try to dethrone the King and replace him with you instead? You get to protect your people and to fuck that queen whenever”
Gaelic snickered. This was treason! Then again, Clown was from the Evil faction. And then again, he had fucked the Queen behind the King’s back long ago and they hated each other.
The feasibility of it though?
He pondered for a few minutes before he shook his head: “Forget it, forget it, I’m not interested”
Clown nodded. He then asked: “What are your plans next then?”
“I don’t know” admitted Gaelic.
Clown then smirked: “Why not come to Low Point with me then?”
Gaelic’s eyebrow raised: “Low Point? Why?”
Clown spread his arms wide: “The Evil faction is meeting again!”
The excitement in him could be felt. However, the reason for it was something to show concern about. The fact that the Evil faction was resurfacing after so long.
Gaelic asked: “I thought you were satisfied with keeping the status quo? What happened?”
Clown excitedly spilled the beans: “Brother Nightmare got a new disciple!”
Gaelic chocked on his drink. He looked at Clown incredulously.
He could not help but ask: “Are you saying that someone else managed to cultivate the Fear element?!”
Clown nodded with pride.
Gaelic laughed.
Certainly, this changed a lot of things. The world would be shaken once more. it would be a new era.
Gaelic turned to Clown with a smile: “Low Point, was it? Do you mind if I tag along?”
Clown smirked as he tapped Gaelic’s shoulder: “Good bro, of course I don’t! I came here to invite you in the first place!”
They laughed, drank and enjoyed some trash talk on the current Oceanics’ monarchy.
Then, they got ready and departed towards Low Point for the Evil Faction’s meeting.
Meanwhile, Nightmare was also on the way there. Unable to get what he wanted from Vrislorin, he was in a bad mood. He lost a lot of soulless out of this endeavor and he did not even manage to take away his disciple…
Then again, he did see him and his prowess from the front row and was satisfied with the growth.
This limited his anger.
The fact that he would finally meet all his disciples and comrades after so long was what brought a smile to his otherwise angry face.
The meeting at Low Point would be a blast.

Displacement
or, Deux Navires Passant dans la Nuit If you wake up in a new world, with only your memories of home to guide you, you have to trust the first people you meet. The first people Leah meets seem to know her - but not her. Leah is thrust into a fighter's role that does not quite suit her, and those who 'rescued' her do their best to help her fit in. They hint at a world that Leah can only vaguely understand without serious research and exploration, but how to do that research, when everyone believes her to be a local of this place, and too many questions might draw unwanted attention? And what about home? The more Leah learns about this world, the less she believes that she woke up on the right side of the bed - or more accurately, on the right side of the conflict. With magic being strictly regulated in her current "home," maybe it's time to uproot and look for a new set of allies... -- Displacement is a queer / lgbt bodyswap isekai: Leah Armande falls out of a Quebecois city into an unfamiliar fantasy world, and Leah Talesh falls out of her adventuring party's homeland and into an unfamiliar industrial world. The story follows both women as they navigate their new surroundings, trying at times to find a way home, at times just to pass for a local, and at times to actually make a life for themselves in their new world. Expect in-depth politics and worldbuilding, sapphic moments, foibles, and far too much time spent either in libraries or convalescing (or sometimes both).
