《The One Luna》The State of Cebu and Bohol Island

As soon as Luna got to the eastern walls, he was met by a small group of four, haggard looking individuals whose eyes widened as they saw him. When they first got here, they were shocked at how imposing the guards were and the beauty of the Elven people. To them, it felt like they went from a land of nightmares, to a fantasy land. Something like this was to be expected, after all, along with their natural beauty, their aura normally exuded a calming effect similar to when you're on top of a mountain and overlooking a great, awesome view.
"What's going on here? What happened to you guys?"
"You must be Lord Luna. It is an honor to meet you, sir." The one in front was a middle-aged man with a stocky build.
"Get these people something to eat and drink. You four may sit. Tell me why you've come here."
The four looked incredibly grateful at the mention of food and drink. The leader introduced himself and the rest of his crew. "My name is Ricardo, this is my girlfriend Astrid, my brother Alfred, and his wife Jean. We're one of the lucky ones that escaped Bohol before... before everything went to hell, more than it already was."
"You mentioned something about the Tarsiers?"
Right around this time, their food and water had arrived. They all took a sip from the Life Tree's water and were speechless for a moment.
"You may eat first if you'd like." Luna offered them.
Looking towards his three companions, Ricardo urged them to eat first. "You three, go on ahead. Lord Luna, thank you, I won't waste your time so I'll tell you everything first. We came from one of the more fortified bases in Bohol. We actually heard about your accomplishments and had wanted to come here, but when the EHZs and ETZs emerged, we felt that we were too low leveled, so we wanted to get stronger first."
"That makes sense."
"Yes. As caretakers of the Tarsiers prior to the new world, they had somehow recognized us still, and as long as we didn't provoke them, they were just comfortable fortifying their base against the zombies in the Bilar Man-Made Forest.* Ferdinand, the leader of the from Cebu, who was beat back by the leader from Mactan island. A man by the name of Cilapu. Ferdinand was getting beat back until his friend, Miguel Legazpi, a politician came to his aid. They set up their base in Bohol, since they were afraid of defending themselves from Cilapu and a possible attack from you."

"Before you continue, I'm curious. You got here in a span of a day, basically. You're level 30, your companions are at level 25. There's no way you could have gotten here this quick." Luna inquired. There was no way these four could have gotten here without a scratch. Much more all of them surviving.
Astrid who was just finishing up her meal, answered Luna's question. "About that, Lord Luna, we met a Sword-wielding, stoic-faced Goddess! She helped clear the way here for us and said she would be finishing something up before she handed us over to Lord Boni's care."
"A sword-wielding, stoic-faced Goddess?" Luna could only think of one person in his mind that fit that description.
"Ah! That's her! Goddess, you're back!" Astrid suddenly stood up and bowed down to the person behind Luna who had just arrived.
"Sura?"
True enough, the only person who was fitting enough to be called a "Sword Goddess" was indeed Sura.
"I was out hunting zombies and looking for more survivors when I found these four."
"We were being chased by a pack of EHZs when the Sword Goddess saved us. The whole dozen of them chasing after us were beheaded before we could even look back to see why they weren't making any noises anymore!" Astrid enthusiastically told the story.
"You can just call me Sura." When she saw Luna winking at her and giving her a thumbs up, she blushed while looking down as she held onto Luna's sleeve. When she saw Luna winking at her and giving her a thumbs up. It was a sight even more beautiful than a million Elves.
"Yes, Lady Sura!" The four took a bow before Ricardo continued his story. "Continuing our story, They basically wanted to take over Bohol, so Miguel merged his with Ferdinand's. They took notice to the fast growth of the Tarsiers and despite them minding their own business and even helping out humans who were surrounded by zombies, Ferdinand attacked them by surprise."
Sura couldn't help but see the huge flaw in Ferdinand's actions. "So he went to Bohol to prevent a possible pincer attack, only to piss off the Tarsiers? This man is not very smart."
"Indeed, Lady Sura. All he is, is a man of greed disguised as a public servant. Much like most politicians in the Philippines." The woman called Jean expressed her agreement.

"What's their current situation? How many men do they have?"
"They're currently at a standstill. The Tarsiers, for some reason they evolved much faster than the most mutant beasts. Despite the one million and five hundred thousand population of Bohol only being down to one hundred thousand, at least with what was present in Ferdinand's city, it still wasn't something the Tarsiers could overwhelm, with them being only over a thousand in population."
This made sense. Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental which made up the Negros Island, who had quadruple Bohol's population only had a total of around one million left after the took over the whole island, rescued the survivors and absorbed the other nations. Save from the ones who didn't want to give up their power and the ones who were found to have raped and murdered people, everybody else got to live a much comfortable life compared to before.
Especially when they found out they would be provided with free electricity, water, and housing. The funds used for the housing and electricity were taken from the absorbed nations, of course.
"Alright. You have my gratitude. If you wish to join us, you'll be briefed regarding our rules and what we require of you."
"Lord Luna, are you planning on going to Bohol?" Ricardo asked.
"Yes. The Tarsiers are apparently not evil. The fact that they helped out humans before is proof of that. That's right, how did you manage to communicate with them?"
"About that. You might find it hard to believe, Lord Luna, but.... They were actually capable of speech."
"Speech? You didn't think to tell me this before?"
"Ah, no! I was going to, it's just that I wanted to tell you that I wished to go with you first. They were capable of some words, just enough to express what they want. We wanted to go with you so we could maybe help. They're familiar with us, you see."
"Alright. We'll leave by tomorrow." Looking towards some of the soldiers, Luna ordered them. "See to it that they receive accommodations."
"Yes, Lord Luna!" After receiving his order, the man beckoned the group of four. "Come with me, please. We'll have to process you first before you can receive your invitation to the , if you agree to our rules, then you'll be a part of us."
"With pleasure, sir!" The four unanimously agreed.
"Ah, don't call me sir, I'm just a Private."
After they all left, Boni was curious about Luna's intentions. "Bro, you're thinking of taking the Tarsiers in?"
"Yes. If it's possible, of course."
"What if it isn't?" Sura inquired.
"Then I'll have to work some sort of deal out with them. They are not evil, after all. I cannot just murder them when they were the ones who were slighted by humans to begin with."
Sura gave out a dazzling smile. "That's my hus--- erm... I'm proud of you."
"Ah.. that's probably my cue to leave." Boni snuck out as fast as he could.
"You know, even though we're not officially married, we're still soul bound. If everything goes well, we should take a day off."
"Pft! If that's you asking me out on a date, then yes, I would love to go sightseeing on some muscular Tarsiers. Mr. Accidental Proposal Man."
"Ah... That's not fair, the second one wasn't an accident at all!"
"Sure, sure. You should be more direct next time. If you want to spend time with me, then you only need to ask." Sura had an intriguing look on her face. This was definitely not the stoic expression that people were used to. Only with the people closest to her could she be this carefree.
"Haha.. Alright. You'll need to bear with me. My first official relationship went straight to two proposals after all."
Maxene who was back at the Life Tree area felt the mushiness of her parents, playfully pretended to vomit in disgust as she went into Angry Bakunawa's pocket dimension to design her new hangout place. The poor beast of legends could only open his mouth as Maxene tossed furniture in it.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.

The Plan
An infinite world couldn’t be real, but if it was, well this would happen. Imagine a world that isn’t covered in water, but an endless atmosphere. Plates of land, named “islands”, float and drift almost aimlessly. There is no sun, stars, roof, or floor; just boundless air in every direction. Light is generated from the movement of air flow. Magical and mystical powers keep islands floating and the world full of fresh entropy. Some of these floating islands drift upwards or downwards or any combination of volatile or patterned velocities. Air flow also follows the same characteristics of islands, which generates the light and heat. In a world with no horizon, the different inhabitants struggle. Beings calling them selves deities across the endless space are countless. If you were to fall off an island, you would inevitably hit another island; if you didn’t die from old age first. Many inhabitants don’t know the land further than their own eye sight or town they grew up in. Almost all inhabitants of islands have supernatural abilities, ranging in ability and skill. Magical abilities are kept individually; and mystical powers are borrowed. Islands float because the land is enchanted by either a magical or mystical crystal. Magical islands are known for vertical variance, while mystical islands are known for vertical stability. The islands rotate around focal points, known as 'the center'. There are many 'the center', but no one knows this yet... Warning: Tagged Mature 18+ for Strong Language, Gore, Violence, and sexual scenes. Google Drive (Click here to open new window) WIP/spoilers
