《Young Master Has a Daughter》Chapter 149 - The Apple Doesn't Fall Far From the Tree

“Yun Zhan, you are as bold as ever,” a huge guy came to meet him and said.
Yun Ling looked at the newcomer from behind.
With just a single look, he knew that the newcomer was quite strong. Even though he was just standing and not doing anything, he could feel some oppressive aura that he was unconsciously emanating as a Sacred King.
It was a unique trait shared by all Sacred Kings. They would unconsciously emit that oppressive aura to their surroundings, showing the aura of a king.
Truth be told, it had been a while since Yun Ling felt that oppressive aura from someone. His father, grandfather, uncle, and several other people in their clan might be Sacred Kings but he was already used to their aura since he was young. He really didn’t feel anything from them anymore.
Not even a tiny bit.
Moreover, ordinary Sacred Kings could also not give him that oppressing feeling anymore after he had stepped foot into the Four Transformation Realm. Now that he was at the Late Stage of the Mortal Lord Realm and just a few steps away from the Fate Dominion Realm, his resistance towards their auras had grown even stronger. The fact that he was feeling a little oppression from that guy meant that he was far stronger than the average Sacred King. He wasn’t someone to take lightly.
“Song Tianxing, you’re still alive you bastard,” Yun Zhan said with a cocky smile on his face as he greeted the newcomer.
The one named Song Tianxing snorted at him before he laid his eyes on Yun Cang.
“You’re here as well, Yun Cang.”
“Of course, I am. If a loser like you can become a Sacred King, then how much more, me?” Yun Cang said proudly as he looked down on him.

Song Tianxing gritted his teeth while the veins in his temple bulged. He glared at both Yun Zhan and Yun Cang with a hateful expression on his face.
“Good, good, good. It’s good to see you two are the same as ever. It will make crushing you more satisfying for me.”
Yun Zhan gave him a look of disdain.
“You couldn’t beat any of us in the past when you were a realm ahead of us. Now that we are at the same realm, you have even less chance of beating us in a fair fight,” Yun Zhan said, not really bothered with his threat.
The Song Clan and the Yun Clan were political enemies, so he had no reservation acting that way towards Song Tianxing. In fact, he was hoping that Song Tianxing would get riled up and attack them first so he would have some justification to teach him a lesson.
While Song Tianxing was talking to Yun Zhan and Yun Cang, an old, hearty laugh reached Yun Wei’s ears.
“Hohoho, the youngsters sure are having fun, wouldn’t you say so, Yun Wei?”
Yun Wei looked at the side and saw a huge old man walking towards him.
“Old fart Song Xingxing,” Yun Wei said as he held his head high. “While my brats could still be considered youngsters, your brat certainly could no longer be considered as one. What is he? He is ninety-three years old for fuck’s sake if I’m not mistaken. He’s almost my age. Isn’t it quite shameless to still think of him as a youngster?”
Both Yun Zhan and Yun Cang were less than sixty years old. They might be Sacred Kings but as Sacred Kings, they were quite young. Most of the Sacred Kings in the empire were around eighty to hundreds of years old. The fact that these two reached that realm in less than sixty years showed just how talented they were.

Song Xinxing’s brows twitched as he gave Yun Wei a displeased look.
“You better watch your words or else…”
Yun Wei snorted at him.
“Or else what? Don’t lecture me just because you are a hundred years older than me, Song Xingxing. You might be twice as old as me but I’m still stronger than you.”
“Hooh? Stronger than me you say? How arrogant of you to say that.”
“Do you want some proof?” Yun Wei said as he clenched and raised his fist.
Yun Ling just stared at them with a dull look on his face as he continued ahead, leaving the eight Sacred Kings of their clan behind who were waiting for Yun Zhan, Yun Cang, and Yun Wei.
“Heh, the apple sure doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
Yun Ling heard a familiar voice as he turned towards the source.
It was Yu Shan.
Yu Shan threw something at him which he caught effortlessly. He looked at his hand to see what it was that Yu Shan threw at him.
Yun Ling was unimpressed at what he saw as he looked at Yu Shan dryly.
“Really?”
“Really…”
Yun Ling no longer said anything as he took a bite of the apple that Yu Shan threw at him.
“So, where is Yun Yi?” Yu Shan asked as he joined Yun Ling in his walk.
He was feeling out of place in the Rose Garden since everyone there was mostly Sacred Kings. In the Rose Garden, only the top ten of the Golden Dragon Election was probably not at the Sacred King Realm that was why he followed Yun Ling.
“He’s probably still resting. The injuries he suffered had not yet healed after all,” Yun Ling responded, not minding that Yu Shan followed him.
“Did you just say that my injuries hadn’t healed yet?”
Yun Ling heard another familiar voice… a very familiar voice that made his brows twitch.
“Young Master, I’m a bit sad that you didn’t know that I’ve already recovered,” Yun Yi said with a pleasant smile on his face.
Yun Ling looked at him.
Didn’t the emperor’s physicians say that it would take him at least a month before he could recover? It hadn’t even been a month yet, but Yun Yi already looked fine. He didn’t even have any wound or scar anymore. He was as good as he had been just before the Golden Dragon Election started.
“You guys forgot about me so I had to hitch a ride with Ash Wood here,” Yun Yi said as he pointed at the nature spirit whom he had cooperated with during the Golden Dragon Election.
Ash Wood went forward and shook both Yun Ling and Yu Shan’s hands. He was in third place in the competition so it made sense why he was there.

Era: Dawn of the New Gods
Concise Synopsis: This is a post-apocalyptic story about the origins of various powerful figures that appeared after the apocalypse event. During the apocalypse monsters appeared possessing powers and constitution beyond the limits of human understanding. They ravaged the world and brought down all governments. The first part of the story follows Jade, a terrorist that was ravaging the world before the monsters arrived. Dramatic Synopsis: The New Gods, the most feared and revered beings on the planet. They are forces capable of absolute destruction and creation. The Council of Branches Hayley, the Living Lie (if that is her real name) Chao Feng, the Prince of Stars Lara, the Mother of Heroes The Great City of Tver Gog, the Ever Losing War The Unkillable Freak Dave, the Flow Demon Avatari, (only the name is known) Satoshi, the Gentle Hurricane As Impactful as they are no one knew their origin, they are called the New Gods so there must be Old Gods. I and my collegues dedicated our lives to finding their origins only to find out that the beings we fear and adore were once like us, average, mortal and weak... at least most of them were. *It is a sort of reverse RPG as no one knows anything either skills, abilities or how the system works but they find out on their own or develop their own skills or abilites. *The story has many protagonists and point of views but it paints a beatiful story of survival in a world of endless perils for both the humans and the monsters(some monsters are protagonists). *There is a system but it is very limited (not overpowered) and treats everyone equally, monster or human. The system is very different from regular systems; no exp, levels and system items. *The story is a world building story where overall, the world is the true main character. The cover image photo is credited to Angel David *For now it's one chapter a day

What happens when those given power of unimaginable proportions fulfill their objective and become without aim? Some may continue to use it wisely, but, more often than not, it is abused. They engage in an endless power struggle for the only ones that can oppose them is each other. Here in this world of might and magic, a reincarnated man makes a small mistake, he accidentally skipped the skill and stats screen in the process of reincarnating. His stats are nothing but ones and has no innate skills or talents. He sits yearning for a life undetermined by others. If you have reached this point and are willing to put up with my garbage along with my inconstant uploading, then welcome and I hope that you find some enjoyment out of this, even if aimed at myself.

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
