《Young Master Has a Daughter》Chapter 208 - The Little Girl's Fate

"Bunch of fools," Yun Ling apathetically spat out.
He then looked over the monks who were observing the spectacle. Throughout the whole time, none of these monks helped the five or dissuaded him from attacking them at all. Not that he would listen to them but the fact they only looked on while one of their own was being attacked like that...
It made Yun Ling look down on them. Perhaps, even more so than the five— now six monks that he had just beaten up.
Okay, he was going to take that back. The six monks were more distasteful than these onlookers.
"What?"
They all wisely evaded his gaze and looked away.
Yun Ling scoffed.
'Pathetic.'
Though he looked incredibly cold and scary to the monks, they were surprised to see when his cold, stoic face instantly went warm when he looked towards his daughter and the children with a small smile on his face.
"Let's go."
...
They all got back to where Yun Yi had been meditating at which was just in a large open area right in front of their room.
Come to think of it, that place could be considered as their own personal training ground that was not at all totally unlike the public training ground that they had gone to just minutes ago. The only difference was theirs was quite smaller compared to the public training ground which was understandable since there were many monks who used the public training ground as opposed to the personal training grounds catered only for a single or at most, just a few people.
Yun Ling then ordered the children to stay away from the monks in the monastery since many of them were not good people. He told them not to approach them but the monks were to approach them instead, then they should put up their guards and stay with Yun Yi or Snow Fang. Yun Ling was telling them that for their own sake.

Actually, the reason why Yun Ling was wary of the monks was that he had seen quite a few of them perform some heinous acts in the past. What was more was it happened inside the monastery, at that.
Back then... there was a homeless little girl who sought refuge in the monastery after hearing that the Great Buddhist Monastery was a place that wouldn't turn anyone down. She was a homeless little girl that no longer had any relative. Just living for another day was already a challenge for her. She had to resort to begging and stealing just to eat food.
The little girl went to the monastery, hopeful that the monks would take her in and that she would no longer have to starve as long as she was in the monastery. Unfortunately, for her, the monastery was where her real nightmare began.
At that time, Tathagata was away from the monastery along with some of the high-ranking monks because of some matters they had to attend... and Yun Ling then had no clue what was going on until the last moment.
Even until now, Yun Ling could still remember that day very clearly...
...
"Monk Wang Yang... why don't you teach me some of the monastery's supreme arts? Several months had passed since I'm here yet Tathagata still hadn't allowed to the Great Hall," Yun Ling complained.
The Great Buddhist Monastery's supreme arts were one of the best supreme arts in the world. For Yun Ling with high standards regarding supreme arts... he really wanted to get his hands on one of their supreme arts to further enhance his strength.
Monk Wang Yang just glanced at him with disinterest. Regarding Yun Ling's behavior, he had long since gotten used to it to the point that he no longer got annoyed when Yun Ling bothered him or complained about something to him.

"If you really want to learn the monastery's supreme arts, why don't you use your special eyes and observe the other monks practicing their supreme arts? Aren't your eyes capable of copying a supreme art after just seeing it once?" Monk Wang Yang said.
"You don't understand... my eyes may be capable of doing that but there's something more to it than just that. If I copied the supreme arts of those fools, then I would only be harming myself," Yun Ling reasoned out.
His eyes might be able to copy someone's supreme art but that someone must also be a capable person. No matter how powerful a supreme art was, if a weak person performed it and he copied it, then there was no way Yun Ling could unleash the full power of that supreme art. His eyes had not yet reached the level that he could perform a supreme art even better than the one that he copied it from.
Monk Wang Yang nodded as he understood his reasoning before saying, "Then, why don't you just become a monk? If you become a monk, you will still not be allowed in the Great Hall but Tathagata will certainly let you learn some of our monastery's supreme arts."
Yun Ling just sighed at that.
There was no way he was going to become a monk. The life of a monk just wasn't right for him.
"Are you serious?! That really happened?!"
"I don't know if it's real or not that's why I'm going there right now to verify it with my own eyes!"
"Fuck... what if it really happened? To think there's someone crazy enough to do that here out of all places!"
Yun Ling and Monk Wang Yang heard the frantic voices of two monks who seemed to be in a rush as they ran past them in haste.
The two exchanged looks with each other, wondering what was going on.
They didn't know exactly what it was but something big must've happened to make one of those two monks openly swear inside the monastery.
With a brief nod, Yun Ling and Monk Wang Yang followed after the two monks.
As they got closer and closer to their destination, Yun Ling noticed that a lot of monks were also running towards the direction they were heading to. After a few seconds, Yun Ling and Monk Wang Yang found a huge crowd in the distance.
In the center of that huge crowd stood a topless monk with a naked little girl covered in blood on the ground.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." the little girl kept muttering those same words repeatedly like a broken doll while the monk standing in front of her just laughed out loud.
Monk Wang Yang let out a gasp, unable to believe what he had seen whereas Yun Ling...
His gaze and his heart went cold.
Yun Ling wasn't able to control himself that day. Under the watchful eyes of hundreds of monks, Yun Ling mercilessly beat the monk to death with no one daring to stop him.
A day after that...
The little girl committed suicide.
