《Young Master Has a Daughter》Chapter 243 - Immortal Slaying Cannon

The newcomer looked at the Immortal Willow Tree and answered with a monotone voice, "Correct. This unit was sent here to get the treasure and eliminate those who block our path. Advice: submit or die."
Heavenly Machine God Race!
He was someone that belonged to the Heavenly Machine God race. He mostly looked like a normal human but his skin, despite looking no different from a human's skin, was made out of metal. There was a pair of white metallic wings on his back while the latter half of his right arm looked like a black cylindrical object with a hollow end.
The Immortal Willow Tree stared at him.
"Big words for a pile of scrap. The New Generation of the Heavenly Machine God race like you do not stand a chance against an immortal like me."
The newcomer didn't have any reaction to his words.
"False. This unit may be a new generation unit but it is certainly capable of slaying an immortal," he simply responded with a monotone voice as he pointed the latter half of his right arm to the immortal. "Last advice. Submit or die."
"DIE!" the Immortal Willow Tree told him, rushing towards him.
"Very well," he said. "This unit shall you grant you death."
After he finished speaking, other individuals from the Heavenly Machine God race stepped out of the other portals, making the Immortal Willow Tree slow down its steps. There were now exactly a hundred individuals from the Heavenly Machine God race standing before the immortal.
"Those guys are..." the Law God Sect's sect master muttered with narrowed eyes.
"The Heavenly Machine God Race..." the war deity continued for him.
"Can they take on the immortal?"
"They probably can. The Heavenly Machine God race would never engage in a fight if they don't have any chance of winning," the supreme commander of the Law God Sect said before frowning.

If not for the Heavenly Machine God's appearance, there was a big chance that they would die inside the immortal's Divine Phantasm, however, once the immortal was dealt with, the Heavenly Machine God race would become one of their biggest competitors for the treasure.
"No matter how many of you come, you will never beat me!" the Immortal Willow Tree said before speeding up at the leader of the Heavenly Machine Gods.
Numerous white particles of light gathered at the Heavenly Machine God's cylindrical arm as he aimed its tip towards the Immortal Willow Tree.
"Immortal Slaying Cannon," the Heavenly Machine God said to itself before a large beam of light suddenly surged out from his black cylindrical arm.
The Immortal Willow Tree's eyes widened. It could feel the unnatural amount of spiritual energy in the beam. It could tell that it wouldn't come out unscathed if it took that attack head-on.
Before the beam of light hit him, the Immortal Willow Tree flew up to avoid it, only to see the other Heavenly Machine Gods flying above and pointing their cylindrical arms towards its direction, their arms glowing as numerous amount of light particles gathered around its tip.
'Not good. I can't avoid it in time!'
Several thick trees grew from the ground up to the sky in an instant, blocking the beams of light released by the Heavenly Machine Gods that was intended for the immortal.
The large trees exploded instantly as they got hit by the beam of light while the Immortal Willow Tree quickly escaped.
"Where are you going?"
The Immortal Willow Tree heard the voice of the leader of the Heavenly Machine God following it from behind. Dozens of branches grew from its head towards him, trying to kill or at least, slow the Heavenly Machine God down.

The Heavenly Machine God's eyes quickly locked onto the branches as it calculated its velocity and the possible directions the branches would take if he evaded it. All complex calculations were done in just a few seconds in its head as it swiftly evaded the branches by just a few centimeters.
Those who saw what happened looked at the Heavenly Machine God in surprise.
"Wha?! He predicted it?"
"No, he calculated it," the war deity said. "Well, you can say he predicted it from his calculations. That's how the Heavenly Machine Gods fight and that's what makes them a very troublesome opponent to fight."
Those who were unfamiliar with the Heavenly Machine Gods were awed at that. They then watched as the Heavenly Machine Gods forced the immortal to retreat by continuously firing off the cannons in their arms, not giving it any chance to retaliate.
"Should we help them?"
The war deity frowned.
"No, they look like they can handle it. For now, we should just watch. Only when the immortal has the upper hand will we intervene," he said. If possible, he wanted most of the Heavenly Machine God race to die as they fight the immortal so they would become even less of a threat once they dealt with the immortal.
They no longer said anything after that, preferring to watch the battle between the Heavenly Machine Gods and the Immortal Willow Tree.
Most of them blocked their faces as the shockwaves of hundreds of explosions unleashed by the newcomers came towards them. The pressure on them had also reduced since the Immortal Willow Tree's trees, roots, and branches stopped attacking them in favor of the Heavenly Machine Gods who were easily neutralizing its attacks with their powerful cannons.
"To be humiliated like this by artificial lifeforms like you...!"
The other Heavenly Machine Gods kept firing the immortal with the cannons in their arms, manipulating the immortal's position when he dodged their attacks.
The Immortal Willow Tree ran into a zigzag pattern as it evaded their blasts all the while looking for an opportunity to kill them off one by one.
Its eyes narrowed as it landed on the Heavenly Machine God near it.
'An opening!'
The Immortal Willow Tree immediately sped up towards his target when his target suddenly flew up, revealing the leader of the Heavenly Machine God waiting for it behind its target. The leader aimed his cannon right arm at the Immortal Willow Tree with an emotionless look on his face as he said, "Target lock."
Before the Immortal Willow Tree could react, a large beam of light that was far larger than the leader unleashed before came flying towards its direction with an unprecedented speed.
"True Immortal Slaying Cannon."
Large trees and branches appeared right in front of the immortal, trying to protect it from the Heavenly Machine God's attack.
The beam of light easily broke through the trees and branches one by one.
The Immortal Willow Tree's eyes widened as it watched the beam of light get closer and closer to it until finally...
A loud, powerful explosion took place inside the immortal's Divine Phantasm, destroying the world in the Divine Phantasm in the process.

Lone: The Wanderer [Dropped Version (includes original draft of the rewrite's first volume)]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? [Goal of 2 chapters per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies] A/N: This story is in the middle of a rewrite, so please forgive any noticeable plot holes and wonky chapter numbers. Souls of Savagery
Souls of Savagery is a series of short stories intended to function much like a comic book series. However, to experience the complete story in a logical order you should read the volumes in numerical order, starting of course, with Volume 1: A Bloodbath by Any Other Name. Each volume is told from a single point of view and that will change from volume to volume. Though, the narrative will require later volumes to return to characters that have been featured previously. I hope you enjoy.
