《Chronicles of Sora: Ruler of Rules》Chapter 47.1 - Yuko Ichihara (Part 1)

“Awaken skeleton.” A soft voice broke the silence in the room which was filled with thick smoke – incense sticks? The aroma was thick, enough to make Sora want to throw up.
Sora awoke and found himself lying on large colourful plush cushions. Sora could feel his hands cuffed but he tacitly understood he was not a prisoner. These cuffs were strangely making him feel more at home than a prisoner. Sora also noticed the eye patch covering his eye. He didn’t know why he had one on but it too felt nice. It had a nice cooling effect over his eye. Even though Sora felt better, Sora pretended that he didn’t hear the voice asking him to wake up. He continued to pretend he was asleep and didn’t move. Sora was just being cautious.
“Awaken skeleton. It is futile to be pretending.” The woman said as she took a deep breath from her thin smoking pipe.
Turning over and sitting up, Sora still didn’t speak up, only coldly looking at the woman lying on the divan. The woman (human) was tall and slender. Her skin was white as snow and hair black as the coal. Her flowing long black hair down extended all the way to the back of her knees. It was cut in many layers having front bangs up to her eyebrows, then another layer, reaching up to her jaw, and a layer at her hips and a final one at her knees.
Her red silky yukata which was embroidered with a floral pattern, was hanging loosely off her – revealing her lean smooth legs. She wore a red flower in her hair and a lace choker to match with the dress. The woman carried an air of a mystery about her. She was fatally captivating and mysteriously seductive. Her charming body would have captivated Sora’s mind and heart had it not been for the striking resemblance she shared with Yuko Ichihara.

Apart from wondering on how many levels this game infringed copyrights. He could only give the game credit for making a three-dimensional Yuko.
Sora was swearing in his mind this woman was identical in every way to the anime character in xxxHolic and Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle. Sora knew the anime character fairly well. She was known as Yuko Ichihara in xxxHolic and the Dimensional Witch in Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle. The anime character’s powers included dimensional abilities like time travel, travelling through dimensions etc and ridiculously high spiritual power, agility and defense. However, what made her most formidable was the ability to grant nearly any wish and near omnipotence.
However, Sora feared her for different reasons. If Sora’s personality could be described as queer, incomprehensible and goldfish, then, Yuko’s was more so. She was not only more eccentric than Sora but also far more lecherous. Unlike Sora’s pervy-ness which was driven by simple minded lust, Yuko only used her lecherous side to disturb or annoy people. If one had to fear her it was her uncanny ability to make a servant out of people. Sora was terrified of becoming this woman’s servant.
Given all this, there was no need to ask, Sora already knew in the hands of this monstrous lecherous freak, how could there be a good ending?
***
Sora stared at Yuko in cold sweat – he was certain she was the one who attacked him.
“Speak skeleton. How do you know my sister?” The woman asked.
“Sister?” Sora spoke unconsciously. Wasn’t she, Yuko Ichihara, in the living flesh?
“My younger sister, you confused me for her? Did you not? After all we are twins.” The woman asked as she puffed her pipe impatiently. Her red eyes were fixed on Sora.
“Yuko Ichihara…is your younger sister?” Sora was terribly confused. Where did a sister come from? Isn’t this woman her Yuko Ichihara?

“Ichihara?” The woman asked rhetorically with some curiosity. “Did she get married? Not even an invitation card….really this is all too much…to not even invite me for her wedding…”
The woman suddenly stopped talking to herself as she realized she was in the presence of Sora.
Sora could only ogle on – even the way she spoke was like Yuko! How is she not Yuko?
“Where is she?” the woman asked as she sat up straight, with her legs crossed.
The scene in front of Sora was very good because Yuko was revealing her beautiful legs to him. Yuko could sense Sora’s lustful stare and then modestly covered her legs with her yukata.
‘Lecherous skeleton.’ She thought to herself; teasing this monster would only back fire on her. “Well, go on…”
Sora didn’t know how to answer this question. How could he tell her that the Yuko he knows is an anime character? First of all, would she even know what an anime character is?
“I am not sure where to begin….” Sora started off.
The woman raised her finger motioning Sora to be quiet. “We have company.”
There was a knock on the door.
*Knock* Knock*
“Come in…” The woman said in a melodious voice – even her voice sounded like Yuko’s. How is she not Yuko?
Two fluffy rabbit like creatures floated into the room. One was black and the other was white. Both had opposite coloured oval jewels embedded in their forehead - copyright infringement one after another.
“You beckoned?” They asked in unison in an anime like voice.
“Mokona…” Sora gasped as he saw them enter the room. Sora looked at the two in awe - in the anime they were known as Mokona.
The two turned their attention towards Sora. They weren’t expecting someone else to be accompanying the woman.
“You know Mokona?” The woman asked with a surprise.
“Mokana is Mokana. You would count them as there is one Mokona and there is two Mokona and then you would stop. There are only two.” Sora recollected the lines from the anime..
The woman’s eyebrows were raised high up – it was as if Sora stole her lines.

Fragments of Glass
before the 1939-1945 War, most churches in England had stained glass windows, but despite local people's best efforts many of these windows were smashed in the bombing. What could be repaired was repaired, but in many churches all they could do was reassemble the remaining fragments randomly, with extra bits of clear glass added to eke them out to fill the windows. That is what I imagined for my collection of short stories: fragments of stained glass, bits of robe, bits of faces, all sorts of odds and ends randomly stuck together. And with quite a lot of clear fragments among the coloured ones. Just broken pieces of stories that anyone can look through.
