《Relife System: The Unholy Mage》13: The System and the Training

As he floated on the river's water holding himself to the stone riverbank, he revised all the actions and the mistakes he made during the chase with the Knights.
The fact that he used Magic was more important especially when it came to Combat Magic that is basically Fantasy Martial Arts but his focus this time was on his body.
His build is so scrawny that he couldn't believe this body resisted the chase all that time and didn't collapse. There where the beauty of the System showed itself. It increases the stats of the body based on some mysterious force that adds power to it. No wonder this method was used by a race such as humans which was weak since birth to contend with the Demons and the Monsters.
But how capable is he without the System? To answer that, Leon opened his Status and did a reading on the attributes section in general.
——————————
- Strength: 17
(Base: 5 / Leveling: 12)
- Endurance: 18
(Base: 6 / Leveling: 12)
- Agility: 19
(Base: 6 / Leveling: 12)
- Perception: 19
(Base: 7 / Leveling: 12)
- Intelligence: 28
(Base: 16 / Leveling: 12)
——————————
From the Game, Leon knew that an adult human has an overall minimum of 8 points in each attribute meaning that aside from his Intelligence, which increased by accident, he has shitty Base stats and all his luck comes from leveling.
The reason why the Nobles forbade their children from leveling up is so they can gain enough Base Stats by training before they join the Academy. In other words, Leon's Base stats were left to rot on purpose.
"Motherfuckers!"
Leon's anger was directed against the Dark Family. He knew that he was being raised far away from the Capital when he was young because of his low Proficiency and Growth but he was taken by his father for a political reason.
Leon's Father… the thought of him infuriates Leon beyond sense.
On one side, the former Leon was desperate and wanted his father to acknowledge him in order to break from his inferior status in the family. On the other hand, Shady never knew a father but he knew a pig of a step-father whom he ended up killing. The joint character of the two ended up viewing Leon's Father as a tyrant who put his weakest youngest son in a life of torture.
If Leon's pathetic Base Stats were the result of his father's neglectful behavior to his son then this Leon didn't even mind adding that tyrant to the list of people he's going to get back on.
In truth, this was a scary list. It included a Crown Prince, a number of the Aristocratic Younger Generation and now the Prime Minister of the Amber Kingdom, a 1st Class Member of the Noble Society and a major figure in the Crowns' political faction.

"Seriously this is annoying! To all the pile of problems I already have, I need to take care of those Base Stats and get back on that bastard of a Father. Fucking Hell!"
Leon felt like cursing with all the annoying things he needs to do. This goes back to the same point he just thought about once he woke up. Isekai isn't fun at all, now he has to sort out the life of a different person.
What else to do?
Why can't he just reincarnate with Harem and shoot magic like farting?
Speaking of which!
He came to wash up and experiment on Magic from the start. This [Unrestrained Magic] is the reason he came here yet he kept sidetracking.
"Let's see."
He looked around to make sure that no one was watching then took out the Mithril Dagger from his Storage. As he grabbed it, he opened his Spell menu and started thinking of the thing he can do.
——————————
- [Space-Time Lv.1]: Storage
- [Knowledge Lv.1]: Read - Forgery
- [Air Magic Lv.1]: Wind Reinforcement
- [Earth Lv.1]: Earth Control
- [Combat Lv.2]: Power Attack - Leap - Rush
——————————
The skill he tried to use but didn't get the chance to try seriously was [Air Magic - Wind Reinforcement]. He caught it from playing around with the tutorial girl then tried it on the Knight he fought on the bridge but it didn't do much back then.
Leon touched the blade of the dagger with his left index and middle fingers then copied the action used by Lena Hart to activate the spell by dragging the two fingers from the side base of the blade to its tip and muttered.
"Wind Reinforcement."
As he did once, it worked once again but it felt less intimidating than he imagined it would be.
"Change my classes to Warrior and Mage."
The moment he did so, the shape of the spell on the dagger started to become more lively now that he added the Class buff to it. A hint of pale green energy encased the dagger in a cyclone of wind with a shape similar to the blade.
"This is so… beautiful."
Seeing the wind come to life as he commanded was something that almost moved his emotions. The strands of air circling slowly according to his will were just amazing.
But that is the way the System intended for Magic to be used as an Automatic Function that came from its interference according to how the Arcane Theory book described it. The right way to use Magic is to use it from within. While it is harder to practice, it grows with time to rival the Automatic Function of the System.
The reason why Shady was a good combatant in his past life was that he didn't take shortcuts. He would do the same with Magic Practice if he could rather than relying on the System and thus he ended the Wind Reinforcement spell.

To use Magic, one must meditate to the Element of origin of the spell. Even though he was in the Water, Leon only needed to get out and sit on the stone slabs near the riverbank in order to feel the air on his naked body.
Being wet was a plus as the wind started to seep into him. He may catch a cold that way but he still endured a little.
The mediation starts by following the flow of the wind with the mind until an image of it starts to form in his mind. Slowly and carefully, he started to chase after the wind with his senses as he closed his eyes.
With each blow of wind, the flow changes, the temperature, the speed, the origin and the moisture. Every bit of wind is different from the others before them.
As the image of how the wind around him reacted to his surroundings, he started to at least be able to tell how to see the wind with his eyes closed. The range of his sensory was very humble as he used it without the help of the System.
But that wasn't the end of it, actually, he didn't even get started.
All he did just now was to meditate to the Air Element to sense the outside Mana that forms the fabric of the air. He still hasn't used his own Mana yet.
Mana is the Magical Energy that originates from all things Living and Dead. The reason why it comes from the dead as well is that nothing is truly dead but it is rather part of a greater being, the World.
The Life of the World, or in a more educated term the Life of the Planet, is something that can be considered the most argued subject among Mages yet the Arcane Theory insists that the Planet is as alive as we are, only in a greater form that no one can perceive no matter what.
This was very similar to the Gaia hypothesis which indicates that living organisms interact with their inorganic surroundings on Earth to form a synergistic and self-regulating, complex system that helps to maintain and perpetuate the conditions for life on the planet. In simpler words, the environment we live in is composed of many units and at the same time, it is a single unit.
The Arcane Theory takes things a step further as it includes spirits and elements into the circle.
Ironically enough, the Pollution which harms the Environment also harms the Magic thus weakening the caster. The book mentioned the phenomenon of Miasma which followed the appearance of Demons to be a Pollution in Mana.
But all of this and that has nothing to do with natural spellcasting. Maybe by understanding it did Leon come to know the second step. As there are Mana in the objects and the environment, there is Mana in the Human body.
To say that the Mana in the human body must be taken out then converted into some sort of Element to shoot it as a spell is completely hoax and utterly nonsensical. If you take away the Mana inside a living being, they die, simple as that.
On the other hand, Mana can be increased through training and moved with Mental Energy hence the Intelligence attribute comes to play.
But what calculates the Mana in the body?
To make it simple, the system doesn't bother with calculating the Mana but the Level and the Class take an effect here.
The Level can be said as the main factor which by its increase, the Mana in the Soul starts to boost all the basic attributes thus with every level up, all attributes go up by one.
The Class is something similar to Overclocking a certain attribute as it appeared in the reading of the Base and the Leveling attributes. Just like what happened a while ago, the Class "Mage" increased the efficiency of the spell "Wind Reinforcement" and just now, the Class is increasing the efficiency of the training which is a hidden plus of the system.
The efficiency is actually the Talent (Growth / XP rate) in the Proficiency section of the Status Screen thus it all comes into play together.
[A/N: in the First Draft, someone said that my system doesn't make sense and a cliche. Now take that… and go with God.]
To cast a spell properly, one must sync the Mana within and the Mana outside then control the outer Mana with the inner Mana thus the most basic type of spells come to play. The Elemental Bending (Control Spells).
With the Mediation reaching the point of Sensory, the Syncing started to take form when Leon unknowingly raised his arms to slowly make their movements flow with the wind. His mental power has received a good boost recently thanks to his latest Base Intelligence growth and thus it synched with the wind flow at a faster rate compared to the mediation. Ultimately, the inner Mana started to take grasp of the outer Mana and…
*Swoooooosh*
Leon formed a gust of wind that came with the appearance of a circular distortion in the fabric of reality around him. It was his will that the Air moves this way and it did.
And from this point onward, Leon's access to Magic became unprecedented in the entire world.
