When I received the system message that mentioned about a certain maintenance and update, everyone I saw around me was jubilant. The town square was full of noises and euphoria from all the players. They were waiting expectantly for the next event to commence and the confirmation within the official websites before the maintenance had made everyone flooded the official forum and such. Even Ed and Al were in a jolly good mood when they messaged me privately in the game. Al had purposely created a private channel for the three of us to chat at any time anywhere.
Al: “Well, if it was like the previous event, I’m sure the viewership of live streaming would be above 100 million.”
Ed: “I’m thinking along the line of 300 million or more, Al.”
“So, there are many people viewing it live?”
Al: “It’s in mainstream news and there’s dedicated satellite channels for it.”
“I see.”
Ed: “But I was quite surprised that you did not participate in this event. I thought you were not serious when you mentioned it earlier.”
Al: “Even though you were drafted? What a waste.”
“Seen too much war in my lifetime to be involved in one.”
Ed: “Well, whatever suit your fancy. But don’t forget, Bryan. I still want us to work together and created our own live streaming. There’s official and there’s player’s streaming.”
“Alright, alright!”
The Siege of Valenheim New Event!
After the countless years of painstaking study, research of ruins and archaeology leads, the Royal Scholars of the Kingdom of Asgardia had finally found the path to High Asgard.
Jubilant with the news, King Aldemar Thoran had drafted his armies for his next conquest.
Calling all players within the Kingdom of Asgardia. Heed your King’s Call. Join his powerful army to take on this new event. Expand the world and take your journey into the famed legendary city, High Asgard!
Quest Rank: World FATE
Time left: After the worldwide maintenance. The event will last for 7 days.
Event Requirements:
Each player must first be drafted by the Royal Army. No level or jobs restrictions.
Level Sync if above 200.
Quest Reward:
Upon the successful event, each player will be given among others gold coins, raise in fame and recognition, special equips and even war loots. Rewards are based on each player’s contributions. Guild rewards are given separately which also includes the territorial allocation and the chance to govern the newly acquired city.

Well, that was that then. The rewards might have turned lots of heads but again, I hated being in war. Living it once in real life, I had no need to live it here in the game. I purposely avoided that. However, before the maintenance started which was due in a few more hours, I took this opportunity to raise a few more levels with Elly. Hopefully, by the time the event started, everyone else was busy with the war and we could actually use this time to expand our proficiencies and skills. Lately, I had been thinking about the mechanism of NPO that I had never thought before. Perhaps when I did my research, most information was still at the beginning stage. By this time, I was sure that there were many things that had been made available that was not shared. Information was indeed vital. Once I saw Sonia’s skills and her playing style, it made me thought hard about what I needed to do next.

I did not know what had happened when I logged off for the maintenance. However, it was all too late when I saw Popo and Mimi looking grim. I tried to summon Elly to my side but oddly, her name was greyed out. Curious, I went to the Bunnian’s house and looked for her there instead. However, to my immediate surprise, all I saw was a partially destroyed house and the couple were nursing themselves off their injuries.
“The Royal Army barged into our house and took Elly away, po!” Popo was furious beyond words. Sporting a broken arm and definitely a bruised ego, he was extremely pissed off. “I’m a fucking Royal Sword Meister, not some random rabbits!”
I looked at Mimi and she too was bruised. “To be honest, we never expected them here. We were invited by the King to be a part of his Siege expedition but…”
“Forget about that useless wimp of a King! He took Elly right under our nose!!” Popo banged on the table.
“Why did they have to take her? Do you two know any reason? She’s just… well, a normal girl. Was it because I pummeled Brutus the other day?” I could find no other way to reason it out why these two cute rabbits had been treated this way.
“No. Ghost. Brutus’ incident was brushed off. The one that came here was the King’s own private army.” Popo explained to me. “But…” He turned to Mimi and as I looked at the two exchanging the glance, I knew immediately something was off. Thankfully, I did not need to be in rage mode for me to find out why.

“Elly is not just any normal girl, Ghost.” Mimi began to explain to me. “She is the only descendant of the fame Byrnhildr family.”
“Byrnhildr family?” Mimi nodded at me.
Memoir of an Old God has been updated!
I had read the part 2 but nothing much was added.
Memoir of an Old God, Part 3.
“My liege.” The blonde woman bowed down her head in front of Odin. “I want to return to Midgard, my world.”
“No!” The God King bellowed his order much to the disappointment of the woman.
“B-But…”
“You shall serve me here, amongst the Gods! Why do you need to seek the mortals?”
“I can’t leave my family at home. Much I love my time with you, Great Odin, but I longed for the warmth of the human. Of my family.”
“You are the Chosen bearer of my will. I can’t see to you that you leave my side, ever.”
The woman was dejected. But the Wise Old King was not finished just yet. “However, I could allow you a brief moment to spend with your family. But it will be the last of it, ever!”
The woman expression changed. She beamed with happiness and bowed her head deeply in reverence of the Great Odin.
“Go, Byrnhildr!”
“Elly is the direct lineage from the ancestors that served the Great Old God, Odin Allfodr himself.”
I was starting to see some sense, but somehow it did not add up. “What about her family?” I asked.
“Elly has no family. She was found within the ruins by my Master. As he brought her here, back to the Royal Capital to be presented to the late King, Elly was an infant living inside a crystal. Through continuous great magic even after the passing of my Master, she was finally released and then lived her life within the confine of the Royal Palace. It had been more than 20 years since then. Until that day when she escaped from the Royal Palace.”
What a great turn of event. Elly the Thief who became a Shield Protector now became the Child of the Crystal? Well, whoever she was, I did not care. All I needed to know was she was taken by force from this Bunnian couple and I was not about to let it go.
“So, where’s the Royal Palace?” I stood up and walked towards the door.
“What are you thinking, Ghost?!” Mimi stared at me with a dumbfounded look on her face.
“Well, to bring her back, of course!” My answer was short and my resolve was direct.
“B-But… that’s suicide, po!” It was Popo’s turn to sway me, but I was not about to be swayed. Cute or not, these rabbits could not get into me for now.
“So what?! I’m used to it!” Kicking the door that was half destroyed open, it startled the two couple and the one waiting outside for me.
“W-We will help you, po!”
“No! I’ll do this alone Popo. You and your wife better get a rest. In your current condition, you will do more harm than good to me. Rose and I would be more than enough for these bloody wretched whoresons.”
I looked at Rose who waited for me by the garden. The 2 feet Rose has now grown into 4 feet tall. Previously, she looked like a talking ginseng but now the transformation from seedling to vegetative was amazing. She now resembled a human child. She looked more like the offspring of the Hulk though. The only saving grace was she was extremely cute and girly with a rose flower blooming from her head that looked like a huge piece of hair-pin rosary.
Looking at her new window stats, I gave out a wicked smile. Good. Really good.
“Papa, are we going to rescue Sis Elly?”
“No!” I looked at her sternly.
“Hmm?” I could not help but to smile at her confused look.
“We are going to bloody destroy those people who dare to lay harm on my friends and allies. And at the same time, we will rescue Elly.”
“Oh!” She shrieked excitedly at my answer.
“Come. Let’s go, Rose!”

The War Wolves
If you’re good at something, never do it for free. That’s what Ludgar’s uncle taught him. Sellswording isn’t the most glamorous life, but it pays well if you’re good at it. When the mercenary lifestyle grows incompatible with the Kingdom of Evandis, he and his merry band of misfits set off west to seek those with a better proclivity for warfare and with much deeper pockets. At his side: a wandering barbarian who teeters on the edge of savagery, a girl who would have a heart of gold if she didn’t pawn it off to the nearest fence, a wannabe knight who is absolutely overcompensating for something, and the last person in the universe who should be anywhere close to magic. But, as most mercenaries find, the right decisions are quite an expensive luxury, and the wrong ones happen to pay very well. Then again, what are the value of morals to a hungry wolf?
