《Fun and magic》Chapter 4-Nutcracker

Jason's 11 birthday felt different to him.
He felt different, not a good different though.
The whole day he had a constant headache, an awful biting pain that only seemed to get better when he moved around, he had to dance to no music a lot today.
And his body, it felt unusually heavy, like someone had put bricks into his pockets.
He tried not to show it though, he didn't want his parents and Harry to worry. After all, he had never gotten sick before, not even a cold. If he suddenly told his parents he felt ill, they would immediately take him to the hospital to check if there was some new type of hybrid virus in the air.
So all he could do was endure.
When he finally went to bed that night, he felt like he had been through a war, no a slaughter, where the soldiers stab twice just to make sure you're dead.
****
That night he dreamt of Ancient trees, a forest full. And dinosaurs roaming through them. All of them were piously facing this behemoth of a tree, towering to the sky, it's oldest branches thick enough to rival the oldest oak. And right at the bottom, where they were the thinnest, he saw a beautiful snow white branch that looked oddly familiar.
****
When Jason woke up the next morning, he felt a whole lot better;no, he felt reborn. As if he had used all those bricks in his pocket to build a house. The only problem was...
"How the fuck did I get up here! "
Yes, Jason was currently floating, no, his bed was floating, no... Well you get the picture. Everything in his room, from his cupboard to his bookcase, was dangling in the air, as if gravity didn't exist here.

"I haven't lost control over my magic in years, what's the deal. " he murmured to himself.
But just then Jason heard a voice, "Get me the fuck down from here you #%@$. " It said. Jason looked around incomprehensibly.
Am i going crazy now? Are the gods punishing me cause I'm too handsome
"Get me down from here you [email protected]%#%#" He heard the inappropriate voice again. This time he was sure where it came from. He looked to his left, and what he saw made him scream for his mother like the little bitch he was.
"Eeeek, demon! Mommyyy! Help there's a demon in my room. "
His parent's room were right across from his, so they came in as soon as they heard his call.
"Honey what's wro-, Wha! Why's your furniture floating again? " Mrs Riley exclaimed.
Mr Riley just stood on the side, wanting to laugh at the funny fighting pose his son was making. He and Mrs Riley could never get over their son's unnatural fear of spiders, or anything creepy-crawly. They did find it refreshing though, since Jason already feared so little things, at least it made him a little more normal.
"Quick mum, kill it. " Jason said again.
"Calm down honey it's just a spider. " Mrs Riley said with an unnatural expression on her face.
"No mum you don't understand, its really a demon. It's speaking can't you hear it... There listen, it's calling me a little bit-"
"Language mister! " Mr Riley said with authority.
"Its over! "Jason said miserably, "Spiders are speaking! The world's ending... No! It can't end like this, yes you're patient zero! If i kill you, the world would be saved! " Saying that Jason reached under his pillow and pulled out his trusty stick(covering up the fact of where it's really kept), And pointing it straight at the floating spider.

"Say your prayers demonspawn, your reign of terror ends here! " You couldn't blame Jason for his exaggerated actions though, say you feared spiders your whole life, but it doesn't affect you that much, because hey, at least it can't talk right? . But then, suddenly when you wake up, one's floating beside your head, shouting profanities left and right. Wouldn't that be one's worst nightmare?
Seeing him pull out what looked like a wand to her(and to any who knew about magic) , Mrs Riley shouted hastily.
"Jason Riley, put down that thing right this instant. "
"Don't worry mum it's just a stupid stick, it doesn't even work. I'm just trying to scare it. " he reassured her.
"I can hear you, you #%@*$. " The spider just when on again.
"Shut up foul beast, your end is near. " Saying that, he called out a spell.
"Kaaaaa-meeeee--"
Stop stop stop, you can't use that here idiot
"Cough, sorry wrong one. " Jason said, duly embarrassed. He quickly called out a different one though.
"Deck the halls,
Break the walls.
Come one Barbie
Bust his balls. "
...
"See mum, nothing happened it's just a broken sti--"
But before he could finish his sentence, a dark red light shone on the tip of the stick, and under the stunned gazes of Jason, Mrs Riley and Mr Riley hit the spider head on, illicitting a scream so painful that even his parents could hear it. (only a scream though )
"Aaaaaahhh, you bastard, you crushed my balls! " Cried it's pain filled voice.
Jason was dumbfounded, he hadn't expected this broken thing to suddenly work, and it really busted balls. What a wonder!
Jason quickly snapped out of his reverie though, all because he heard a voice that sent cold shivers right down to his soul...
The voice of death.
