《Arcana》Chapter 26 - The Krumping Blacksmith

Cheers from everywhere erupted when they saw the chief walking and well.
The dwarf village was really homey, like a big family altogether.
We were headed towards the town’s smithy since the village chief Tsikee was really enthusiastic on making me a weapon as his thanks.
Of course, I kept refusing but he denied my refusal each time.
After a while, we arrived at the smithy
“Ahh, I’ve missed you” [Tsikee]
The village chief was checking every nook and cranny of the shop.
He kept talking to his tools as if they were all his wives…
“Ah, Lan-boy, come here for a second would you” [Tsikee]
“What is it sir?” [Lan]
“Could you bend down for a moment Lan-boy” [Tsikee]
“Like this?” [Lan]
“That’s just-“ [Tsikee]
The chief suddenly struck his palm unto my chest. It was a weird feeling, as if something was spread all throughout my body then retracted back to where it came from
“-perfect” [Tsikee]
“W-What was that sir?” [Lan]
“Ah, don’t worry about it. I just gave you cancer” [Tsikee]
“CANCER?!” [Lan]
“HAHAHA I’m kidding, I’m kidding! You’ll see when I’m done. Now, sit back” [Tsikee]
Then all of a sudden, the chief’s domain enveloped the room then he started working.
From filling the coal, smelting the iron, molding the weapon, everything was complete choreography.
As if every movement was meant for something… he truly was Tsikee the Krumping Blacksmith.
After some time, he had finished my weapon.
“Here Lan-boy, take it for a spin” [Tsikee]
“W-wow… it looks amazing” [Lan]
“You use a dagger with your non-dominant hand which means your right isn’t occupied. I made a lightweight rapier to match your speed-type fighting style. It’s also suited for your electric affinity and can withstand your dense arcana” [Tsikee]
“How?! How do you know all that?!” [Lan]

“Remember when I hit you earlier? That gave me a rough idea about your body and other stuff” [Tsikee]
“T-this was made from a rough i-idea… amazing” [Lan]
“That’s not even my best work HAHA!” [Tsikee]
“T-thank you very much!” [Lan]
“HAHA don’t mention it Lanny-boy!” [Tsikee]
“L-Lanny-boy this time…” [Lan]
“Well then, go, give it a whirl!” [Tsikee]
“Y-Yes!” [Lan]
“Ah! I forgot to tell ya, all of the materials used were all heavy and compact. I sealed some of my magic to make it lightweight” [Tsikee]
“! You can do something like that!?” [Lan]
“HAHAHA! It’s no big deal! Now, go!” [Tsikee]

Star God
An ancient, ageless entity of magic intertwines with the essence of a tribal hero and a god is born. In a land where the worship of any entity is banned and punishable by mass-execution, the young and idealistic deity must come to terms with the ugliness of humanity, and find a way for his flock to survive, and maybe even thrive. A young man born into a mountain tribe treads the path of a hero, but he must learn the extent to which he would go to keep his people and their fledgling god safe and happy. Enemies are everywhere, and to defend their way of life, they must learn to harness the power of magic. Others are ahead of them in this regard, so they must act fast if they are to survive. A Xianxia-esque magic system, but with a focus on Western-style spellcasting and mysticism. This is more or less a deconstruction of classical fantasy and pantheons. The story focuses on two main characters; a God and a hero who serves him. Kingdom building themes are prevalent. If you like it, please remember to rate and review.

The Legend of Ghost
This is a quick novella origin story to one of fan-favorite characters in the ZERO universe, Sam Dobbs, a.k.a. Slade Gardner, a.k.a. the Ghost. I wrote it for current ZERO series fans, after many insistent, fervent, teary-eyed demands. Still, I think it pretty much works as a stand-alone, so I'll post it here. (He gets the name Ghost later, not as part of this story...this is just the why he decided to do what he did, being slightly insane and all.) Lots of easter eggs for current fans. 15k words total, chapters will be approx. 2.5k each. Oh, and if you get turned off by crazy, hyperintelligent antisocials being crazy, hyperintelligent antisocials, this isn't the story for you. ;)

Soul Core Online
Soul Core Online was a game that few people were interested in until after it was released, due to its odd way of handling character growth but this soon changed as people started to realise just how different this game was. Unlike many of its predecessors the NPCs in Soul Core Online acted in a way that was indistinguishable from real people and the world felt alive because of this instead of the empty and sterile cities we had come to expect, even walking down the street could give you insights to how these people lived. In my case this was the world that I had always wanted to visit and I soon found myself embroiled in the constantly changing world that is Soul Core Online.
