《Isekai Gundam (Reboot)》Episode 24: The Alliance Is Formed (Part 3)

Arkhan was awoken by his alarm clock, which was blaring a loop of the Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ opening, “Anime Ja Nai” at him. He rose from his bed and got dressed, brushed his teeth and took a shower, although not in that order. As he exited his chambers, the Mobile Throne was waiting for him. Once seated and strapped in, the Mobile Throne zoomed off to a large dining room so that Arkhan could get some breakfast. He had arrived early enough that his guests would still be waking up and preparing for the day, in fact the sun had yet to even begin to be seen on the horizon. He had 2 sugar cookies as a quick pick-me-up and sat down in one of the chairs and began listening to the reports from the various divisions in his forces. While listening to daily reports would normally have taken time, Arkhan was partially connected to his creations by a mental and magical link, which allowed him to absorb information delivered by them much faster than if he were to read reports or listen to actual words. It could easily be described as listening to a Gestalt Consciousness of mechanical beings, with each MSG contributing to a vast, continuous conversation made of ones and zeros.
He could easily comprehend the words of each individual through the cacophonous choir of disparate voices, although a normal man would have gone quite mad due to the large amount of overlapping dialogue. Everyone was interconnected, everyone knew every thought and emotion of everyone else and everyone could see, feel, hear, smell and taste what everyone else was experiencing. Like was stated, a normal man would have gone quite batty if they were allowed to be a part of this Networked Intelligence, this Gestalt Consciousness for even a small portion of time. This had its benefits, Arkhan knew exactly what was going on, as did all of his subordinates and thus they didn’t have to worry about losing contact or not knowing something because of poor communication.

After another two and a half hours, the dignitaries had arrived in the dining room. The meals served included various breakfast staples, bacon and eggs, pancakes, cereal with and without milk, toasts of various kinds, muffins of various kinds and various types of bagels. There were many different spreads to choose from as well, butter, cream cheese, jam, peanut butter and even spam for those who wanted it. Juices were varied and plentiful and there were several types of coffee blends to choose from along with fresh water with ice if you wanted to be bland. Such a selection was more than what the dignitaries had expected from a nation made up of more than 99% machines.
During breakfast, the assembled individuals chatted until the subject of combat capabilities came around. Princess Leona was very interested in facing off against one of the RX-78-2 Gundams that made up Arkhan’s elite forces, but Arkhan had managed to convince her to try fighting against the Gouf Custom named Norris Packard instead. Arkhan was hesitant to potentially destroy a Gundam, but was much more hesitant to have a named MSG being destroyed/ killed, so he imposed rules for the engagement. No killing blows, no mortal wounds, no instant death attacks, no ranged attacks and once a certain amount of damage had been done or one side yields the match is over. The conditions were agreed to and Princess Leona and Norris Packard squared off in a custom made arena after breakfast.
Leona was the first to move, using a skil to enhance her movement speed and strength to rocket across the circular arena floor. However, before she could reach Norris he had moved to the side. She was in a tough spot, as her boost of speed had left her in the air by the time she reached Norris, who grabbed her head as she flew past him and slammed her into the ground before pushing his thrusters to the max and dragging her across the arena floor head first. He then threw her at full force across the arena before speeding over to her still airborne and confused body and giving a heavy kick to the gut which launched her high into the air. As she tumbled up and back down, her consciousness began to fade and when she reached the stationary Norris he grabbed one of her legs and threw her once again across the arena. As she slammed into the arena wall, Leona lost consciousness while thinking that her father just HAD to fight these guys. He would definitely get a kick out of fighting someone so strong. Her final thoughts were that she probably would have fallen in love with Norris Packard if he wasn’t a machine as someone this strong and skilled was hard to come by. This machine was the first person aside from her father and mother to best her in combat, and he wasn’t even the best of the best! She was glad that the ‘Mobile Suit Golems’ were on their side and not the Humans’ Side. It was actually funny, she was fully armed and armored but this ‘Gouf Custom’ had beaten her so easily with just his bare hands. He had not even drawn his burning sword or used the electric weapon in his right arm. She had been dominated so thoroughly and easily that he didn’t even feel the need to get serious against her. The world truly was vast.

As Leona was taken to the hospital to recover from her injuries, Norris Packard made his way to the center of the arena. He raised his right hand and balled it into a fist before yelling the now common prayer at the top of his lungs.
“SEIG ARKHAN!” (Norris Packard)
The arena looked vacant aside from the dignitaries and Arkhan, but the cameras stationed at various angles had allowed the entirety of Arkhan’s forces to watch the curb-stomp from every angle. While no one aside from Arkhan heard the response to Norris’ words, the response from the whole of Arkhan's forces was exactly what you would expect. All throughout Arkhan’s nation, Norris’ words were echoed again and again. Arkhan quietly face-palmed as the chant reverberated throughout his nation.
“SEIG ARKHAN! SEIG ARKHAN! SEIG ARKHAN! SEIG ARKHAN!”

Descendants of Cosmia
Reefa, Wellor, Rozo and Auri are four teenagers trying to get through life living in a village surrounded by the barren sands of the Hariq Desert; a village isolated from the walls of the 9 Monarchs of Cosmia. The world that lies beyond the walls involves the social segregation between humans and Haaras. Haaras are people with the ability to control elements of water, air and earth, whilst humans cannot obtain this power at all. Reefa had always thought of herself to be a human with no type of elemental wielding. However, after many reoccurences throughout her childhood in which she hears the voices of people that speak in the future, she has doubts about who she really is inside. The same phenomenon happens when she is 15 years-old, but this time the voices she hears alerts her of a future attack that will happen to the people of her village. When the time had come, Reefa and her friends escape their predicament and travel to the east towards the land of dragons known as Tetranazia. Bearing in mind the last words her aunt told her with a heavy heart, she must protect her friends from the dangers ahead and venture into the walls to search for the answers of the attack. This is an original English light novel (OELN). There will be several visuals of characters and world-building as you read this novel. The story's genre is mainly Shonen-influenced Josei and Fantasy. Do note that the story is slow-paced in development, so it might not be to your liking. I'll be updating 2 new chapters every month on the 25th (SGT).(I'm doing it monthly because I have to consider the pile of college workload I have (;_;) and I'll need extra time on drawing the illustrations) Occasionally, I'll do Bonus Releases, where I release more than 2 chapter in the next monthly update Feel free to give me feedback on my story. I will very much appreciate it! (ノ´∀`) I created this story on Scribble Hub, so you can also check it out over at their platform.

The year is 605, and in your home— the country of Corcaea— the souls of mankind belong to demons. A phenomenon known as the "Catalyst" is what's to blame. This diabolical phenomenon lurks within every man, woman, and child. It can turn any human into a demon, if they fall prey to one, all-consuming element. It can be anything. Fear. Grief. Generosity. Even love. In a land where Gods are real and Corcaea's theocracy is the last hope for mankind, you follow in the footsteps of Father Richard Anscham: a deeply disturbed young priest, the leader of the Church of Mercy, and the foremost researcher of the Catalyst. Despite completing a holy mission from the Goddess of Mercy, obtaining a holy Relic, and escaping from demon-infested ruins, Father Anscham is in greater peril than ever before. Ravaged in mind, body, and soul, the solace he begs to receive from the Church of Flesh is impeded by a cruel lesson: the ramifications of a life spent sacrificing everything one has for others. See through the harrowing eyes of a man at his wit's end; through a dark fantasy tale of horror, hope, and desperation. Search for the cure. Conquer your personal demons. Welcome to Catalyst! As this is an archive of Catalyst Quest (an interactive, collaborative story), the prompts that were included with the original run of Avowed have been stripped, and the story is presented like a traditional novel for your reading convenience. If you would like to read Catalyst in its original format or participate in current events, you can find us here, on Sufficient Velocity. This book is complete! The story will continue with Catalyst: Calunoth, just as soon as I am done revising its content for here on Royal Road.
