《Isekai Gundam (Reboot)》Episode 71: Embiggening

A few dozen minutes after Asharia had puked her guts out, a delicate operation was taking place in the nearly completely gutted wreck of the Angelus Holy Union’s flagship. The ‘Final Judgment’ had had a judgement of its own cast down on it during the previous eighteen hours, and it had been found wanting. The ship had massive gashes and holes where Asharia had torn it open and ripped it apart, and this did not even count the damage caused by her elemental breath. All in all, the ship that had been the mobile holiest of holies for the Holy Union was now drifting like the derelict wreck that she was.
Despite the damage caused by both the Colony Laser and Asharia herself, there were still pockets of resistance holding out deep within the cavernous confines of the shipwreck. Angels both male and female, young and old were unwilling to surrender and stood defiant against the inevitable fate that awaited them. They would rather die than face the dishonor and humiliation of surrendering to inferior and evil alien heretics like those that they were fighting. They believed that they would be the ones to follow their leaders into paradise, not knowing that their leaders had already bailed on them and were not, in fact, dead.
As their man-portable weapons were extremely dangerous to Arkhan’s mind and soul, the various Mobile Suit Golems that were helping sweep the derelict of resistance were in ‘Real Mode’ so as not to get one-shotted by something that would damage their creator through their deaths. They were supported by a number of Mobile Armor Golems that would use their more powerful weaponry to carve larger paths for Arcadia’s mechanical and living boarding crews to use. The humans, elves, dwarves and beastmen that made up the living members of the ‘Space Marines’ were outfitted with everything needed for the task at hand, but even this could not save some of the more unfortunate ones from what was about to happen.
Approximately eight hours into the boarding action, a large section of the derelict’s internal structure was compressed as something massive expanded within it. The speed of this event led to over a dozen living people getting either crushed or trapped or injured as the walls and internal structures of the wrecked vessel were pushed together as something expanded inside the hulk. The only warning that they were given that this was going to happen was a single line spoken by a single Mobile Armor Golem.

That line was, “Aaaaaaaw. Pretty shiny go bye bye…”
…
Just before the event that caused such panic and such pain, a couple of Mobile Suit Golems of various types were assisting a Mobile Armor Golem, a Neue Ziel, in removing free floating debris from within a large open area inside the fallen superdreadnought. The vast majority of the debris was either dead bodies or random pieces of machinery and internal superstructure, but occasionally something they could not identify would float by. This was the case just a few moments before the event.
A glowing blue orb made of a crystalline material floated out of one of the ruined rooms. It was roughly the size of a K-Type Ball, just with no weapons or any notable features aside from it being made of a glowing blue crystal.
“What is that?” One of the MSGs, an old Zaku II Kai, pointed at the orb as it lazily floated through space.
“Dunno. Want to check it out?” a GM Striker responded with a query of its own.
“Wait. Remember our mission. If we see something that we can’t identify we get the intel team to figure it out. I don’t want to risk that thing or anything else being a bomb and sending us all to an early grave. Whatever you do, don’t touch it.” The eldest of the group, a Gelgoog Jager that was one of the survivors from the first ever summoning done by their creator, was the voice of reason and logic. If he had his way there would never be a Generic Horror Movie type situation, mostly because of his experience in dealing with unknown objects.
“But look at it. It’s so shiny!” Lastly, the Neue Ziel that was the Mobile Armor Golem that was the brawn and not the brains of the team.
“Don’t you dare!” The unnamed Gelgoog Jager yelled at the unnamed Neue Ziel.
“Pretty Pretty, Shiny Shiny. Come over to the shiny side. All are welcome, all are welcome.”
Like it was stated previously, the Neue Ziel was the brawn and not the brains. This was because it had far less intelligence than a standard Neue Ziel, or any one of Arkhan’s creations in general. It was lucky to have somehow come into existence with the highest speed, weapon output and reflexes of its kin.

“Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy……”
But it was unlucky to have been made with the intelligence of a particularly intelligent monkey.
“NO! DO NOT TOUCH! BAD BOY! BAD!” The veteran of so many battles was now furiously trying to pull the much larger and much younger and much more dumb Mobile Armor Golem away from the target of its desires.
“Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh. Me likey….”
The Neue Ziel’s manipulators moved forward and grasped the orb only for the sphere to shine even brighter and shatter into ever shrinking shards.
“Aaaaaaaw. Pretty shiny go bye bye…”
It was at that moment that the results of that object’s power became known. Sensing that something bad was going to happen, every one of Arkhan’s creations in the area fled back into the ‘Hangar’ as the idiot of a Neue Ziel suddenly grew huge. As if it was a Mobile Suit Golem suddenly entering ‘Real Mode’, the Neue Ziel grew in size to match. As it did, it shoved all of the things around it away, which included the interior superstructure of the derelict superdreadnought.
As the comms chatter lit up with panic, pain and surprise, a single moronic supersized Neue Ziel shank back down and flew out of the hole it came in through.
…
“Huh. That happened.”
“What?”
Arkhan turned to face Asharia who, despite having just puked her guts out while inside the event horizon of a supermassive black hole, looked completely fine.
“So, two things happened. One was that my Mobile Armor Golems can now embiggen themselves.”
Asharia pondered the uses this might have before asking Arkhan about the other thing.
“And the second?”
“The second thing,” Arkhan said while sighing, “is that one of my Mobile Armor Golems found this out, or rather unlocked it for everyone, and then proceeded to enlarge itself inside the wreck of the Angel’s flagship. This killed about four people, injured seven others and 2 more are trapped by the now deformed and collapsed pathways.”
Asharia was silent before asking the big question.
“It was that idiot Neue Ziel, wasn’t it?”
“Yep.”
“You should really just send it somewhere to get out of our hair.”
“We don’t treat people poorly just because they lack intelligence. It is neither its fault or mine that it is like that, and despite its insufficient intellect it is a beast in combat. Its idiocy fueled combat record has been quite impressive, so I am inclined to simply keep it in a place where it can’t hurt us or our own but has the power to hurt others we don’t like.”
“Then why not strap a hyperdrive to it and send it to fight the Angels on its own. It is, as you said, and idiot savant when it comes to combat, so why not just send it to face the ‘big meany-heads’ that are our enemies?”
Arkhan let out another sigh.
“If we can get it to stick still for the time needed to do so, then that will happen. However, I don’t have high hopes that it will work. I don’t even know if we can combine non-summoned parts with my creations.”
“It will work.”
Arkhan was unconvinced and asked Asharia how she knew it would.
“Just trust me. I have experience in things like this.”
“When?”
This time Asharia was the one to sigh as she seemed to immediately become crestfallen.
“A long, long time ago, when I took foolish actions and thought in ways that I forever afterwards wished I never did.”

It's very experimental so readers; do note. There are major changes in writing style within the series as I keep testing things out. Of course, that does not mean that the story actually deviates from its intended progress. It just means that your reading experience may fluctuate quite often... Anyways, I hope you enjoy this story. :D p.s. not sure if there will be any sex scene in this novel but the boy starts off as 7... so... long time till we get there. May have lollies though! The overgrown mansion
The main character returns to her deceased recluse uncle's home to get his effects in order. This is the beginning of a lovecraftian story inspired by somebody telling me about the Brombeermonster, a particulary nasty blackberry shrub overtaking her family's abandonned home. A backdrop for a story about eery and unexplained things if I ever heard about one. I will post the two parts I already posted on reddit; more maybe if there is interest from the community.

The Light in Death
Set in a modern city where Jesse Gil narrates his experience running a business capitalizing on his ability to heal any affliction — even death. He's forced to take on a student, Shawn Ellison, a spoiled college dropout who awakens abilities of his own, to prevent him from accidentally killing himself. As a result, Jesse must become more than just a healer. He'll need to master his power over energy: the fuel for life, the soul, and magic. I'm uploading the initial draft of each chapter so people can follow along with the story as I complete the manuscript. I'm hoping to gather interest, and potentially attract an editor. After going back to revise and edit; I will self-publish it.
