《Beast Cultivating System》Chapter 11 - Battling Qi Circulation Cultivatiors

As soon as the Qi Circulation Cultivators surrounded the battle intent ignited within Dana.
She already checked the cultivation of each one of the human cultivators and the highest is a Rank 4 Qi Circulation Cultivator, which pose no problems for her deal to with!
With her preparing to attack the weakest link, the cultivators took out a strange object which contains an eerie aura which makes her feel uncomfortable.
"System what is that?" Dana thought.
[Host that is a beast enslaving talisman, it will put a slave mark onto the beast's soul thus making them obey the holder of the talisman without hesitation.]
Dana shivered subconsciously it looks like after this she will immediately look at her new soul cultivation method, while the cultivators continued to argue on who is going to enforce the talisman onto the beast.
Dana attacked the weakest member of the group, a Rank 1 Qi Refining Cultivator.
Completely caught by surprise that the beast dares to attack them, a Rank 1 Qi Cultivator was immediately flung like a rag doll was whacked fiercely by Dana's arm.
Shocked by the power of the beast, the cultivators realized that the beast is a Rank One Qi Refining Beast, not a Rank Nine Body Refining Beast like they expected, they would, of course, noticed if they would have spent less time thinking about the awards they were going to obtain rather than focusing on the cultivation of the beast.
"The Beast seems to already be in Rank 1 Qi Refining Realm!" The skinny man muttered getting serious.
He wasn't much stronger than the man instantly defeated just then, so he fully prepared himself.
"Hmm. Just a mere surprise attack from the beast, there are several Qi Refining Realm cultivators here, and five of us are above Rank 1 Qi Refining, defeating a mere Rank 1 Qi Refining beast is simple, no matter how powerful it's bloodline is!" A tall Handsome Man which was presumably the leader of the group with him being at the highest cultivation at Rank 4 Qi Refining Realm.
Numerous cultivators murmured in agreement as they begin steadily to approach Dana.
Hmm.
She meant to put a little less forced into that blow but it looks like she is stronger than she originally thought.
Although these cultivators want to enslave her, Dana was still hesitant in killing humans, she might have killed spirit beasts before but that was because she felt no real familiarity among them having spent most of her life as a human, not mentioning that most spirit beasts may be smarter than normal animals but it is not by much!
Only beasts with rare bloodlines and high cultivation share a similar level of intelligence compared to a human, none of which Dana will likely encounter in current circumstances.

Four cultivators swiftly closed the distance between herself and them, Dana instantly went to action defeating the four relatively easy.
Although they were stronger than the previous man, they are only one rank of cultivation higher which is still insignificant in Dana's eyes as she is fully capable in defeating cultivators that are even four ranks above her.
A grave expression emerged on the remaining three human cultivators faces.
They were the strongest of the group and only were even sent to this place to escort the beast in order to prevent other cultivators in stealing their prize.
They originally thought it was beneath them to capture a Body Refining Beast but now they think they have truly underestimated this beast.
"Let's attack together, I don't believe it can defeat the three of us at once." The tall Handsome man shouted, he thought that by himself he could have defeated the four which were previously defeated however he wouldn't have been able to do it as carefree as the beast has done.
Therefore, he knew the only hope of capturing this beast is using the combined attacks of the three of them at once.
A determined gleam emerged in Dana's eyes as she stared down the three cultivators. As the three released their martial skills, Dana meets their attack with her strongest bloodline skill which has been strengthened even further after Dana formed her core; Frost Breath.
A large amount of Ice Qi gathered in her mouth as she let out a breath of ice completely crushing their combined attacks.
The three human cultivators were sent back flying, the only one remaining conscious was the leader who looked upon her with unwilling eyes.
Before the Ice Qi turned the human cultivators into Ice Sculptures Dana removed the Ice Qi which was causing havoc in each of their bodies.
Dana decided to spare them, she wasn't a merciless person in the first place and as they didn't aim for her life than she decided not to kill them which will hopefully leave an example toward others.
Under the disbelieving gaze of the leader, she ignored him, turning around ready to leave this area.
She knows more cultivators will be coming and that she is not strong enough to defeat all of them yet.
The Tall Handsome Cultivator had a relieved expression on his face, delighted that he gets to keep his life.
But just as he was about to rejoice his luck a powerful wave of Qi emerged instantly severing his and the other lives of the cultivators.
Dana was completely stunned.
What was that?
She didn't even see the attack coming, the trouble she instantly knew the individual which let off such attack was out of her league.

Just as she was wondering who it was an eerie laugh followed by an old man appeared in front of her, from the aura the man was showing he was a Ninth Peak Qi Circulation Realm Cultivator, one step away from the Houtian Realm!
"Hahaha. Those foolish minor noble families have grown some courage trying to go behind the interests of the Royal Family, it seems they need to be reminded who is the true ruler of this continent. Hmm. It seems this beast is much more valuable towards the Royal Family than thought." The rasping voice of the old man sounded.
Dana's eyes stared in disbelief at the cruelty the man inflicted on his own kind as he butchered the humans without mercy.
The old man eyes lit up as he seen the intelligence displayed in the gaze of the beast. Hmm. This beast is much more intelligent than other spirit beasts of its level, I clearly saw it sparing those ants lives.
"It looks like you are intelligent for a beast, well you probably get the meaning behind me telling you to be a good beast and allow this old man to put this slave seal on your soul.
Don't worry being a captive beast for the Royal Family has its own benefits you will be provided with all the resources you need." The old man said completely confident that the foolish beast will be at least tempted on what he is saying. But, to his shock, he sees complete unwillingness in its gaze.
Hmm.
A proud beast, but no matter how proud they always break in the end I prefer this method, anyway. The kind expression on the old mans face immediately morphed into a sinister look.
"If you want to force my hand I guess you need to see true power." As soon as the old man said this a strike containing 70% of his power launched at Dana hitting her squarely on the chest, a small wound emerged with the old man showing a surprised expression.
Which changed into anger at the fact that only a small wound emerged from his attack, embarrassing him a cultivator more than eight ranks above the beast in front of him. Strike after strike launches from the old man, with Dana struggles soon seem to be proven useless due to the sheer gaps of cultivation.
"Strong beast, just a mere Rank 1 Qi Circulation Realm beast causes me this much trouble." Gasping the beast took a lot out of him with its seeming less high defence and recovery ability.
"Don't resist now, this is merely going to be more painful towards you. Accept the slave mark and the pain goes away."
An agonizing pain fills Dana as she feels the invasion on her soul.
"System is there anything I can do?" A hopeless expression emerges in Dana's face as she continues to show incredible willpower by ignoring the invasion in her soul
[Host received a Houtain Attack Talisman from the items received from the reward for promoting towards Qi Circulation Realm. Recommends Host to use it whilst the cultivator is distracted in attempting to invade the host's soul.]
Dana finally remembered one of the prizes she received is perfect for this situation. She immediately draws the talisman and without delay crushes it, a horrifying amount of Qi blasted towards the old man which blasted him into pieces.
As the old man was occupied in attempting to invade Dana's soul to plant the beast mark he was caught completely unaware by the full strike strength of a Houtain cultivator which instantly killed him.
A few minutes later, Dana's injuries healed considerably.
I guess the vitality of a Frost Wyvern is incredible she thought as she witnesses the amazing recovery ability she possesses.
After recovering enough to move Dana searches the old man for valuables finding seven Qi Refining beasts cores ranging from Rank one to four, which she stores in her space ring.
After a few minutes of further contemplation of the events which just occurred, Dana knows that she must get stronger.
Even though she is a Frost Wyvern with an incredible bloodline it won't stop powerful cultivators which are eight ranks higher than her in defeating her, no matter how quickly she progresses.
This experience increases her determination, even more, to get stronger, after witnessing how easily the minor noble cultivators were killed she realizes she can end up like them, her fate desired by the whim of others because they are stronger.
She now knows that the strongest power in the continent, Azure Empire knows of her existence and wants to capture her.
Whilst deep in thought Dana left the area, heading towards the deeper areas of Devils Peak in order to get as strong as quickly impossible, otherwise, she may end up enslaved or worse!
She will also start cultivating using the soul cultivation method as soon as possible, the terrifying experience of the invasion of her soul will never happen again she mutters with an unwavering attitude.

“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
