Hey, it's been a while.

Ok, a long while.

Anyways, I have some news that's worth sharing and I decided to split it into a short version and a long version.

Short Version:

This story is still in hiatus for the forseeable future. However, I am still writing on this site. My First Party Member is a Slime (link below) updates at least twice a week and I don't plan on dropping it under any circumstances, real-life issues or otherwise.

Long Version:

Regarding that thing I was really vague about in my hiatus announcement, things have not gone well. On one hand, I'm very disappointed in myself, but on the other hand, I'm enjoying my life right now and I'm still optimistic about the future. Heavy stuff aside, I really regretted not writing more during the past year. I wrote a short story for the January resolution contest (link below) which ended up winning, and that helped reinvigorate my writing side. After that, I tried writing more of We Don't Want to be Main Characters, but after two weeks I only had ~7k words and I wasn't very happy with them. Writing a story centered around comedy is tough, at least for me, and that's partially why I couldn't keep up with updates before.

I decided that I wanted to write a more linear story with an actual beginning, middle and end. The story I chose is My First Party Member is a Slime. The title and summary should give you a good idea of what its about, so check it out if it interests you. After rereading this story, I think that my writing quality has improved since then...probably.
