《Death is Just a New Opportunity》Apocalypse

“...You’re the real life Gamer!” Eugene screams while pressing ‘Accept’ faster than my eyes can see. Huh, is The Gamer out already? It’s 2015 and I don’t particularly know when it started being translated. Now that I think about it, Eugene is a nerd and geek combined so if it is out he has most likely read it. I smile and nod to him. It’s good that he knows what’s going on but it might become troublesome if my enemies know my powers from reading The Gamer. With slowly raise my hand and spread my fingers. It’s about to get real in a sec. I focus on creating an Instant Dungeon and gathering energy in my hand.
New Skill: Mana Attack/10MP A skill to attack with mana and is linked to intelligence. Current Range: 10m
Interesting but I ignore it, that’s not what I’m here for. I begin slowly releasing the energy. All of a sudden without warning, the world changes. I see Eugene looking around amazed. He clearly realized what I did and although I knew what I was doing I’m still amazed. It’s like the world stilled. Completely the same yet completely different.
New Skill: ID Create A skill to make an Instant Dungeon. You can make stronger ones by increasing your skill level. Dungeon List: Empty Zombie
And the World Knew Silence
Zombies? Was zombies given to Jihan so quickly before? Honestly it’s been so long, I don’t even remember. Not to mention, I don’t think have the exact same power as the original. The GM whose controlling my powers seem new to this and still have bugs. Not to mention I think he’s incorporating some powers from fanfiction because I don’t think Jihan had Dating Sim Mode. It seems while I can take pointers from him, since our systems are different I can’t completely follow him, which I wasn’t planning on doing anyway. I can use this to my advantage though. I choose Empty and start walking out of the house. Eugene silently follows me looking at everything like it’s the first time he’s seen the world. I can’t help but chuckle at his wonder stricken look. He so busy being amazed he doesn’t even ask me where we’re going and follows me outside. Since I constantly read FanFics involving The Gamer there’s so many ways I can use these powers. Firstly though, there’s something I need to test. We end walking to a local sports shop called Champion. Finally the zombies finally brain reboots and asks what we’re doing here.
“We’re here for supplies of course. It seems you know my power and what it’s based off of. This makes everything easier for me since it means I don’t have to explain everything to you. Hopefully PJ is like that too, though I doubt it.” I say walking into the small store. The racks are filled with basketballs, footballs, soccer balls and every other type of ball you can think of. I ignore all of that and walk towards the back where I see some baseball bats. Grabbing 2 metal ones I hand one to Eugene. His eyes instantly light up, it seems he finally realized what I’m planning. As I’m about to walk out the store though Eugene speaks up.

“What about paying?” he says with a serious expression. I stare at him for a while. Ever since the fight he’s had this confident aura about him. I get that a lot of shit happen today but this personality shift is way too rapid and noticeable. It’s like he’s a completely different person. This just doesn’t make any sense.
“I get that we’re not exactly perfect civilians while making our own gang and all but stealing from local small businesses is just…” Hm, so he’s saying if it was a larger one then he wouldn’t have a problem? I nod as I don’t exactly dislike this side of him. As long as he’s willing to do what must be done when I ask it he can keep these certain traits. He’s changed too much already anyway and I don’t think it’s healthy.
“We’ll come back once we kill some zombies and money drops. You can even pay a tip if you want.” I walk out without waiting for his response. He can feel bad about it all he wants but we still need these bats. The problem is, will my skill copy the bat once we are out of the ID or will it disappear. We go into an alley close by. Good, this is close enough to go back if the bat disappears but far enough we won’t get caught by cameras appearing out of thin air. I raise my hands into the air and focus on leaving the ID.
And the World knew Sound
Without warning the stilled world started to move again. Being born in New York, the silence in my city kinda bothered me. I release a breath I didn’t know I was holding until now. Looking into my hand, I see the bat still there. I sigh in relief and move on to the next step. There’s a Walmart 2 miles from here and there I can get what I need. I place my hand on Eugene’s shoulder.
“You ready to Start the Game?” I ask with a smirk and he nods. I nod back and open up a Zombie ID.
And the World Knew Death
The world stills again. It’s silent, completely silent. We move out from the alley and then I notice it. It’s not silent, no I hear the groans. It’s getting louder and louder, as if the zombies are spawning one by one across the world. I can’t help the sinister smile smile that spread across my face. We see some zombies across the street coming out of a different alley. They look extremely ugly but I can’t wait to get up close and personal to knock some heads in. I observe the zombies to find that they are all level 5, 2 levels above me. That’s alright though, that just means more EXP. All of them have 150 HP. Knowing the situation I finally run across the street and swing my bat at the head of the 1st of 3 zombies causing 25 damage. It stumbles back a bit but recovers fast. It goes to swing at me but before it can Eugene is right behind me swinging the bat down on the its arm it tried to hit me with causing it to stumble forward. I use the opportunity to bring my bat back up swinging at his chin. He flies back, taking another 25 damage. Another zombie ends up lunging at me but with my speed I easily back up to survey the situation more.

That shit was epic! Sure we didn’t kill it yet but did you guys see that 3 hit combo! That was Batman and Robin shit right there! Is our synch also because of our 100% relationship meter? Honestly, I’ve been blaming Eugene’s craziness on my game system but maybe Eugene is just genuinely crazy. That guy he beat up literally looked like he wanted to die on the ground. I wonder what he did to him.
“I’ll handle 2 while you get the other one.” I order him and instantly go on the offensive. As Eugene pulls 1 of the zombies away so we don’t get in each other way. Sprinting back towards the zombies, I fire off a quick mana beam at the weakend zombie causing a solid 20 damage. Before he can retaliate I swing my bat cracking on the side of the head. I kick the bastard away when his buddy finally decides to join the party. Before I can fully face the other zombie it swings at me, clawing me for 15 damage. I pay it back with a 20 damage mana beam to the head. First off, why in the fuck do they have claws in the first place. Did none of these people cut their nails before they died or something. I use my superior speed to start running circles around these fucks. Ducking under a slash from Zom-Fuck 1, I use the opportunity to swing at the bastards knees as hard as I can. I hear a satisfying crunch as the zombie falls.
New Skill: Power Swing Multiplies damage by 80% with weapons
Ohhhh, if he can feel pain, that HAS to hurt. His knees are not supposed to be facing that way. Well, at least now I have a faster way to kill these fucks. The other tries to sneak attack me from the side but I scoff at its attempt. I swiftly dodge but before it can retract its arm from the swing I use Power Swing on the poor guys knees. I hear another SNAP and another one bites the dust. Backing up, I admire my work. Both aren’t dead and are still trying to kill me by crawling. I don’t bother using power swing, choosing to save mana. Those bitches take 10 mana a pop so I should conserve them. I use my regular swings to the head to finish them both off.

“When you shot it in the head, was it an instant kill?” I ask. If it was, then that could make all of this a lot simpler. He nods in confirmation. An evil smile spread across my face as one of the 6 zombies get too close. I raise my hand like I’m preparing a mana beam but instead of releasing it, I spin the mana in my hand. When released, it goes straight through the zombies head. Ohhhh that instant kill feels good, it sends shivers down my back.
New SKill: Spinning Mana Arrow
Adds piercing to Mana Attack
I look towards Eugene and nod. He nods back and we speed towards the soon to be dead once again zombies. I call inventory in my head and the space in front of me wavers. I place the bat in and it disappears in front of my eyes. That’s so fucking cool! Now with both hands free I run up to a zombie placing my palm on it’s head, releasing the arrow right into it’s skull, killing it instantly. A zombie ends up flanking me but Eugene appears out of nowhere like my shadow killing with his own attack. I seem to only have 50 mana left. This new attack takes 15 instead of 10 so that means I have 3 kills left. I lean back to dodge another one of the undead fuckers. I grab it’s arm, pulling it right into my palm filled with glowing power. Another one down, but this is way too slow...this is going to take a long time. Eugene seems to have taken care of the rest and there's only one more. I walk towards and slowly place my palm out, destroying the last one. It seems instead of getting close and shooting he’s sitting back unless he needs to get closer. I would do that too but I fear my dexterity is too low and I’ll end up wasting precious mana. I seem to have leveled up again. I place my 5 points into speed bringing it up to 35. I still have one more shot out but I take out my bat anyway. I send a bit of mana towards my eyes as I smile for an effect as it glows purple.
“We’re not stopping until we reach Walmart understand? Now, Let The Games Begin.
