Chapter 7 - Lottery Part 2
I was about to spin the lottery again, however, before I could, I was interrupted by a bright green light which practically blinded me. Can a soul be blinded? Anyways it seems that my All Language Knowledge had finished preparing.
"Hmm, I guess I'll get this skill first."
As I said that, the green ball of light flew into my chest, a warm feeling spread throughout my body. I started speaking different languages at high speed, a language like an ancient mountain bearing down on you, a language like a crackling fire, one like a great waterfall, one gave the feeling of watching nature grow in a time lapse. After about a dozen different languages, they changed from strange concepts to something I'm more familiar with. Ones that could be spoken normally with your tongue.
"Es kin trua inaas." "Dias truc mekki?"
Making sure my mouth had finally stopped moving, I tried to digest what I just learned.
"So it forcibly adapts the user to language by making the user speak every language at random. What a novel idea." I muttered.
"Wel, it doesn't really matter anyway, I mean language knowledge is pretty much a standard in every otherworld transfer."
Now then let's get back to the lottery!
Selecting Book under lottery, once again a bunch of words sped quickly by. Before stopping.
"Kindness Factions Guidebook, Art of Garden Roses? What the fuck? Did I kick a puppy in my last life and I am forever cursed with bad karma?"
Looking at the book in my hand, I was dumbfounded. I quickly flipped through the book before I was dumbfounded once again.
"Hey, Wisdom Sama what are druids in this world?"
The information flashed through my head and for the third time I was dumbfounded.
Why? Because the books full name is Kindness Druids Guidebook, Art of War Spells, Garden of Blood Roses.
When one thinks of druids, they think of friendly, the sons of the jungle, coexisting harmoniously with nature, absent of desire and self-sufficient.

However, in truth, they are essentially terrorists. As most people know, Druids worship nature. To simplify it, anything natural is good and anything that is man-made is bad. Because of these teachings, most druid organizations detest something manmade, they believe that everyone should leave cities, return to nature and become vegetarians. As you may guess not everyone can agree to become monks. Because of this most druids use extreme methods to spread their teachings and now even peaceful druid organizations are squashed whenever they spring up.
The spellbook I got from the lottery, is from a rather extreme druid faction. It summons a carnivorous plant called a blood rose. It uses its thorny vines to restrict and leech people of their blood. As the blood is drained from them, blood red roses bloom, dyed with the drained blood. If you think this spell is f**ked, then you're right. In fact, it is the signature spell of a faction of dark druids and they are even more f**ked than normal druids.
Druids still believe that protecting nature is good, however dark druids just went f**k it and started weaponizing plants and animals through repeated forced evolution. They are basically mad scientists. If I were to use this spell I'll definitely be flagged by several large countries and hunted down.
However, there are research notes in this book, if I replicate these situations, I could boost the evolution of my plants, allowing them to take more combat specialized evolutions and boost my dungeon's growth. However, the actual spell is completely unusable, not only do I not have the capabilities to cast it, I'll almost certainly be killed if I do.
"Well let's shelve this idea for now."
I once again rolled the lottery, as before words quickly passed by and soon the result was clear.
"Ancient Alvish Rune Engraving?"
Skimming through this book, I found that this is what most novels would call, the super secret ancient lost cultivation technique which is also so legendary that everyone has heard of but no one actually knows how to use.

But first I need to describe who the Alvs were.
The Alvs were a highly advanced species who were distantly related to the Elves, however, their civilizations were destroyed in the past due to unknown reasons. Any Alv relic that is found could make Superpowers from another continent to attack for no reason other than to get the relic. Purely because the potential progress a country can achieve through studying such a relic is staggeringly high.
As I said before this world is around the middle ages with some places with technological progress of the Industrial Revolution. However, this is not necessarily true because instead of our worlds technological progress which is, manpower to water power to steam to electricity resulting in I wonder what I can do with this energy? This world skipped steps 1 through 4 and went straight to 5 because in this world mana exists. So if you give a Gnomish Engineer enough mana, he could create a rocket or a dimension teleporter, but they can't because they don't have the mana. This is why technological development is at such an awkward place. They simply don't have the energy to sustain inventions, so they're stuck at the Industrial Revolution stage. The Alvs fixed this problem, however, the way to create infinite mana was lost when their entire civilization burned to the ground.
As I know from my tutorial run, runes are already widely used, however, they're stuck at only being able to put them on non-mana resistant material. They can't be used on a living being due to lack of test subjects willing to surrender themselves to a research that kills or cripples 100% of test subjects. Most mages that research this kidnap people to fund their research.
This book has both how to successfully engrave runes on non-living objects and living beings.
With this I can engrave/tattoo magic runes on a living being of acceptable power, to give it special skills. Whether it's just a simple strength boost or increasing your mana regeneration, this book includes special runes to increase power for Iron to Gold rank, with no restrictions on species.
This book is absurdly good, even if I were to just use the runes for non-living objects, I would still be able to improve my dungeon tremendously. With this, I can craft a trap that can easily kill Gold Ranks!
However, it once again brings up the problem of mana. I only have enough mana to sustain 4 Iron rank runes or a Bronze Low Rank at once and that's if I were to put all my mana generated into runes. If I want to be able to improve at a reasonable rate, then I would only be able to have 2 active Iron Rank runes at any given moment.
Dungeon summons don't generate their own mana, they get it from me their dungeon. That's why I have the Mana Link Skill. Its to feed every single creature in my dungeon. Even if I didn't feed them my mana and created a working ecosystem instead, the creatures with runes still have to feed the rune with mana if they want to use it and they'll have to do that by killing other creatures and absorbing their mana. Which were mine in the first place, so I might as well just obediently hand over the mana.
But, that's under the assumption that I want to keep these runes constantly active. There are runes that allow a person to instant cast a spell so long as mana is given. So I could theoretically make a spider occasionally shoot fireballs.

Well, I might as well start dungeon building.
