chapter 47: Relationship
Level 152 name: ???(more information required) Rank: war-beast(greater)
Estimated life force: 1570 mana: 5168 +(600-unknown modifier)
Estimated combat damage: 61-608 estimated defensive ability: 608
Weapon damage: ??? (more information required) armor protection: ???
“it seems that I still need to learn a few things before this becomes remotely useful.” Scitus thought as he inspected his analyze ability. The power was an extension of his divine sight, it gave him insight on other beings by comparing it to things he has seen before. The armor was far beyond anything he had ever seen and the man’s weapon felt even more powerful than the armor. Fortunately for Scitus, a persons life force and their estimated combat ability could almost always be estimated because of Sia’s enormous shows of power.
"why have you brought this army when I only wanted to talk," Scitus yelled so that his approaching enemies could hear. They ignored him and continued to charge forward, the remaining original five men sharpened their gazes and launched forward. Scitus did not move, the soldiers were now only feet away and had already arched back to land as heavy a hit as possible.
The small man who was presumably the leader swung his might sword and a loud clang resounded throughout the battlefield. The smaller man’s allies could see their leader shaking for the sheer force he had hit. The other soldiers immediately understood what had happened but their momentum was too great and they were unable to stop themselves for hitting Scitus’s barrier.
Even in her weakened state the vampire was many times stronger than the five men in front of him and even she required several hits to break his shield and because of her special constitution, that allowed her to feed on mana, it was the all the more simple.
The only thing Scitus had to worry about were powerful mages who could easily undo his poorly casted shield or the leader of the battalion who may have been strong enough to deal with his shield.
With his newly created analyze ability he was able to identify five mages and three other soldiers only slightly below the battalion leader in level. His ability also allowed him to easily count one-thousand-five-hundred-and-thirty-two soldiers approaching.
After only a few moments a wave of soldiers crashed into his barrier, one after another they attempted to tear down Scitus’s barrier, but none could even create a dent much less an opening. After ten minutes without any change, three men approached, one of the men was the battalion leader Azias.
"I only came to talk," Scitus said calmly as his goblin soldiers encircled him to protect him from any possible attack. They were cautious for their god's life was at stake. Their god, however, was the same and held a cold calm that would chill anyone who didn't know him. he always had a demeanor that implied victory, no matter how seemingly dire the circumstances, Scitus would remain calm. Scitus was often scared of the circumstance he found himself in and worried for the future but he had died once long ago, not physical but his spirit was all but destroyed at one point and ever since he had found it difficult making facial expressions. In this new world, this scar from his past had become a solid pillar of strength and confidence In his people. If their god showed no fear then neither would his people and even in the face of overwhelming odds, the group of twelve goblins stood firm and without fear.

“we have nothing to talk about” Azias said with a firm gravely tone. “is that so, then I’d like to ask for you and your small army here to allow me to leave.” One of the young men to the left of Azias laughed as if he had heard the funniest thing in his life. The older one to the right appeared to hold in his laughter but was unable to contain a few chuckles.
Azias rose his blade high as if ready to strike, “do you know what happens when a mortal kills a god?” Scitus looked on waiting for Azias to answer his own question. “the mortal can either take his place or remain mortal if they chose to remain mortal, that gods territory completely disappears. .” Scitus saw as Azias’s mana was slowly being depleted and at the same time, the blade grew brighter and brighter with each passing second. After only a few moments the saturation was visible to even the goblins and that is when Azais struck the shield. A gust of wind cut the air and a loud deafening shock exploded the surroundings. Some of the soldiers were forced to take a step back. The shield shattered almost instantly and for a moment everyone was in too much shock from the strike that they didn't move but they quickly gained their wits and charged forward.
With full force, several soldiers hit an invisible barrier causing their necks to creak and their spins to twist. Hundreds of men fell to the ground clutching their heads in pain.
“it only takes me fifteen seconds to make a new shield and I can maintain two at once.” Scitus slowly expanded his shield pushing the fallen soldiers faintly back into their allies. Azias and the two other men tried to resist the shield from pushing them back but its power was to create to stop without momentum and after only a few seconds they were pushed fifteen feet back. They had returned to square one. Azias twitched as he hit the shield with only his fist. “You dare mock me!!!”
“Izac!!!!” he shouted to the younger man, “Milken!!!” he shouted to the older man. The three nodded to each other and charged forward with all their might and began tearing the shield down. In only a few seconds they were able to break the shield and immediately began working on the second shield and desperately tried to remain in place but were once again pushed back. Once they tore through that shield, Scitus had managed to create a third shield.
“what are your men doing!!!!” Azias shouted to the men all around him who appeared content in simply watching, son enough several men started to help in destroying the shield but due to its small radius only a few hundred men could assist effectively. The archers shot their arrows and the spearmen attempted to pierce it but no matter how much they all tried, it would only shorten their time by a second or two.

Azias looked to one of the soldiers nearby “get the mages!!!!” he shouted, the solider quickly left and returned a few seconds after. “they can’t!!!”
“why the fuck not!!!!” Azias shouted, the soldier appeared terribly frightened but not because of Azias. His fear stemmed from some great terror that he found difficult to reveal. “Spit it out!!!”Azias shouted as he continued to pummel the shield. The soldier trembled as he spoke, "lo-ookk, uu-p” he managed to say.
“what?” Azais said softly as he obeyed the young soldier's words. Above him was a blinding light that he had failed to notice due to his complete focus on the shield. It was an unimaginable horror brought to life by Scitus. "a blue sun. ”Azias said aloud as if entranced by the ball of fires majesty.
“that is correct” Scitus responded calmly as if there wasn't a major battle for his life. "red flame is actually quite cold compared to blue, well this is true when burning oxygen." Scitus calmly began to explain the simple science behind flames as the small sung above him slowly began to grow larger and larger. The five mages were incredible, and the fireball was well below their expertise and should have been easily undone but Scitus kept feeding the ball of fire with an endless supply of mana making it near impossible for the mages to quell the fire.
“it only takes me a second to drop that ball.” Azias was, for the first time since the battle began, beginning to get worried. A ball of fire of that magnitude, if released, would destroy more than just the small army, it could spread for miles before ending its spread and would certainly reach the godless city. All the while Scitus kept digging into Azias’s head with his words. “the heat alone could kill all of you, and if you manage to survive, you won’t have any oxygen left to breathe. Asphyxiation is a painfully slow death. in only three minutes you’ll fall unconscious, in four, your mind will be forever damaged. After ten minutes, you’ll be dead.”
“shut up!!!” Azias shouted as he pounded against the shield as Izac and Milken began to feel scitus’s words consume them with fear. “shut up!!!” Azias shouted despite Scitus’s continued silence. “shut up!!!”
Scitus eyed Azias, with disappointed eyes. He thought the godless to be fearless humans who dared defy the gods, but they were nothing but dogs that ran with their tails between their legs. "no, perhaps not all of you are without conviction." Kaya and Selene had both seen his power and yet not once did they appear to yield to him. they both appeared willing to die for their beliefs, for their freedom. Azias and all the men and women attacking him were different, they appeared to fear Scitus, they wanted to run and soon they did begin to retreat. The mages had stopped casting anti-magic the arrows had stopped coming, the spear attacks lessened. Slowly everyone began to disperse and run away from Scitus in desperation.
“you lack conviction.” Scitus softly said and Azias, as if remembering something terrible, fell to his knees. “who the fuck are you to tell me that.”
“I’ve seen enough.” The mighty blue ball of fire ascended into the heavens and easily tore through Scitus’s third shield causing a sudden eruption of heat to spread through the small plains and causing a searing heat to burn the backs of everyone present. The fireball rose and rose until it exploded with a majestic grace for all the oasis to see. The lizardfolk to the east, the elementals to the north, the lamia to the west, the fairies to the south and of course the kingdom of monsters, they had all seen the mighty ball of fire shatter into thousands of fiery pieces. It was beautiful and terrifying all at once.
There was only one being in their minds capable of showing such astounding force, The God Of Monsters.
"For now, this is our relationship "Scitus slowly extended his shield to encompass a hundred-foot radius, he and his twelve goblins casually left the battlefield and headed towards their true destination.
The somwhere deeper into the corrupted forest.
