Chapter 217: Quest Boss
================================
Following the command, 70% all of the Cyclones Units scattered in many different directions and started to disengage their Greyrock Bases, and fully equip into being a jet plane. This was utilizing the speed and the maneuverability of the Cyclones but consumes a lot of precious fuel (fire stones) on their wind chambers.
After all, Cyclones rely on their Greyrock bases to cancel out gravity and remain afloat in midair without using anything.
But now that they’ve disengaged their bases…
A full aerial dogfight was impending to happen.
Back on the sky, Marshal D’Catch glared at the incoming dots of Cyclones. Although it can be said that they have the aerial advantage, it was still farfetched to say that they can win with ease. After all, he only has a limited number of Cyclones while the Blue Card Legion had at least 20 times of theirs.
Marshal deepened his frown. He wouldn’t give up just with this kind of play.
He stretched out a hand and then commanded, “Stab them on the back.”
Right after he spoke, Siva inside the all-viewing sphere gestured a left hand that lifted thin air. Akhenaton’s actions also translated it and the descending meteors suddenly stopped and on it were hundreds of Cyclones awaiting orders.
Their engines ignited and bursts of strong winds that left trails of burning fire in the dark sky erupted on the islands and left the grounds.
XIU! XIU! XIU!
Over two hundred of blending black colored Cyclones flew and went into many different directions. The ascending Golden painted Cyclones of The Legion were caught off guard as they’ve already pass through the two meteors when the enemy units flew and started firing from behind them.
In just a single moment, many Cyclones burned in the sky and plummeted down towards the horizons.
“Ambush! Cried one of the Squad Captain-rank pilots.
The Cyclones broke formation and turned their bodies around in a steep arc to get away from the dead zone.
Some of the ambushing Cyclones of the Black Mustache Unit even went straight towards the warships surrounding Apus Epirus. Their goals were simple: burn down or at least aggressively pressure the warships of Apus Epirus.
The element of surprise was on their side.
“H-How is this…” Kladis was aghast. “That bastard D’Catch, he used the meteors as cover for this sneak attack!”
The two islands then started to rise up again and although it was slower than when it was descending, it was moving in a way as if it was trying to block the sight of Akhenaton from the castle base.
“This son of a bitch!” Kladis raised his head and the shining golden deity in the distant sky was gradually concealed on his plain view. “I will never forgive you!”
And as if hearing these words, Siva, whose eyes were burning with ferocity while looking at the expression of the man on a holo-panel on his vision, opened his mouth and murmured:
“Even if you don’t forgive me, I will still make sure that you will suffer all the pains that you deserve.” Right as he spoke, he saw the swarm of buzzing bees trying to get around him. He said, “I will leave those small fries to you, Marshal.”
On a holo-panel on his vision, D’Catch bowed down in a respectful manner and replied, “I’ll take care of it.”
With a blink, the holo-panel disappeared and Siva then focused his gaze towards the castle base.
He raised his right hand that which Akhenaton also followed. The staff in his hand began to transform into a spear with a sword-like pointed end.

In a glance, it would look like a double-edged sword with a ridiculous long handle.
As the two islands covered the view, Kladis looked at a camera holo-panel on his player window.
He saw Akhenaton’s actions and his brows twitched as he guessed what it was trying to do.
When it saw its left hand in a ‘five’ towards the castle and its right hand lifting a spear to its shoulders…
His mind as he yelled out in panic, “All ships! Brace your shields for impact!”
It was a command that jolted the lives of the Mages responsible for that said action.
Siva, on the all-viewing sphere, hissed the words with anger, “You have to pay dearly for hurting her! And more than that, you will have to pay with your life for threatening my brother!”
Akhenaton’s body shifted, turned, his entire weight put on its shoulder, arms, and then… into the hips…
CHUU…!!
He threw the spear downwards.
*****
“Shit! That’s just both cool and frightening! I can’t believe Siva would actually throw in an entire island like a meteor!”
A Cyclone with a basic paintjob hovers above the dome of the massive barrier erected by the Shield Mages in Alexandria.
In his position in the sky, he was directly above the floating Battleship whose basic cannons and even its BM Cannons all pointed down and bombarding the transparent dome.
“It’s not going to be long now before the Barrier and Support Mages collapse.”
The weight of the Cyclone isn’t a joke. When it hovers in midair with its systems all turned off, it doesn’t emit any signal and also serves as an anchor for any group that would be coming from midair.
It was this reason why Cyclones had many good uses.
The only downside would be its storage requirements and the [fuel] consumption that it uses.
For storage, there would be three options: First is to store it on a warehouse, second is buy an exclusive Spatial Artifact from an Enchanter who’s willing to even sell one, or third… is to install the [Capsule Function] on it that costs hundreds of thousands of Zentra, if not millions just to get it.
“I have to move fast!”
Staring at the massive Battleship below him that kept bombarding the dome, Volt swallowed a mouthful of courage and allowed the cool wind hit his face to calm his chaotic beating heart.
After heaving a sigh, he jumped down and spread his arms wide. He didn’t dare to activate his flight gear for fear that he will be discovered by the units that was on the deck of the battleship.
His goal right now is to infiltrate the base and destroy this giant ship if possible.
Activating the [Polar Mastery] Skill Set, the Dragunov disintegrated from his body as soon as it appeared and he cast a hand towards an unsuspecting NPC guarding the highest platform on the top deck.
FLASH!
20m from the NPC’s head, Volt vanished from the sky and appeared behind the victim. He didn’t have to bring out any item or do anything because once the [Heart of Dragunov] had been charged it can use the instant movement skill twice while the remaining charge can be used to stun three enemies.
That said, he only touched the man’s neck and the charges that was still rotating on The Heart of Dragunov electrocuted the poor victim.
“Whew…” Volt heaved a sigh and gentle brought down the unconscious NPC. “You won’t be waking any time soon so just stay there for me.”
Volt then looked at the entrance close to him and then opened the lid to see the tunnel leading down towards the interior of the ship.

“There should be some keys for a ship with this tech.”
Having thought about it, Volt bent down and began to frisk the unconscious NPC. He also took out the man’s communicator on his ear as well as the ID-Tag with a Key Card clamped on his shirt.
“So your name is Carlos? With B-Class Access… nice.”
Volt took a rope and tied the man on the railings and also wore the uniform that the man used.
While he was doing these, he couldn’t help smiling.
“I feel excited for some reason. It’s like I’m starring on my own James Bang Movie.”
It was a famous movie franchise.
When he was done, he looked back at the half-nude unconscious and strapped NPC and made a gesture of apology before throwing a blanket at the man.
After that, he went down the hatch and glanced at the hallway. He took the east wing and used the auricle on his other ear to scan the ship.
“Damn. This thing is really expensive but with it comes these cool and killer features.”
The Auricle had such a very useful [Scan] function that can be overused for many purposes without paying any kind of steep prices.
It can scan almost anything, create a minimap, make video calls, and even surf the net.
Such a technology was millions of Zentra in prices.
“Alright, I now have 300m circle around me. Let’s get down to business.”
Volt headed towards the engine room.
After all, there’s just ship that would run if its heart had been pierced from within.
But before he could even take his tenth step, he heard a loud sound akin to that of a glass window hit by a baseball, shattering under an intense strike.
“Did the dome collapse? Shit, I better hurry!”
*****
“Focus shields!” Kladis yelled and right after he spoke, bright lights erupted from the small castles from the floating islands around Apus Epirus.
In but just a moment, these lights formed into a dome and then combined into a unified dome with 13 layers.
Seeing this, the soldiers of The Legion became happy but there was neither a smile nor a sign of gladness on their Supreme Commander’s expression.
“This barrier consumes the Mana Stones’ energy a lot faster… at this rate, the teleportation circle will have to take a longer time to charge up.”
Earlier, Kladis had ordered the preparation to teleport away but charging the necessary amount of Mana to use the magic needed the Mana Stones. Alas, the impending attack of Akhenaton threatened to destroy the castle and so he had to compromise.
BANG!
Right at the exact moment the 13-layered shield dome of Apus Epirus had formed, a frightening explosion of blunt sound of metal against metal erupted above their heads.
Kladis’ expression was grim because at that one single moment that he had blinked, the spear Akhenaton had thrown actually struck the shield dome’s 6th layer.
“Just one attack and it already penetrated 6 layers?!”
Every member of The Legion was aghast. Kira and all the more, Kladis, felt the horror of an enraged Elder God…
Kira wanted to berate the man but she didn’t because she knew that given this guy’s pride and his abilities, as well as his status and position, even she on his shoes would have chosen the same choice he made.
But receiving these devastating attacks of an angry Elder God was also one thing.
“Perhaps, we forgot one very important thing…” Kira suddenly thought of something. “We’ve been so used to fighting monsters and alien bosses as enemies but we have never fought someone who had an identity as Donar. We forgot… to treat him as a boss enemy!”
Right.
Boss enemies only appear when they’re on a quest or a mission. Whenever a boss enemy appears, intense fights would always take place.
Now, however, they actually forgot that they’re still on a mission and the signs of a Boss Enemy appearing were already there, yet, they failed to recognize it.
“We were wrong. The boss enemy for our [Round Table Quest] isn’t some monster, it’s this Donar! It makes sense, the harder and bigger the rewards, the stronger the quest’s boss enemy!”
As Kira gasped, Kladis realized it as well. But it was already too late now for he was the one who invited the disaster to befall Apus Epirus.
Having the [Eyes of Origins] was just an advance move to save some time searching and planning for other ways to solve the quest in their plate.
If they handed her over earlier, they’d only have to work around the matter of solving their next move on the quest but it would not ultimately fail the quest.
If they stopped the attack in Alexandria, they’d only risk the possibility of their intentions being discovered by their competitions, but since the infiltration group was already there, they would only buy more time but the quest wouldn’t fail and their task in the city would still succeed.
And yet… he just had to use his pride to burn his fury for not getting his hands on Scion to provoke this Elder God’s wrath.
“God damn it! Damn it all!”
What he said and did wasn’t actually necessary but his pride and his reasoning had been blurred. Who wouldn’t be enraged when everything in their plans are still going according to their pace but it just have to be tipped over by just one single name: Donar.
And that’s not even the worst part. The worst part is, in the middle of his enjoyment with Scion, Donar just had to have the perfect to ruin everything else!
What more… that same Donar is the one bringing in the meteor and also the one who’s forcing them to on the edge of their wits.
“He ruined everything!” Kladis cursed in his heart.
Donar is still an Elder God and he failed to see the possibility that the boss enemy of their quest would come knocking on their doors to soon.
Weren’t boss enemies supposed to appear close at the end of the quest?
“And yet there were no rules saying they can’t appear in the middle of the quest…”
Kladis had realized too late and could only take steps forward because backing up now would make them abandon the most important part of their task in the Walled City of Alexandria.
“If we retreat, then Zaza and Redeye would be taken prisoner, or perhaps, even hostages. We can’t let The Union get the upper hand over the Providence Quest.”
Gritting his teeth, he could only take forward steps.
BANG!
With the rejection power of the barrier, the spear that penetrated up to the 6th layer was pulled out of the dome layer and bounced back twirling, creating strong winds as it flew away.
But in midair, a large golden figure caught the spear in the body and when everyone saw that figure, it was as if their world had begun to end.
Kladis yelled, “Hold onto something!”
The spear in Akhenaton’s hand flew at a distance of 2km when it was blasted off by the barrier dome but as it rotated their like helicopter blade, it was still caught by Akhenaton in its body.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH…!!!
That one loud roar carried a sound akin to that of a monster of apocalypse, a sound eclipsing all other form of sounds of rage and hate.
In but a single moment’s time, that golden spear in Akhenaton’s hand turned into countless motes of golden sandy particles and then suddenly formed an enormous hammer in but a blink of an eye.
Marshal D’Catch, in the sky, sprang into action, “All Cyclone Units, retreat! Akhenaton is attacking.”
As Akhenaton descended, the formed Godhammer on his hand also finalized its transformation. His left hand joined below the right, and when Akhenaton was just 200m away from the castle base, the hammer that sized 500m…
Bluish white electric current flashed on the golden idol’s hand and then traveled on the long handle of the hammer until finally reaching the head where it gathered and shined.
Not only that, Siva also activated the weapon ability when this golden Godhammer descended!
«Hammer Blast»
BOOM!
Like an explosion of an atomic bomb, the sound of the Godhammer hitting the barrier resonated within the nearest 30km and a bright ring of impact spread to where the barrier and weapon met… along with the brightening of the sky as the Eternal Night Curse shrunk along with the descent of the false god f an Emperor.
Every person around them all felt their ears rung and a continuous sound of a steady tone blocked all other sounds from coming.
Not one soul was exempted. Even the warships closest to the castle base were blasted off their anchored positions when this attack connected.
What more are the lighter Cyclones?
They were all blasted away!
Following that attack, one layer after another of the dome cracked and shattered. Of all the sounds that could bring terror to every member of The Legion inside the castle base, what they most dreaded the most was the sight of the 9th layer shattering.
Only when it reached the 10th layer did the attack stopped, leaving a cracked surface that began to heal from the surface.
Kladis held on the merlon and steadied himself.
He swiped the air, and a panel with the castle’s overall specks in it appeared.
“Transfer all energy to shield repair. Change shield defense properties to anti-sound and anti-quake damage priority. Akhenaton can’t pass through the 13th layer of our shield.” Through his shaky voice, he gave the orders and modified his castle’s defense. “Attention all ships! Focus fire on Akhenaton… now!”
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Their shield endures…!!
The Legion is fighting head-on with Akhenaton!
