Chapter 415: God, Save the Planet
================================
Rex was in the sofa, the garage outside in a mess because of the packages.
The houses at both sides of his unit were already sold and their inhabitants already fled with twice the money when their houses were initially bought.
Rex’s reconstruction of his unit(s) was on its way.
Manang Fe, perhaps because of her sense of duty or her fear of her McCullers twins and Doctor Martinez have never visited him back even once.
Rex didn’t know why but he had a feeling.
AG never contacted him as well.
“Cortana.”
[Boss.]
“How was the contract with the new security of the Townhouse Subdivision?”
[Proceeding smoothly, sir. We’ve received an email from our good lawyer that they have dispatched an executive-class security detail in the nearest five blocks on our location. All development projects in the area by the government have been cancelled and the NGOs and LGOs are now cooperating with our Company in closing all other establishments of hostile entities within the radius.]
Siva was still gazing intently at his holo–panel, not minding the reports of the “secretary” Cortana that stood on his left side acting like a waitress.
“What about the arrangements for our neighbors and this subdivision?”
[Aside from our allies, all possible hostile entities have been given the scare and warning from our Anonymous Units.]
Siva smiled, “Good.” then glanced over at the face in the projector-TV displaying the face of Ethan as the news of his bounty became a sensation to the world and the business sector.
“With the game world calculations and monitoring of our Echelon Network, how much processing resources can you invest into maintaining our assets in the stocks market?”
[The overall processing resources that will be use are 1.235485% of my total hardware capacity.]
Rex glanced over the “items” outside the in the garage and then looked back at Ethan on the holo-panel TV.
“Prioritize on the acquisition of quantum processor units and if we have to assemble them here, order them and do not hesitate to invest our stock assets to our main project.”
After he spoke, Rex looked at the design on the holo-panel in front of him.
In it was a design of a new electronic gadget with the label being a gadget for equipping like a normal everyday accessory.
Rex clearly planned to compete with all mainstream consumer products company for electronics.
On a panel window behind it, there was a diagram of his plans… where the goal was acquiring what was stolen from him and the vessel was Matthew, who lived next door.
“With this device providing us a sonar scan, finding it will be a lot easier. I can’t get out of this place yet but he can and this will be good enough.”
Rex wasn’t aware of what [form] it took after it was taken away from him but he knew that if he doesn’t get it back his mental instability will only worsen. At the worst-case-scenario, he might even destroy by accident because of this worsening weakness.
“I can feel it, Cortana…”
[…]
“…the more time I spend in Terroa, the stronger his pull towards my sanity. The more I use his hand to destroy my enemies, the greater the power he gets from my pain.”
There are three parts of Siva’s [Immortality]…
The first was the Mortal from Earth, innocent and a bit naïve… weak and fragile, easily susceptible to the slightest of provocations and emotional spurs.
The second was the Immortal who lived a long life as a wandering teacher... who didn’t care about the war the Gods and Devils until he was dragged by the events that led to his ascension.
And the third, the ascended Immortal… first of its kind, beyond even to the grand design of Janus who was supposed to be the one who controlled fate and destiny; He was a [Trinity God], one who broke the rules of the universe…
……one who was not bound by any of the rules of the world...
……one who had the most potential for everything!
—but this [God] was corrupted.
“I know it now…” he whispered, and Cortana took it a sign to put it —this reflection— into archive.
“...the frightening truth when DNI-Therapy and the maximum potential of the overclock of the game world of Terroa. If one doesn’t have an anchor to the real reality, one cannot know which reality is real and which is not. Once this idea is implanted into the mind, everything will already be lost and a complete recovery……… is impossible.”
“That’s why we have to move fast.”
“I have to find Baron as fast as possible.”
The [God] in him was corrupted by Mefisto during the War of the Braves and it was Terra who saved his mind by forcefully separating that [Siva] to the main mind of ‘Siva’ —of Rex Kingsley— by using a protocol that can only be used once.
(AN: Vol6-Ch18..... and of the precedent chapters in Vol3 and Vol4… every time Siva was in about to have a mental breakdown or something, there will always be that prompt asking him to recover his [memories].)
Mankind’s technology was frightening and what is even more terrifying is the very reason that which drives this technology to move forward and further develop and evolve.
What was the reason why Terroa was created?
What is the reason why this technology was made?
Who made it?
Who started it?
What started it?
When had it all begun?
When will it end?
How will it end?
He didn’t know the answers to these questions but he had a feeling of knowing who will end it.
Him.
Prematurely or in time; whether he will be the one to end it knowingly or not; whether he would even be aware of it or not… he does not know. What he knows and what he felt is that this corrupted God of Destruction —[Siva]— had the power to do it.
And right now, it was getting harder and harder for him to control his impulses and he was afraid that if he loses out of control with an untimely trigger, just like how Sefirah did it back then during the War of the Braves, he was afraid… very afraid… that he was yet to secure Baron and that he was yet to get Samantha’s memories out of the Memory Archive.
—I don’t even know is this is going to work…
As such, he could only do his best.
He doesn’t have the money so he utilized Cortana to the fullest and ‘cheated’ his way into the Stock Markets… creating a top-of-the-line company that will contend with the leading electronics companies in the planet.
“Time is an enemy.”
He didn’t know how and when he will lose control but while he was still in control, he will build a shelter for both Samantha and Baron… he’ll buy all of the components, no matter how expensive they are, and he will bring them, Sam and his parents, back to Earth… back to reality… using the greatest technologies of humanity at his disposal.
As for the designs themselves, he already had it.
Maki and Galatea’s “Human Society” were 200+ years more advanced than the real world’s Earth and because of the favor of sheltering the last of mankind the two guardians of humanity had agreed to give in to his propositions.

Of course such talks were smoothly sealed by an [Unbreakable Vow] that Siva will never share this technology to anybody else.
—which didn’t apply to the real world.
[Boss, just so you know, some of the requirements we have initially hypothesized to be needed in this project are all Military-grade, with some even being rumoured Top-Secret Technologies. If we are to do it legally to avoid mishaps, we will have to get inside the World Government Military.]
“I know.” This was one of his problems. He knew that there are people out there trying to kill him like Pegasus… and he also had suspicions that the World Government are also liable to the things that are happening to him… and he also knew that he can’t openly tell the world where Rex Kingsley is.
“That’s why I can only ask them for help in this.”
—Red Metal, Thorn, and Marshal D’Catch…
As for Red Metal’s role to his plans, it was actually the biggest and most important one of them all.
That’s why he can’t thank him enough for this.
“As such, we also have to finish this renovation of the units and transfer all assets in here.”
This townhouse subdivision was going to be his main headquarters. While all the labor and all the problematic production of his ‘products’ are treated outside, all the people relevant to his schemes will be gathered in this place… for protection.
Playing stocks…
Designing products…
Managing the company…
Finding the right people to give power to…
The Asgard’s managements…
Cultivating his in-game military forces…
Finding Baron…
Dealing with enemies…
Keeping all his promises…
Finding the [key]…
Developing a real world counterpart of the game’s advanced human technologies…
The list of the things he had to do were so long and so hard to accomplish, pressured by time, and pressured by his identity crises, for a nineteen year old like Rex Kingsley… were all too much of a burden that he felt like collapsing any moment.
And yet, just as he was about to, he always finds a reason to keep on standing on his feet and moving forward.
“For some reason, I really feel like seeing her.”
[I sent a message to Matt, sir. He should be on the gate to knock any moment now…]
“That was just a fleeting thought, Cortana.”
[Oops.]
Of course, Cortana knows it was but for the sake of alleviating some of Rex’s stress, she still did the task her ‘Master’ had given her as her main priority.
After a few seconds, the gate’s door opened and there was Matthew holding a helmet with a smile.
“You called?” he cheerily greeted, not minding the ‘stuffs’ of boxes and packages in the once good-ambianced garage garden.
Ever since Siva had detailed a private security to be posted around this area and also threatened all the spies and hostile entities in the subdivision, while also locking their communications capability with the help of Cortana, it was safe to say that as long as Rex allowed it, those ‘entities’ will never get out of this cage.
As such, it could be said that Rex was inside his fortress and he now once again had friends.
Rex minimized the panel windows on his vision and took a look at Cortana’s [email protected] rendering in the sala of the house.
Matthew also saw her and couldn’t help but click his tongue at Rex.
“Sorry to bother you, man.” Rex apologized.
“Don’t sweat it. Just… take care of my baby, ‘kay?”
Rex chose option two and proceeded to visit his only solace in this cruel reality.
The black bike wasn’t something very impressive in the streets and was only a 2 year-old design 220cc motorbike that runs in pure electricity.
But when Rex pulled the accelerator pedal on the right handle, there was the imitation sounds of a loud engine roaring… along with the smile of the proud owner of the bike, Matthew.
“Rub that smirk off your face. It’s ugly.”
“I can’t help it, man, I love the sound of it.”
“It’s still fake.”
“I don’t care.”
The two knocked fists and Rex sped out of the subdivision. A black bike with big wheels, jet-black jacket and leather pants… Rex’s attire was nothing short of a real rider out for a good outing.
It was the afternoon and it just so happens that his destination was heading west.
With the orange skies against him, he kicked the gear up and sped along the highway… the wind on his helmet, his mind on the road, the sparse clouds reflected on the visor and for the first time since forever… he felt free.
*****
The Sword-God Temple, Alexandria…
Gabriel never left the spot where Siva last saw him.
It was at the edge of the cliff overlooking the city just outside the Temple’s exit. With the wind gently caressing his robes, his blonde silver hair flutters as his gaze fixed upwards.
The sky was black, blue, and white in many layers; a sight the same as the magnificence seen at the top of the Himalayas.
Stretching from the mountain top was an endless sea of clouds, gently roiling hitherto, not impeding and in fact accentuates more the beauty of this white world’s surroundings.
Stars blanketed the black canvas above him and it was this view that Gabriel was intently looking at.
Or is it?
“Teacher, now I know why you’re always staring up to the sky each and every time.”
A river of tears flowed down his cheeks, his fists balled angrily at the side of him.
His gaze never left the skies, or to be exact, he was incapable of removing it… for he was wary, so very wary, in fact; scared, yes… angry, absolutely.
Far beyond the canopy of this dome of stars was the endless darkness and Gabriel’s reason for this burst of emotion was the sight he was seeing.
Not even Maki’s advanced telescopes can see the things he was seeing.
Gabriel, now, is a complete Immortal.
In his hand, an Immortal Decree… it was part of him and is a proof of his identity.
The Universe had recognized his [Path] and so it bestowed him this writ of decree of his immortality.
It should have been longer than just a few days to get recognized as his test was supposed to take a lot longer time before being completed.
But then, something happened to the ‘thing’ that he was guarding and it created a phenomenon.
This event then shortened his [test] and made him a true immortal in every sense of the word.
He was back, the Immortal Emperor of Tiara.
And yet… as invulnerable this writ was, his fist was crumbling it in deep trepidation.
On his vision, hundreds of lightyears away… was a grand formation of eight Motherships, thousands of Colossus Warships, and the countless Commander Warships that spanned a frightening display.
Billions upon billions of them Demons were in that grand armada and they, without masking it, were headed for Terroa.
Just one Mothership and over a million units were already enough to put Terroa into a state of panic; and yet now, there was this… a message of fear.
In Terroa, he was the only immortal and because he was at his home planet, his power wasn’t in the slightest suppressed.
But he knew it wouldn’t be enough.
As grand and as ‘special’ his Path was, even over a hundred of him fighting this armada wouldn’t be any better because the Demons still had Mefisto and his generals.
“Teacher…”
Gabriel prayed. He sincerely prayed.
“Anyone… please… God, please, save our planet.”

Maker of Fire
On a world where magic kept civilization firmly in the bronze age, the Gods dropped an accountant and a mining engineer to start a political and industrial revolution. They wanted enlightened governance and a fast track to the iron age. They got indoor plumbing, paper airplanes, a cranky queen, and one very grumpy prophet. Dramatis Personae Aylem was a bookkeeping student when she died. The Gods reincarnated her as the greatest mage ever known, born into the ruling class of gigantic, magic-wielding humans. The Gods expect her to conquer the world and introduce double-entry accounting. Though Queen and numerical reformer, world conquest is stalled because everyone is scared of her and she doesn't like war. Emily was a retired engineer when she died. The Gods reincarnated her as one of the enslaved class of small, magicless humans. The Gods expect her to drag the world out of the bronze age. Though she's already recreated matches and wrought iron, introducing technology isn't going well because she was born a slave (oops) and having escaped, wants nothing to do with so-called "civilization." Asgotl was a whale when he died. The Gods reincarnated him as a griffin and expect him to have the same role he played in his previous life: to keep a reluctant prophet from walking off the job. If only they had remembered to tell him about it. Revised update schedule will be once a week on Saturdays, noonish Mountain Time (in North America)

Beyond Floating
Muse thought her life had ended twenty years ago because, well, it had. Existing aimlessly for two decades as a ghost, she finds herself yanked along in a rip-tide of strange events. Thrust unwittingly into the midst of a group of paranormal hitmen-for-hire led by a man named Isaac. Michael, a normally rational and righteous holy soldier of God, succumbs to revenge and hatred, sacrificing everything in the fight to destroy Isaac and everyone who associates with him. Muse, by virtue of her inadvertent association with Isaac, is on that list. This is actually my first 'finished' fiction that I've ever written, which I completed about 8 years ago. I dug it up recently and I'm posting it as I thought people here might get a kick out of it. So, take that for what you will. Chapters will be released daily at 6:00pm EST.

At least that was the case before the pirates came. Orcs with sharpened steel arrived on the shores of the goblin swamp. His friends and families were taken. Everything and everybody lost. Now Dizzy has to be more than he ever thought he could be. Now Dizzy must become an adventurer and fight to free his people. Gamer
This story is abandoned and has not been authorized for distribution on any sites but RoyalRoad. Given the Gamer ability after shattering a crystal inside a game, Jon's world is upturned as he is thrown into a life he considered fantasy. Making new enemies and encountering a god, he cannot escape the quest which is forced on him. Different worlds and different situations, can he come out on top? He's neither perfect nor a saint, he is Jon. Welcome to Gamer. This has been dropped, I didn't like the way I forced a few plotpoints and I lost my notes on the story itself. Read below if you want to be spoilered. As far as I recall, he would change race into a higher human after using a spell to overload his mana repeatably until his body forcibly adapts, he would train up his rift usage spell with some better targets than God's Realm because he keeps hitting his stats limit until the cost lowers enough that he can actually grind it. His world is being invaded by multiple worlds, so the god had many backup plans where a lot of people went into their own fantasy settings and came back to defend Earth. Jon never is the strongest one out there, he has to keep grinding and grinding before he gets stronger than the other heroes, and at that point the invasion is nearing the final stretch. Jon's two biggest advantages is that he can keep grinding without hitting a cap he can't evolve, and that even when he is eventually killed. He would have respawned in the nearest 'Safe Zone' after dropping a level and everything he did to gain that level. I also had a bunch of ideas for mini-arcs where he would play in multiple worlds in multiple situations, not that great of an idea in retrospect.
