Chapter fifteen
By the time Jules stopped crying and she managed to compose herself, Morgana was returning while pushing Merlin's comatose body in front of her on a wooden pushcart she had found somewhere in the city. I landed the platform we were floating on in front of her. She looked at me with a frosty expression and asked me, "What now?"
"Now we leave this territory. Here is some pixie dust, I want you to administer some to Merlin every four hours. I have taken the liberty of taking enough pixie dust to keep him under for three years so don't worry about supply, just make sure he doesn't wake up," I created a small bubble to hold Jules, Morgana, the comatose Merlin and myself and we quickly flew past the now empty city of Camelot and towards the horizon. We were flying so fast that everything around us became a blur, "We will reach the border of this territory in a few minutes. The territory we are going to travel to next is a world of water. It is populated by gigantic creatures similar to jelly fish and squid. They are one of the few creatures on this plane that ascended because of sheer physical power without possessing any magic. They are a peaceful race but that doesn't mean that they are helpless, if provoked they can use a variety of attacks ranging from electric attacks to poison."
As I talked, we quickly traveled hundreds of miles and reached a strange colorful wall. It looked like the surface of a soap bubble. A psychedelic mixture of colors, some that weren't even supposed to exist.
"This is the wall that separates each territory from it's adjacent territory. Two territories might have a common border but that doesn't mean anything. What is on the other side of that wall is a wholly different world with different rules. Thankfully my power let's me know things so I can tell you if there are any special restrictions when we cross. As I have mentioned before, the territory that we are about to enter is mainly underwater. We will stay in this bubble and I am able to supply us with breathable air. Other than that there are no restrictions in this territory. Are you ready to cross over?"

Morgana nodded without much enthusiasm but Jules was nearly buzzing with excitement as she jumped around in the bubble, "Finally! We can start our adventure! Am I ready ? I was born ready! Full steam ahead John, I want to see what these giant jelly fish look like."
Her upbeat attitude was infectious, I couldn't help but to be swept up in her excitement and I started to laugh. Even Morgana who was cold and morose since she let her darkness loose had a small smile on her face, her lips being slightly quirked upwards at the corner as she looked at the angel jumping around with excitement. She turned to me and asked,"Is she always this energetic?"
"Yes. She is constantly by my side and even when I am waist high in shit and sinking fast, she still manages to make me feel better. She was my first friend at a time when I didn't have any friends. She is the reason that I didn't go insane when the world turned its back on me. I know that she puts my needs before anything else and in the end I have learned that I truly love her from the bottom of my heart. So to answer your question, yes she is always this energetic. She is my little dose of sunshine and I love her dearly for it."
I couldn't help feeling sentimental when I talked about Jules. I unconsciously grabbed her hand and pulled her close so that we were standing face to face, gazing into each other's eyes.
In the corner of my eyes, I saw Morgana look at us then turn towards Merlin with a sad smile on her face. Seeing the tender expression on her face as she gazed at him, I didn't need my powers to know that she was still very much in love with him.

I sighed when I saw that sad scene and I cleared my throat to get rid of the awkward atmosphere that had been created, "Alright then. Let us move forward. We are now about to enter the next territory, brace yourselves."
The bubble we were in moved towards the wall that looked like a soap bubble and passed through without any obstruction. One second we were in the grassland, the next we were suddenly underwater, in what looked like a deep blue sea.
Before we could get used to the sudden shift in environment and get our bearings, a giant bolt of lightning suddenly came streaking straight towards us.

Azarinth Healer
A new world with nearly unlimited possibilities. A status, classes, magic and monsters. Sounds good? Well, for Ilea it didn't come quite as expected as for some other protagonists, nor was there a king or god to welcome her. The grand quest? Well, she might figure that out someday but for now, a new world with new food is prize enough. Her fists at the ready, she's prepared to punch and get punched, however long it takes and however many limbs she might have to regrow. A story I've started writing now quite a while ago. Transported to another world, somewhat standard fantasy setting with my beginner attempts to make it dark but funny. There are Litrpg elements here but I do hope it's not too heavy and annoying. The fights should be interesting and aren't just numbers vs numbers. Contrary to the title the protagonist will be quite an offensive fighter. Ilea Spears is your average sarcastic kick-boxing fast food worker and soon to be student. She will be transported to another world rather conventionally and will be confronted with survival in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. My experience is incredibly lacking. If you find yourself hating it early on, do convey your anger in a detailed comment or review :) I want to get better but without any feedback it's simply quite difficult. Quick heads up: Around chapter 120 there are a bunch of longer PoV changes that I discontinued again shortly after. The Arc around chapters 150-200 is darker than the rest and the themes shift quite a bit. Just know that it goes back to what you've come to know after that section. Thank you for reading. Quick update June 2019: Many complaints regarding the formatting, specifically spacing in conversations and of course the usage of the present tense in the first 36 chapters have been addressed. I'm of course learning by the day but compared to how it was before it should be an improvement at least. Chapters usually around 3k words Cover art by Kevin Catalan

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
