《The Journey Towards Stardom》Chapter 11 - Jekyll and Hyde

The models followed behind the arrogant blonde man, their faces red with excitement. They were naturally jealous of how attractive Faer was. Especially the guys, since their pride took a hit. Noticing how conversations lulled as Faer walked in, they felt like this guy was too eye-catching and they couldn’t help comparing themselves to him.
“I haven’t seen you before. What agency are you from?” Blondie asked. His tone and expression rubbed Faer the wrong way and before he knew it he was responding in kind.
“I fail to see how that concerns you? If you have nothing else to say, then you and your friends can go back from whence you came.”
His brother would be proud of his response. Courtly with a dash of flippancy.
“You! What are you saying?!” William could not remember the last time he was disrespected like this. He was a top model! Just who would have the nerve to speak this way to him?
“You’re a very uncouth person, aren’t you? I have no interest in what you have to say, whether it be now or in the future. Leave.”
William flinched at those angry bright eyes.
“I’ll pay you back for this humiliation in the future. Wait for it.” William turned around and left with his entourage.
And with that, the issue was resolved.
‘Phew. I felt like if he stayed for another second, he would’ve gotten an up close and personal introduction with my fist. I dislike guys like that the most. I’ve always endured being bullied but today I just couldn’t take it anymore. Why is that?’
Something was really strange. He needed to talk to God about this.
‘God? Are you listening? I have some questions to ask.’
“What do you want? Aren’t you a little too familiar with me? Talk fast, I was just playing solitai- … I was working.”

‘I’m not quite sure what’s happening but lately, I’ve been having these weird mood swings and violent impulses. Do you know what’s happening?’
“Hmm? Now that you mention it, you have been a little different … I didn’t think this would happen but in hindsight, I should have seen it coming.”
‘Huh? What are you talking about?’
“We’ll see what had happened was, you not only have the memories of all those people, but also the emotions and ego’s that come along with them. You’re not the Faer from before the accident, well not entirely.”
‘WHAT?! If I’m not me then, who am I?’
“You’re … I’m not quite sure myself but it seems like your personality is undergoing a transformation?”
‘Transformation? I don’t want my personality to change! How do we fix it?!’ Faer was in a panic.
“Alright, calm down. Find someplace private, and then I’ll filter out what I can. I can say with certainty, though. Some of these egos have already seeped into your soul, basically, they’re already ingrained. You won’t be exactly like you were before.”
Making his way to an unoccupied bedroom, Faer closed the door and sat on the bed in the middle of the room.
‘What does my soul have to with this?’
“Idiot! Your soul is, in essence, everything you are. Your very nature is the embodiment of your soul.”
‘I think I understand. OK! How do we do this?’
“You don’t do anything but sit there. Give me a sec.” Tch, how troublesome.
“Hmm .. I think I got all that I could. You should be fine now but like I said before, you’re already different so just come to peace with it ok?”
'Peace my foot!'
“Anyways, you've probably noticed by now that you’re a little unsteady on your feet. I’m surprised you haven’t passed out yet. Your soul is pretty strong isn’t it?”
“Oh, he’s already passed out. All’s well that ends well I guess.”

The Underbelly
There's something wrong with Port City. In the aftermath of the Hyde Park massacre, the city increased its police force dramatically, and Wyatt Milter found himself in uniform, with a gun, a badge, and dreams of someday making detective, but with no clue how to actually make it happen. These days a new, ugly kind of violence is rising on the streets. As a bizarre group of characters emerges from Port City's underbelly, Wyatt will be forced into making a difficult decision. Will he remain a cop? Or will he serve a different kind of justice? (Author's Note: I started writing this about 10 years ago and only now got around to the idea of uploading it. As a result, much of this predates the rising popularity of the Green Arrow. I'm uploading as is, but future drafts will make minor alterations to the character to differentiate it.)
