[Charging beam…]
All the sudden Luon began to grimace as the BMPU shot a beam of light into his eyes. A flash of information surged through his head.
He went into a state of minor hibernation - the feelings, experiences, and information about all of Luon’s simulated lives appeared before him in a matter of seconds.
Luon’s brain churned to process a large amount of information stimulating every single cell possible. The feelings of joy, satisfaction, pain, and sorrow shook his heart considerably. The nerves on his body tingled his senses, and he started to breathe slowly.
To ease the process of his memories syncing together the BMPU watch had compiled it with the smaller packets of information first.
He began to recall his simple life in the six simulations, then his fifth and so on.
Then on the third simulation, his body convulsed as he re-experienced the pain and suffering he had received from the evil necromancer.
This was his second time having this feeling, only it was incredibly compressed lasted merely a second. The pain he felt in that second was like someone had slowly stabbed him at the start just to later smash and crush him into the shape of mince-meat used in hamburgers.
Luon felt like his heart could stop at any moment, but he still managed to brace himself pass it.
Then his second simulation appeared.
There was no suffering nor was there any trace of joy. Eternal darkness, the negative feelings during this simulation spew out.
Luon at first was a soldier in this simulation, life was straightforward back then, and all he had to think about ways to survive.
However, as he burst through and rapidly climb the upper echelon of society he had experience the darkness of the world. The corruption and unfairness of society, many betrayals, and more importantly the sad loss of his friends and his loved ones.
The information transfer had ended, and Luon appeared within a large, empty gray room all of a sudden.
Luon looked at himself to verify his condition. He appeared like his old self from the first simulation, aged and wise except with an overall tint and glow of white.
All of a sudden, several shadows emerged in this room, and they erupted in a glow radiating in many different colors. As the light that shone around them grew brighter, the appearance of the shadows became more evident. They were the simulated versions of Luon’s lives sitting in a profound looking chair - they were all dyed one color representing the complexity of their lives and overall personality about themselves.
Luon looked at the six, and the tidbits of information appeared in his head detailing who they were and represent.

The young blue version was from the six simulations, he looked like a cheerful and energetic child.
The green version was from the fifth simulation after he made his appearance he fell asleep immediately without a care in the world.
The yellow one’s appearance was akin to young and studious bookworm. This version of Luon was from the fourth simulation.
The dark red Luon was like an abomination from hell. His appearance was the hardest one to look at. He was largest one in size due to the weird mutations that were done to his body, this made him appear intimidating as he gazes about filled with anger and hatred.
And as for the black Luon, he was the simulated version of Luon's second life - he was the second oldest in the room but looked nonchalant and empty.
At this moment after Luon finished evaluating them, a single thought appeared in his head, and he knew what going to happen right now.
The amalgamation of experiences, this is the most crucial phase to dictate the overall personality after receiving the simulated memories.
To do so, they must determine how much of their personality is divided to make the new Luon, after they decide in between themselves they would then fuse naturally.
The first to propose equal shares of personality was the yellow one. It appeared very fair; however, the blue one interjected and wanted to have a more of a fun personality.
The laid-back green one without a care in world slept through the children's argument, and the black one sat emotionlessly still.
Immediately the dark red Luon emitted a loud howl of a beast determined to take the majority of the personality, with the shackles released from his painful life with the necromancer it was determined if it had to chance to - it would slaughter everything in sight.
The yellow and blue one were instantly scared and immediately quieted down, and they felt aggrieved and discontent as they look at the dark red one with disgust. The two signal each other silently, such an evil being must not take the majority of the new personality, and the two looked at the most dominant Luon, the original for help.
The old white Luon was stupefied - to argue with a nonsensical beast how can he bring himself to do so? He was merely an engineer for his first life.
With a loud grunt, everything went silent and dark red one with a fearful look became silent as if afraid of the black Luon which intervened with the unproductive discussion.
The black one stared at the original Luon and said: “You can decide.”
Afterward, the black one once again closed his eyes and rested as the previous atmosphere in room returned to normal.
The original Luon came to his senses and appearing very wise propose that the newly created personality should be divided into percentages based on age - having experience is better than having an ignorant amount of knowledge.

Especially with how the oldest of the bunch was the white and black version of Luon.
The rest of the personalities agreed, although the dark red was one dissatisfied the original promised that he would reign most of the anger emotion to bring about slaughter within reason.
They began to fuse but just before they merged the black one gave more than half of its personality portion to the original Luon.
The original Luon wanted to know the black one's intentions were but before he can ask the fusion commenced.
…
Luon woke up from his quiescent state.
His overall personality had hardly changed at all if there was something to mention his eyes seem to exert a mysterious force.
With another ring on his BMPU wristwatch, Luon turned to look at the holographic projection that appeared with the words ‘Step 1 complete please press to verify’.
He noticed that only a minute had passed since he started this procedure despite the fact he had just experienced over a century’s worth of life experiences.
Luon pressed on the verification panel, and a cutesy loading screen appeared.
Luon waited as the words loading were shining with a white hue, and above this was a miniature robot in the shape of a box like a tank that was dancing.
After another minute the loading screen finished, and the robot began to enlarge himself on the holographic project.
“Hello, I am CITA, I am AI created to help. I can connect to the Federation database, or be some emotional support, but for now, I’ll be finishing your tutorial.” The strange robot said as it was driving around in a circle for some reason.
It stopped wildly moving and turned to face the screen.
“The BMPU wristwatch has a multitude of features...” And CITA began to cite every possible thing it can do.
As long as Luon had access to the Alliance server he was able to access the internet, unlimited text and call abilities and 24/7 technical support with CITA as well as emergency help access.
But ignoring those standard features, the most crucial one would be the magical appraisal feature and the status one which can be used even when not connected to the server.
CITA then finished explaining all of the possible features of the device. It then said to the bored Luon, “Well that is all for the tutorial if you need something give me a call. Good luck to you young lad.”
CITA gave a wink and closed himself on Luon.
Luon felt extremely tired as if he ran a marathon, the process of amalgamation was mentally taxing.
He did a quick check on his status and then went to bed.
And this marks the end of Luon’s first day in this world.

Luon woke up slightly drowsy after hearing the voice of his mother shouting at him to wake up for breakfast from downstairs.
He slowly acknowledges the reality he woke up to.
Luon dragged his body out of his bed. He then did the standard procedure to make him appear more tidy and appealing to people before heading down to see his parents.
At the dining table was another excellent meal of fried eggs with tomatoes, pancakes, and milk. Luon's father appeared very hungover and ate very slowly and silently, and his mother was happily on the side feeling very energetic. As Luon and his family ate and satiated their stomachs, his parents asked what his plans for the day were.
Luon stopped eating for a second and thought about it. What do people do before school starts?
He sat there and thought blankly, seeing this Rina said “Luon, you should probably take the time and learn more about this new era you have woken into. You could ask CITA on your BMPU or go visit the library, or at least that's what my friends tell me what their kids do.”
The library, a place of longing and desire. Luon had the sudden urge to get up and dash out the door. Just as he began to take action, his mother reprimanded him, “Luon, don’t forget to finish your breakfast and check with CITA about the direction of the library, there is no entrance fee as long as you have your BMPU on you.”
Luon thanked Rina for the meal and information before dashing out the door after finishing his meal. Rina smiled and shook as Luon left the house she thought ‘Idiot, among family members there is no need for appreciation.’
Upon arrival at the building with CITA guidance, he went inside and noticed the reception desk used to sign in as well as a pair of doors leading to his goal. Luon walked up to personnel at the counter to hurry inside.
The receptionist gave a quick overview of how to use the building and made Luon sign in using his BMPU. Luon didn’t pay too much attention to the receptionist words as he was too excited.
After signing in, he rushed passed the doors and into the actual library.
“What is this!” yelled Luon shocked stupefied.

The Beta Test
Our nameless narrator participates in a beta test for an early VRMMO game Meridian 60. That's not the real name but it captures the spirit of the adventure given the chronological and contextual era of the game. His character is unique and special but purely for mundane reasons and not because of any inherent or social significance. The first chapter which is mandatory to submit a story on RR serves as a bit of a prologue with some exposition, although I limited that to a reasonble level. I plan to begin releasing additional chapters starting Thursday, to align with the 48 hour submission approval process and also because I have something to do Wednesday. I haven't written anything but the summary and first chapter, nor have I plotted anything out. This is because my plan is to release roughly 34000 words a day, 10 chapters of ~12.5 pages each, for 3 days at which point the story will be complete. I'd have liked to plan for more but handling the interface tables and so forth needed for a data heavy litrpg slows down the writing process. 100k words is a bit short, a standard pre epic fantasy 300 page spec fic novel, but this is mostly a writing exercise and I am considering a longer project if I can maintain the pace. Probably do a different concept, maybe a dungeon core, over 5 days, since a 500 page novel is more common these days. Slight subversion of VRMMO stories Stat heavy/crunchy No paying your bills by gaming No out of game conspiracies No angst, interpersonal drama, or damsels/dudes in distress Schedule is 30000 words a day excepting the first chapter, a limitation of RRs fiction submission system Fantasy, high magic, male lead, no party, guild, or harem No gore, some profanity, no sexual content, and no current plans for anything traumatic
