Chapter 10: “Unruly _____”
[{Divine Transformation}](Kinzo)
A bright light unlike any other burst forth from directly behind her. One that even when facing away from, consumed everything in sight with it’s blinding presence. The chattering of the crowds silenced in a moment; as the masses stared inwards on the illusive figure. Turning her head slowly, the goddess’ expression was blank. Her wrist raised in the air, held by an unfamiliar hand. The ball of fire that was prepared, suddenly gone. Discerning the appearance of whomever grabbed her, she was unprepared for what she saw. A figure unlike any other, cloaked in light. Looking into the eyes of the abyss, the goddess’ knees began to waver.
“Ahahaha! Serves you right!”(Hydra head 2 spouts off again)
The earth dragon that was previously protecting the two small figures, had relaxed itself into a deep bow. At the same time, Ayumi was teleported from within Maya’s grasp, to between the two mythical creatures.
“Let go of me you monster!”(Maya screamed at the figure)
Hearing her sharp words, the earth dragon’s eyes opened once more with a very serious glare. This time instead of a motherly tone, her voice was aggravated, shaking the air throughout the room.
“To think that even the deity of humans would be so ignorant.”(the earth dragon chastises)
Reaching for her wrist with her other hand, she attempts to pull away from the figure’s grasp; Maya’s fingers passing through the entity of light. Unable to touch the figure, yet unable to escape; that fact alone confused her.
“Why can’t I touch you!”(Maya screamed as her flailing resulted in zilch)
A few embarrassingly long moment’s later; Maya stood breathing heavily after a fury of attacks. No matter the magic or physical attack, it all simply passed through the figure. Although as a result, many of the spectators scattered from behind; Narrowly avoiding their destruction from the barrage. Others…. Weren’t so lucky...

{{This isn’t right! I’m the goddess im the one who is supposed to be untouchable… It’s like he’s...}}(Maya thought)
“my...”(Maya thoughtlessly blurted out.)
~~ ~~ ~~
(Kinzo’s POV)
{{I’ve gone and done it again… I transformed into this ridiculous form. This time, I won’t do anything… After last time; it seems like I can’t trust myself.}}(Kinzo thought)
The well endowed deity held in Kinzo’s grasp first turned her head and greeted him with a horrified expression. She was frightened enough that she began to quiver on the spot.
{{Common now, I don’t look that scary. I’ve seen myself in the mirror already. It’s not that bad.}}(Kinzo criticized her behavior silently.)
The woman began clawing away at Kinzo’s hand to no avail. Her physique passing right through his body. With each attempt, Kinzo noticed a small bell-like sound and a familiar notice.

Several moment’s passed; the attacks proving impossible to land.
{{Woah, 2678 defenses…. she even had an intimidation ability. Does that mean I have fear resistance?}}(Kinzo thought)
*Ding*
Tutorial:
Yes that is correct, you also possess a number of other abilities that allow for the dulling of emotions. Including but not limited to: Fear, Hunger, Sleep, Fury, Calmness, Disgust, and Mercy resistances.
Astounded with what he was told Kinzo raises his left hand and covers his face again. It was exhausting being surprised on a regular basis.
{{I can’t believe I forgot about tutorial-kun...)}}(Kinzo remorsed)

{{But.. I guess it’s to be expected, I did create this form with the ideal of having every one of my powers active.}}(Kinzo reasoned.)
His hand on his face, moved and produced a thinking motion across his ethereal mouth and chin.
{{Wait a minute… Did it just say mercy resistance? How the hell is that helpful. Doesn’t it just make me a psychopath?}}(Kinzo)
Tutorial:
Mercy Resistance: The ability to resist acts of mercy on behalf of the user. Most commonly used by merchants for matters regarding con-men.
{{Ahhh… So it does have a use… Although it’s side effects seem too troublesome when I’m the one using it. Is there any way to disable it?}}(Kinzo)
Tutorial:
Negative. By the definition of its creation, the “Divine Transformation” ability, must use all abilities available to its user, disregarding active or harmful trigger effect abilities. Since mercy resistance is neither, it cannot be disabled.
{{Gaaahhhh, I made something troublesome again. I really shouldn’t use this form. What happens if I use an attack ability and the world explodes. I’m not practiced enough yet!}}(Kinzo silently panics inside his head)
The deity held by her wrist went un-noticed by Kinzo, who was muttering to himself. Her attempts at violence towards him pointed towards the only truth that could explain such a situation.
“my...”(Maya thoughtlessly blurted out.)
Looking up to Kinzo with slow movements again, Maya’s face changed from fear and disgust, to that of sheer joy and surprise. Tears well up in the eyes of the green haired deity, her free left hand covering her mouth in reaction to the realization. Her knees still shaking; however, now for an entirely different reason. Only a quick second or two later; she leaps up and lands on top of Kinzo knocking him over to the ground.
{{What the hell? Why was she able to…}}(Kinzo)
Tutorial:
Hostile Intent Dispersed: Dimensional Permeability: Disabled
“DADDY!!”(Maya yelled out while smothering the figure of light on the ground)
In what seemed to be a wave of a single thought; every humanoid in room was with their mouth agape, and a small wind was created by a deep collective inhale... Rubbing her face into the collar and torso of the prone divine figure; every spirit in the room screamed at the same time.
“Daddy!?!”(Everyone)
And so... Kinzo gained an unruly daughter.

The Good Necromancer
Hundreds of years ago, shortly after the Great Cataclysm which destroyed the Ancient World, was the Age of Heroes. One of these great heroes started off in the most hated profession of the time, Necromancer. Join him and his comrades as they accomplish the first of the Good Necromancers legendary tasks. ***** So, quick update for those who pay attention to this section. I'm finally coming out of finals for this semester, and I plan on getting the whole already posted section revised. It's taken me a while to change the necessary things, as I had to start all the way over, but I've at least got the rough drafts for all the revised chapters. These should be going up within the next week or so, still have to go to work, but I am here, I haven't forgotten or dropped the story. Just trying to make this the best work that I can produce. P.S. I will be releasing additional stories. They are all going to be in the Good Necromancer world, however the others will give you an idea on how humans in other locations survived and have thrived. Or not. =)

Carus - Libertas
participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge and also having a go at NaNoWriMo this November. This was a first draft published as it was written for Nanowrimo November 2020. A little rough around the edges, I hope to come back and edit at some point, and then continue the story on. In the grand scheme of things Elias was nothing special. Which was why he was surprised by a random company on a new colony planet buying out his contract. That was the problem with the large companies that ruled the colonies, once they owned your contract, they owned you. Imagine the greater surprise when he learnt that the new company held the promise of freedom. Not from the constant battle against the Swarm that were also trying to claim the colony planets for their own. Nor from the Crust, the mysterious substance that covered the same planets and held the resources they all fought for. No, the freedom from being oppressed by those with more power and to finally decide where to go and where to set down roots and call home.
