Chapter 4

I continued training my mana manipulation and growing my mana crystal until dusk when I finally saw Lyra in the sky off in the distance, finally returning from scouting the entire area. Honestly, I was expecting her back hours ago, so why is she so late? Ah, she seems to have seen me, as she is now swiftly descending down to the field. While waiting for her, I ask a nearby maid to ask all of my party members to gather in the meeting hall.

Finally reaching me, Lyra takes a second to readjust her clothes before looking at me with a hot gaze and saying “Master, as a reward for scouting and even mapping in a 100 kilometer radius around us, I respectfully request for you to do to me what you did to Victoria last night!”

“....Does everybody know about that?”

“Master, everybody listened to the entire thing last night, but unfortunately I had to leave early or else I wouldn't have been able to finish the duty you gave me today.” She says with a regretful look on her face.

“...Hah, we can talk about that later, but for now let's hurry up and meet with the others, okay?”

“Hehe~ I’ll let it go for now, but I can promise you that you and I will be sharing a bed with each other very soon~”

….Ha forget it, I’d already decided I would just go along with whatever when it came to my party, I figured it would happen, but seriously, these girls are rather aggressive.

Anyway, we hurried to the meeting hall where Victoria was already waiting for us.

“Hmm? Oh master! Good, your here! Along with….Lyra…Did you two already…?”

Lyra smiled, placed her hand on her face and wrapped her other hand around her front while saying “Victoria, how bold of you! To ask such a….sumptuous question.! I may not be able to hold it in!”

“No! We haven't done anything like that yet!”

“Yet?”

“Aghh! You know what I mean!”

Right as we finished our little comedy, Devi-chan came in trailed by Sylvia. Devi-chan’s emotionless face upon seeing me reddened slightly as she immediately glanced away. Sylvia’s ears reddened and she hid behind her big sister.

Victoria glanced at them suspiciously upon seeing their overly shy attitude and then shifted her focus, glaring at me. Devi-chan spoke up saying “W-we have finished patrolling the Barracks and have now reported as requested...master.”

Victoria only leaned back in her seat and sighed in defeat. “You really are a womanizer aren't you, master? Not even a day after having me you're already picking up other women...not that I expected to keep you to myself after hearing them at the door last night...tch, leeches.”

Lyra obviously heard what she said and replied “You picking a fight Victoria?!”

I could only raise my hands in defeat and said wearily “Alright, how about we just calm down, take our seats, and wait for the others to arrive. Okay?”

I sat down at the head of the rectangular table while Lyra and Victoria glared at each other before sitting down on either side of me. Devi-chan and Sylvia only glanced at each other before silently sitting next to each other. The uncomfortable silence in the room lasted for a long while until it was interrupted by the door opening.

Flaire entered the room and was immediately able to read the atmosphere. “My oh my, it seems something rather interesting happened while I was away~” Her fox ears twitched as she sashayed over to me before under the dumbfounded glares of the other four women in the room, she placed a kiss on my cheek before taking her place at the table.

Geez Flaire, you could already tell what they were fighting about, but you just had to stir the pot anyways….not that I didn't enjoy your kiss~ I sent a pointed and helpless glance towards Flaire to which she merely responded with a smile that contained her mischievousness and what looked like,..pride for having kissed me.

Without giving the room a chance to descend into silence, the door was slammed open and a cheery voice could be heard from the rather short figure. “Mou Onii-chan~ My lab is so far away from here up in that tower that it takes forever to get here at such short notice! As punishment, I’ll have you be my seat!”

And so to everyone’s surprise, my own included, my little sister Ancient Dwarf Mia promptly sat herself in my lap. Mia catching me by surprise, she wiggled her soft butt around causing something to stiffen. Obviously she could feel it to, as she leaned back into my chest and tilted her head so she could see me, and then she smiled cutely. To which I could only stiffen my spine and pat her head, hoping that nobody else besides Mia would notice my predicament.

Ahh! Mia is just so cute! Even if I know what she is doing, I just can’t help but pat her head! Her butt really is soft though...Bad brain! Focus on the meeting at hand!

Everyone was sending glares towards Mia who, unbeknownst to me, was sticking her tongue out in victory.

I coughed slightly, and then said “Alright, we finally have everyone here. Let's go over our reports, how about we start with…..Flaire.”

Flaire immediately put out her normal sultry smile and then said “I placed the entire civilian population under a minor illusion that is meant to induce calm into them. There have been no acts of rioting thus far, so I suggest we keep the illusion in place, at least until the civilians are completely acclimated.

“Excellent work! I agree with your suggestion for the illusion.”

“Thank you master~”

“Alright, let's have Devi-chan and Sylvia go next.”

“Master, this one and Sylvia have patrolled the barracks and ensured that all off duty guards are currently at maximum ready status. There are currently no issues concerning the guards.”

“Good job you two! Let's have Mia go next.”

The little figure in my lap spoke up excitedly “Onii, I’ve been making lots of potions! Mou… the only problem is that I’m running out of ingredients even though I’ve been as thrift as possible with them! At this rate we’ll run out of ingredients within a week!”

“Hmm, this is certainly an issue, but don’t worry about it! Just focus on making potions and I’ll reward you later on!”

Mia immediately narrowed her eyes as she turned and looked at me. She grinded her butt into my stiffened member and the whispered “Onii, wouldn't it be me rewarding you?”

I couldn't help gulp before patting her head and coughing before speaking to Victoria. “So, how are the logistics going?”

Victoria paused for a second while staring at Mia and I as though she could sense what Mia did, before finally sighing in defeat and saying “ Like that little nymph said, we currently have no income of supplies, so I recommend sending teams to survey the surrounding area. The mountains are likely areas for veins of ore to be present, so once they are surveyed properly, it would be a good idea to set up mines in the area. We have enough food stored to last about 6 months, but if we don't want to run into any shortages, it would be a good idea to start developing the nearby land. Our already stored food plus meat supplemented from monsters should be able to last us until our first harvest as long as we start now. On the subject of water, we have the large river to the north, so as long as we send some workers and mages to dig a canal, we can connect it to our already present aqueduct system. Just based at first glance, our surrounding area seems to be rich in natural resources, as well as there being an unnaturally large amount of mana density here. All in all, we have been transported to a very good location.”

“I couldn't have said it better myself. Alright, send out a few teams to survey the surrounding area for resources. I want you to prioritize developing the surrounding area into farmland. It may be prudent to work with Devi-chan and Sylvia in sending guards out of the city on patrol so they can protect the teams and civilians. It is also a good idea to connect the river to our aqueduct system, so I’ll leave that to you to assign some Earth mages to that team.”

“Hee- it seems like I won't be able to join you tonight, there's just too much work.”

After hearing that, Mia immediately ground her butt even harder against me, causing me to suck in air.

“Ahem, I think I’ll be alright. Okay, Lyra you're up.”

“Okay, so first, the guards should be able to defeat the monsters in the area as long as they work together with no issue. During my time scouting the surrounding area, I discovered several roads that seem to have fallen in disuse, as well as a village. I didn't make contact, I only observed them from afar. It seemed to barely have a hundred residents and seemed to have a fairly low quality of life. I don't know if that means anything for the quality of life in this world or if its only isolated to that village. I also mapped the geographic features, I have a copy for all of you to look at.”

“Good work. I think we won't make contact with the village at least until I’ve regained enough of my power and we’ve stabilized the city. Okay, that should be it for today. It’s not like I don't like spending time with all of you, but we need to stabilize the city, so I ask you to continue your assigned duties and complete any new ones. Let's work hard so we can relax sooner!”

“”“Oooh!”””

“Oh, that reminds me, Mia, come with me, I have a job for you~”

‘Ooh, you're gonna regret teasing me all throughout the meeting’ I thought as a large smile appeared on my face.

“Coming Onii-chan~!” She said without knowing her plan was about to achieve fruition.
