I guess I'm already dead now. Well, at least I was able to kill that professor freak. Hehehe, The expressions that he made every time I stab him was horrific. Those things that he did to me, countless hours of torture, making me fall into pain and despair. But day by day I realized that I was getting used to it. And now I don't feel pain any more. It's not like I was immune to pain, I mean I can still feel pain, it's just that, I was used to it. No, more like it's just a regular sensation to me.

That day when that Professor tricked me to go to that lab, I thought he was going to give me a job but it turns out that my job was to be guinea pig for their research. After he finished putting the body enhancement on me, he made me to do a test run on my abilities. That test run involved me in to fighting the other Test Subjects. The first fight that I've had was with a woman, unfortunately during the test runs the Test Subjects are not allowed to speak, they putted a choker equipment that seals our vocal chords. She looked at me like she's begging for mercy, I didn't want to fight her but those bastards said that if both of us didn't fight they have no choice but to kill us.

I wanted to be the one who die so that she can live, but the fear of death keeps pulling me from my actions. In the end I had to kill her, I gave her quick death so that she won't feel any pain. After I was brought back again in my room. I grieve so much at my actions and angry to myself for how much of a coward I am. I'm such an idiot if I had just let that woman to kill me, I would not have any regrets. After all even if I die no one will cry for me. The only ones who would cry for me is already dead.

As I was reminiscing at my past, a strong ray of light suddenly appeared. I reflexively covered my eyes, after that the light disappeared. I opened me eyes thinking that it was okay, after I opened my eyes what I saw was little girl that looked like around 12 years old wearing some kind of priestess like those you see fantasy games. Her face was cute that kinda made me want pinch her cheeks. Hehehe.

"Hello, Jeff. My name is Iena, I'm so sorry for the painful experience that you had in that world. We would have helped you but our management isn't really perfect so we didn't got the chance to help."(Iena)

So I really am dead, huh.

"I see... Are you a goddess?"(Iena)

Iena looked at like she was surprised at the words I've said.

"Aaah... Unfortunately, no. I'm just the manager in the world that you've lived in. There are others like me out there."(Iena)

Iena avoided her eyes from mine for a moment and then looked at me again.

"Ummm.... Aren't you supposed to be mad at me?"(Iena)

"Why would I?"(Jeff)

"I mean, I'm supposed to be one to manage your world and it's people, and yet I didn't even got to help you"(Iena)

Iena looked down to avoid from showing her face to me. It looks like she's about cry. I smiled, and no, I'm not smiling like a crazy man right now. I smiled gently and patted her head.

"Eh?"(Iena)

"Haha, you don't need to blame your self, because even I know that there's no such thing as a perfect system. So even you would make mistakes, and I'm not blaming you for the life that I had, it's my life after all so the responsibility should be on me"(Jeff)

That's right. It's my life so I will not blame anyone else. The actions that I make are the cause of what's going to happen to me. And I will not let a little girl like her just keep blaming herself. Even if I'm slightly insane right now, I still know what's right and wrong.

"Now, how about we talk on what's going to happen next. After all it's not like you called me here just to apologize, right?."(Jeff)

"Eh? Ah... Yes"(Iena)

"So am I going to hell or heaven?"(Jeff)

"Well, you're not listed on the ones going to hell so if you want to go to heaven, you can go there.... But there's another option for the despaired souls

that have passed."(Iena)

Other options? That made me curious right now.

"And what is that?"(Jeff)

"The other option is, you can go to another world to live again so that you can satisfy yourself before you go to heaven."(Iena)

Ooooooooooh, here it is. Another world? Like those fantasy worlds in the those novels.

"I accept! I accept!'(Jeff)

"Looks like your happy to go to another world. Well then let's first talk about some things first."(Iena)

It's not only because I want to go to a fantasy world, it's also because of a promise I made. I remember when that person said that to me before she died."Live your life to the fullest". I promised and yet I didn't get to fulfill my promise in that world. So I decided to go to another world to fulfill that promise. After all I'm a person that hates breaking promises.

"Well then you can choose the kind of world you want go to, so Jeff, what kind of world do you want to go?"

"Fantasy world!!! A world of swords and magics like those read in the novels!(Jeff)

Oh crap, I got too excited, Need to calm down, breathe in, breathe out. Okay I have calmed down.

"Ummm... okay then, there's also another bonus for those who are going to another world. We give them support by giving them a few abilities so that they can live easily, so what abilities do want Jeff?"(Iena)

"Well then since I'm going to go to another world will my body will stay the same if I go there. I mean will the abilities that I got from that lab will still remain in my body?"(Jeff)

"Yes, your abilities that you've got from that world will still remain in you, after all you will not be reincarnated in that world but will simply be transported in there."(Iena)

"Ummm... Jeff, actually those abilities that you mentioned will already be given to you when you go there so, are there any other abilities that you want to have?"(Jeff)

"None, because I don't want any cheats, now let's go!!! Ah, also can you put me in a forest where there's a city near it.(Jeff)

If you guys are wondering why I decided to to go a forest near a city. Well it's because I decided to live in a forest so that I can train in there, I like survival games after all, and I want it near a city so that after I finished my training I can now go do my adventure, and also if I ever had a trouble I can just go to the city. I know that this decision may be absurd but I have decided. And also doesn't it kinda look cool?

"But, but.... what if-"(Iena)

"Don't worry about me, didn't you say that I will go there so that I can be satisfied before I go to heaven?"(Jeff)

"But please at least, accept two abilities. I won't be able forgive myself if anything happens to you."(Iena)

I see. So she's worried about me. I guess I got too confident thinking that I'll be okay. I guess I'll accept her offer.

"Okay then, I'll accept your offer. I'm sorry if I made you worry."(Jeff)

I patted her again to comfort Iena, she seems like she likes being patted. And also her blushing face is really cute.

"I'll accept it but do not make it too OP, ok?"(Jeff)

After all if I became too OP, there will be no more thrill.

"I got it. Then will this two skills be alright?"(Iena)

After she said that 2 description box appeared in front of me.

The orbs of light had completely surrounded me, after that my vision went black.

Hello guys, J.Nashiro here. I was planning on not giving Jeff any skills just the Identify and Language Comprehension skill. In the end, I decided to give him two abilities.
