A month has passed since I became Smiley. So yeah... I finally decided to go to the city and do anything I want.

The reason I decided to finally leave is because... well... The bandits in this forest have disappeared. Ever since I've began raiding every hideouts, it seems that the bandits have began leaving this forest. I even found some hideouts that were abandoned, I guess it they really got scared of me.... hehehe.

Also my beloved knife has became dull. So it's unusable now. Right now I'm using a iron knife which I got from the bandits that I killed.

My knowledge of this world has expanded, Now I'm confident to travel with ease now.

"All right, lets check our items... weapons, check. Clothes, check. Money, check. Mask,check. A bandit's head, che-.... why is this here?"(Jeff)

I put the all items in my magic bag. Yep, I also got it from the bandits. Thanks bandits, you guys were very helpful.

I also put some coins in my money bag. By the way the currency in are copper, silver, gold, white gold and king's gold. 100 copper is equivalent to 1 silver, 100 silver is 1 gold, and so on...

Oh,I also learned some skills and magics while I was in the forest.

Stealth, Presence Detection, Assassination, and Cooking increased in level because of my past experience. If you ask me why I'm good at cooking, well... Sis taught me and it became my hobby ever since.

I got the Shadow Magic from meditating. In this world, you get your magic from meditating, if you got a talent for magic you get to have one or more, it seems that the type of magic you get, depends on how your affinity is to it. I meditated for only 15 minutes until I got the Shadow Magic. According to the books that I've read, there 8 types magic in this world. It consists of Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light, Shadow, Spirit and Forbidden. Oh yeah, it seems that Spirit Magic can only be learned by the Elves. If you successfully got a magic, you need to get a magic tome to have a magic skill. I didn't get to have any magic tome by from the bandits. That means that my Shadow Magic skill is useless right now.

My Stats has increased quite a bit, due to my morning exercises. It's kinda takes time to increase though, because of my stats being quite high, increasing my stats takes quite some time.

Ready to go, I leave my cave and started my journey.

"According to the map, right now I'm in the southern part of the forest and the city can be found at the northern part. Which means... let's go directly to north!"(Jeff)

Due to my excitement, I began straight north at full speed.

Lately... I've heard some rumors of myself. There are rumors like "This forest is currently guarded by Smiley", "You better not have any sin or Smiley will slaughter you", and "Smiley is an apostle of the God of Judgement" or something.

I'm finally popular. I became a celebrity! Though it's my other persona who's popular. Not the actual me. But I'll definitely get popular once I reach city!

"It seems that I'll reach the village that I've seen last time."(Jeff)

When I was scouting the forest, I saw the village by chance. The village was actually peaceful. Their village have for enough resources for their daily needs. The village even have beautiful girls and boys. Though... some of the pretty girls I saw last time seems quite gloomy.

I've been visiting this villages for quite some time to buy some foods and ingredients. I guess I'll buy some things on the way.

"Hmmm... somethings ahead."(Jeff)

My Presence Detection detected multiple individuals up ahead. It seems like thee 23 people in there.

I began to approach towards them without getting my presence caught.

I hid behind a tree and watched what's happening.

"Please! Let us go!"

"Please don't take my little sister just take me instead!"

"Silence! Both of you are coming with us!"

"Sir Krein, currently only both of them were perfect to be sold right now. There were no more good ones in this village."

"Hmmm... It's fine. Lately coming here in the forest has became more easier. There are no more bandits attacking, It sure is our lucky day."(Krein)

"It seems that the one responsible for that was some person named Smiley.

Hey, that's me!

"Bah... I don't care who that guy is. As long as he's here, there should be no more bandits here."(Krein)

Wha-... You motherfucker...

"Let's get outta here. This should be last one we'll collect."(Krein)

"Yes, Sir Krein. Everyone! Prepare to leave now.

Both of the girls were put at the carriage on the back. The carriage they were brought looked like some kind of a prison carriage or something.

The person who was wearing an expensive looking outfit went inside the fancy looking carriage. What was his name?

"I guess, I can't just ignore this."(Jeff)

As I made up my decision. I activated my Sneak skill and began approaching the carriage where they hold the prisoners.

I wore my mask and silently killed the 2 soldiers guarding at back of the carriage. After killing them I moved their bodies somewhere hidden.

12 prisoners, 10 soldiers, and 1 guy who insulted me. 8 soldiers left, but first let's take the prisoners out. Wouldn't want them being a hostage on the process.

The door was locked with two iron lock pads. Easy peasy.

I broke both the lock pads with all my strength. I opened the door. Before the prisoners began to make a ruckus I signed to be silent.

"Hey there, so here's the deal if you want to get outta here just run away as fast as you could, okay?"(Jeff)

Since I didn't have time to confirm their answers I immediately run outside and began running towards the soldiers and greeted them.

Okay... voice tuning, check.

"Greetings, what nice day to die isn't it?"(Jeff)

I greeted with arrogant sounding voice. I always wanted to act like this.

"I would like to meet the person in charge here. Would he like to show up for me?"(Jeff)

After I said, the guy who I was looking for stepped out from the fancy carriage with two guards beside him and 1 at the back.

"Who are you to dare ask for my presence?!"(Klein)

"My name is Smiley, today I would like to reap that nasty soul of yours. You're obviously tainted with sins. Force slavery... Slavery does exist in this world, but there is no rule that says that you can force an innocent person to be a slave, unless he did a crime. Am I not correct?"(Jeff)

"Like I care! As long as I have my authority I can do anything I want! I'm currently one of the prestigious high noble in the city of Zelfort. You do know who am I, right? I am Krein Trevian!"(Krein)

"No, I don't know you. And I don't care who you are. Just die already."(Jeff)

Oh yeah. I haven't got my evasion skill. I know that it exist but I didn't got the chance to to have one. Well, I don't need any effort in doing it with these kind of enemies. Well I'll get it now.

I began to dash forward towards the soldiers and went to the middle to make them surround me.

"Well show me what you got!"(Jeff)

"Wha- He's fast as hell! Everyone kill that bastard!"(Krein)

And then all the soldiers except the one on the behind Krein began to attack me with all their might. I began to effortlessly dodge all the incoming attacks.

"Left... Right... Dodge the next swing... Incoming attack at my back... A sword thrust... You guys sure are all predictable."(Jeff)

And with that I dodge all their attacks while all the soldiers swing their swords impatiently.

5 minutes has passed. Still no Evasion skill. *Sigh.

Meanwhile while Jeff is dodging, The captain of the soldiers who was behind Krein the whole time began to grow uneasy.

"Sir Krein, this is very bad! He's just playing with us. And when he gets bored he'll slaughter us all!."(Captain)

"Damn it! We need to get out of here! Captain use the Binding Jewel!"(Krein)

"Yes, Sir Krein."(Captain)

Binding Jewel. A rare sealing item. It can only be found in dungeons, due to it's rarity it costs a lot money to get it. It's mostly used to bind a strong enemies, but it's effect will be gone if the enemy got attacked. So it's only used for fleeing.

The captain of the soldier bring out the Binding Jewel from his pocket and threw it towards Jeff without him noticing.

Yay! I finally got it. Now time to kill this dimwits.

Suddenly a flash of light appeared above me. Before I knew it a magic circle appeared under me.

"What the-... Damn it I can't move!"(Jeff)

Is this a binding spell? But I didn't heard anyone cast a spell. Oh shit, is this from a Binding Jewel. Damn it, I was careless.

"Everyone! We're retreating, fall back immediately!"

They really are escaping. Good choice. I'll definitely pluck the living soul of everyone of you if you didn't use a Binding Jewel.

"Heh, So you guys are fleeing? Then run away as fast as you can. If you come here ever again... YOU'D BE DEAD WHERE YOU STAND!"(Jeff)

I always wanted to say that. Well I hope this guys ever come back here. Did the villagers get to escape? Oh Yep, I can see the carriage on the back empty. What was the duration of this item? 5 minutes?

5 minutes has passed and I can finally move.

"Wooh, that's what I get for being careless. He said he was from Zelfort city. He doesn't know who I truly am so I'll be safe in the city, but just in case, let's try to be more careful."(Jeff)

Oh yeah I need to buy some food at the village.

I once again began to run and went to my destination.

Inside a fancy carriage, Krein madly discussed with his captain.

"That fucking bastard!"(Krein)

"Calm down, Sir Krein."(Captain)

"I am calm! that fucking Smiley bastard, now my slavery business is no more!"(Krein)

"It will certainly be a risk if we go to villages, after all that Smiley is guarding this forest."(Captain)

"Captain, go find every information of that Smiley, we'll need to find his true identity and dispose him!"(Krein)

"Certainly."(Captain)

Please don't be shy to comment down below, It really helps making me motivated. Even if I'm busy at school... I also changed something about the magic system. Instead of making of a passive skill that show your mastery to magic, I removed it and instead put it in active magic skill.

Fire Mastery passive skill = gone

Fire Magic III active skill = changed into this.
