What in front of me right now is a 20 meter wall made of stone.

"Woah, that sure is tall..."(Jeff)

Honestly I didn't exactly know how big the city was so I'm kinda amazed at it. As expected of a fantasy world, I'm really excited right now.

I went in front of the gate and was greeted by the guards.

"Do you have any identification papers, young man?"(Guard)

"I don't have any."(Jeff)

"Well then, you'll need to pay 2 silver coin for the entrance fee. But first, hold this magic crystal."(Guard)

That magic crystal must be the Judgement Crystal, it's used for detecting criminal records, I've read it in a book once. I don't have to worry since I haven't kill any innocent people.

I held the crystal. It glowed blue when I touched it.

"Okay, you're clear. Now the entrance fee, please."(Guard)

I took 2 silver coin from my magic bag and gave it to the guard.

I began to walk towards the city. Countless building and people were in front of me.

"Well then first things first, let's go to the magic shop."(Jeff)

Oh yeah, I don't know where the magic shop is, I'll just ask the guards.

I asked the guards for the location of the magic shop. Remembering their instructions, I went to magic shop.

"Welcome! Please take a look."(Shopkeeper)

I was greeted by the shopkeeper when I went inside. The shopkeeper was a woman who looks 20 above.

"Ummm, do you sell any tomes here?"(Jeff)

"Huh? Tomes? You mean Magic Tomes?(Shopkeeper)

"Yes."(Jeff)

"Sorry but we don't sell any Magic Tomes here. Actually, I don't think any magic shop here would sell any."(Shopkeeper)

What!? Does that mean I won't be able to learn any magic? The book that I've read said that magic tomes can be found only at dungeons. Are Magic Tomes a rare item?

"If you like, you can buy Spell Books here."(Shopkeeper)

Huh, Spell Books what is that?

"What are Spell Books?"(Jeff)

"What!? How can you not know about Spell Books if you know about Magic Tomes."(Shopkeeper)

"Well, I've read it in a book."(Jeff)

"And what book is that?"(Shopkeeper)

I took the book from my magic bag and gave it her.

"Oh, this sure is an old book. This book was made many years ago when the Old Generation magic was still used. Where did you get this anyway?"(Shopkeeper)

"Old Generation Magic?"(Jeff)

What the hell!? I can't understand what's happening anymore.

"You also don't know about that!? Don't tell me that you're knowledge about magic was only from this book..."(Shopkeeper)

I weakly nodded.

"Pff- puhahahahaha.."(Shopkeeper)

The shopkeeper laughed so hard that her stomach began to ache.

"Haha.. my stomach, haaah. Should I tell you something about magic, boy?"(Shopkeeper)

"Yes..."(Jeff)

"Okay then, listen carefully. Many years ago magic can only used if you have the two requirements. First you must have a talent for magic and second is you need a magic tome. The problem is though, Magic Tome is a very rare item. Even though it still exist right, it's still very rare. But that problem was solved when one man made the new way to get magic, his name was Albert Webster."(Shopkeeper)

Albert Webster? That sounds like a name from my world.

"Albert made the new way to get magic by using imaginations, many people tried to imagine with their minds but it didn't work,then Albert said that you need to imagine it in a certain way, thus he taught them all the way to use it and it succeeded. And then the New Generation Magic is born. Magic Tomes are still used right now but if one appears, they wouldn't hesitate to learn it right away. The magic from the tomes are much more powerful than the ones in the Spell Book so it's no wonder that it would be used right away. You got that?"(Shopkeeper)

I see, so imaginations, huh. Does that imagination involves in theories. Like the theory how fire is made and such.

"Thanks for teaching me. I would like to buy some Spell Books then."(Jeff)

"Good. Now what magic attribute do you use?"(Shopkeeper)

"Shadow, I just learned it."(Jeff)

"Shadow, huh. Since you've just learned it then you can only Beginner Class Magic."(Shopkeeper)

So that means that even if the New Generation Magic usage is by imagination, it still has a rank requirements.

"This 3 are the only ones you can learn at a beginner class. Shadow Mist, Shadow Ball, and Shadow Step."(Shopkeeper)

It all begins with Shadow?

"I'll take this 3."(Jeff)

"Each book cost 50 silver coin, so it will be 1 gold coin and 50 silver coin."(Shopkeeper)

I gave the money to the shopkeeper and took the books.

Oh yeah if you're wondering how many money I have brought, I currently have about 230 gold coins right now. The bandits really did gave me a lot of fortune.

And so I've decided to register at the adventurer's guild. I thought that it would be necessary for me to join, there might be merits in joining.

Ah, crap. I don't know where the guild is. Should I ask someone? Yep, I should I guess, I mean it's the easiest way.

I asked some the people where the guild is and went on my way.

A large building made of stone and wood. The building had a large door in front, on top of the door was a large sign that reads "Adventurer Guild".

I entered the building. Inside the building were many people wearing weapons and armors, some were wearing a robe. All of them directed their gaze at me when I entered.

What the hell? Do I have something in my face right now?

I ignored their gaze and walked towards the the receptionist.

The receptionist was a female beastkin, she had a cat ears on her head and a tail on her back. Her eyes is kinda same of a cat's.

Ooooooh, shit that's cute!!! Can I touch her ears!? Can I!? Wait... what the hell am I thinking. Need to stay sane. Even though I'm insane though.... oh well.

I removed my indecent thoughts and walked to the reception desk.

"Hello, how may I help you?"(Receptionist)

"I would like to register as an adventurer."(Jeff)

"Is that kid serious!?"

"He sure is a brave one."

"He's gonna die early.."

Hey, what's with you guys, is it rare for a 15 year old to be an adventurer. I mean there's no age restriction in registering as one.

"Are you sure?"(Receptionist)

"Yep, I may not look like it but I'm quite strong."(Jeff)

"Then would you mind showing us your level."(Receptionist)

"Sure."(Jeff)

"Then please hold on to this device."(Receptionist)

The receptionist handed to me a small rectangular device made of iron. I hold on it. Suddenly a projection appeared above it. It only displayed my level.

The people behind me were shocked as they saw my level. I guess this level is high for a 15 year old.

"Seems like you didn't lie, with this I'm now confident to register you."(Receptionist)

The receptionist was only shocked a bit at my level, she quickly regain her calmness after that.

The receptionist gave me a paper where I put some information about myself.

"The registration fee will be 5 silver coin."(Receptionist)

I gave the receptionist the 5 silver coin.

"Here's you guild card, you'll start at the F rank."(Receptionist)

She gave my guild card, the guild card showed my name, rank, age, and such.

"Now would you like to learn the basic information of the guild?"(Receptionist)

"Yes, please."

"Okay then. The guild's rank system for adventurer are F, E, D, C, B, A and S. F being lowest rank and S being the highest. Your rank will increase depending on how many and what rank the request you finished. If you didn't succeed the request you have, you will have a penalty, so please refrain in doing so because you will lose your guild membership if you failed too many. You can get request at the Request Board, if you have finished picking your request, just come to the reception desk and tell what request you will take. If you lost you guild card just come to guild and we will make you another one, of course you're rank will stay the same after get it but you will still have to pay for it. So, any other question?"(Receptionist)

"I guess that's enough information for me."(Jeff)

"Will you take a request then, please remember that you can only pick F rank request."(Receptionist)

"No, I'll rest for today."(Jeff)

Well I've been running all day, even if I have the Pain Nullification, I still get tried.

"okay then, please let me know if you want anything."(Receptionist)

"Then can you recommend me a good inn here?"(Jeff)

"An inn? Then I'd recommend you the White Flower Inn, staying there won't cost much and their food are very delicious. You can get by going straight right after you exit the guild. The building has a sign designed with a white colored flower."(Receptionist)

"Thanks, I'll be going then."(Jeff)

I exited the guild and went straight to the inn.

"Oh, Guild Master Drann. I didn't know you were there."(Receptionist)

"Tell me, Lucia. Have you seen that kid you were talking with before?"(Drann)

"What are you talking about? This is the first time I've saw that kid."(Lucia)

"Well... I think I've seen him before. Anyway, how was that kid."(Drann)

"He's certainly promising. Even he's at that age, he's level is high. He must have trained a lot."(Lucia)

"It's good that we're getting promising ones. I'll be at my office."(Drann)

In front of is a building made of wood, it had a medieval like design and had a sign with a white flower design. The was maintained well and didn't look old.

I entered the building and was greeted with a cute little girl.

"Welcome! Are you gonna stay or just take a meal."(Girl)

Cu- Cute! She so cute.

The little girl had a small slender body and a short orange hair. She was wearing a tavern girl outfit that you see in RPGs.

I thoughtlessly began to pat her head. Oooh, this relax my heart.

"Ummm, what are you doing?"(Girl)

"Wha-... Oh I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking straight, hehe..."(Jeff)

I regained my composure and removed my hand from her head.

"You sure are strange. mister. But I'll forgive you."(Girl)

She forgave me... SHE FORGAVE ME.... she's nice.

"My name is Ruka, nice to meet you. So are you gonna stay here?"(Ruka)

"I'm Jeff, nice to meet you too. I'm gonna stay here for a while. So how much will it cost."(Jeff)

"Staying here will be 5 silver per night, meals for breakfast and dinner are included. Of you're gonna take another meal, you have to pay it for yourself."(Ruka)

I gave her 5 gold coins.

"All of this?"(Ruka)

"Yep, I did say that I'll stay here for a while."(Jeff)

"Then it'll be 100 nights, right. Here's your key, your room will be at Room 23. Will you take your meals now?"(Ruka)

"Sure."(Jeff)

I sat on a chair and waited for my meal to come. After a while, a woman gave me my meals. She had the same outfits as Ruka and had the same color.

"Here's your meal."

On my desk were chicken soup, a bread, and a roasted rabbit meat.

"Ummm... are you perhaps interested in my daughter?"

"Huh..."(Jeff)

"Well... you suddenly pat her head when you saw her and you seem like you enjoyed it."

Oh crap. Is she her mother, I might have looked like shady guy to her.

"Ahh no, I'm sorry if I did that! It's just that, ummm..."(Jeff)

"Just what?"

"I just like cute things!!!"(Jeff)

Oh I said it...

I saw Ruka at the back trying to not laugh.

"You like cute things!? Are you gay?"

"No! No, I'm not please don't misunderstand!"(Jeff)

"Then, you're not a pedophile?"

Pedo-... How did she know that word!!?

"No, I'm not. Please, I think my sanity is going away."(Jeff)

It's already gone though.

"Ah... I'm sorry. I'm just worried about my daughter."

"Well it's okay since it's my fault after all."(Jeff)

"Then please tell me, how do you see Ruka as?"

"Ummm... like a little sister?"(Jeff)

I don't know anymore. It should be strange to see her as a little sister even though I just met her. I once again saw Ruka, this time she's holding her mouth while silently laughing.

"A little sister... Oh, I'm sorry. Your food might have gotten cold. I'm no longer doubting you."

She just trusted me that easily? Do her and Ruka have something like a truth detector or something?

"Even though I may not look like it. I'm good at judging people. So I think you're innocent after I talked to you."

"Oh, that's amazing! That's quite a convinient intuition."(Jeff)

"Thanks. Oh, I haven't introduce myself yet. My name is Nika, thanks for staying at this inn."(Nika)

"I'm Jeff. And sorry for earlier."(Jeff)

Nika went away. I began to eat my food.

Mmmm... this is delicious! Good thing my food hasn't gotten cold yet.

While I was eating Ruka approached me and sat on chair across me.

"Pff-hahahaha. You sure are a funny guy, I haven't laughed so hard my entire life."(Ruka)

"Yeah, sure. Keep laughing all you want."(Jeff)

"What? Don't you see me as a little sister. Should I call you brother?"(Ruka)

While she teasing she was called by her mother Nika.

"Well, you're an interesting guy. Enjoy your stay here."(Ruka)

Ruka gave me a cheerful smile and went straight to her mother.

After finishing my meal, I went straight to my room and collapsed at the bed.

I'm so tired. Need to sleep.

"Ruka, you're finally here. Where were you?"(Nika)

"I'm just talking with Jeff."(Ruka)

"Fufufu... Do you accept him now as you're big brother?"(Nika)

"As if! Well he's a funny guy, so he can be my friend."(Ruka)

"You sure are more happy than usual. If remember, most of the guys here see with you indecent eyes. But Jeff, the way he looks at you, it's more innocent. Is he perhaps in love with you?"(Nika)

"....."(Ruka)

"Why are you silent?"(Nika)

"Nothing!"(Ruka)

Meanwhile, inside a room filled with darkness, a boy lying on a bed, is being attacked by nightmare.

"No... I'm not... a.....pedo..."(Jeff)

Oh yeah, by the way when I was reading the reviews on my story. I got worried when they said that it "didn't make sense, why the soldiers didn't attack him back in chapter 9." I got worried, so I've checked chapter 9 but it said that the binding item will be gone once Jeff got attacked. Yep that's the reason that they didn't attack. I mean they wouldn't risk on trying to attack him, just because he got temporarily bind, right? Well thanks for the support. You can give me advice if you want.
