It had been a ruff couples of weeks, first was the search for Steve which only the tessaract was found but no plane. Then the end of the war, with crowds going wild with joy but the howling commandos stricken with grief. Peggy didn't let Steve sacrifice go in vain, she decided to go on a crusade to wipe hydra off the face of the world. Sadly the department with the genaral was dismiss after Steve dive in the arctic.

The general was resigned and Peggy was given a choice of retirement or joining another agency, but she would have to start back from the bottom. The howling commandos decided to retired for now, they were overdue for a long vacation anyway.

Alex got called back to his agency, only to be told he would be immediately resign in records, were he would go over the war files to put them back in order. That lasted for about a month before Alex use the last letter to get out. The deal he made with his bosses was that by using it, he was getting a clean slated. His files where destroyed an he would leave them with no pay. So from the time he was a spy to now, their would be a hole in his record.

"Now that Im a free man, what hell am I going to do?." Alex said just outside from the agency. He was still a bit pist that he was force to use the last letter, if he didn't he was going to have to stay their for another 20 years. When he became a spy he had to sign a document that dictates a number of years of service, he had to provide if he broke that contract he would be mark as rogue.

He only manage 5 out of the original 25 years, cause of the people he'd pist off over the years he was going to spent the rest of his time lock in the basement as punishment. After Steve MIA, the agency decides to use him as a scapegoat. 

They won their case an he was shackled with the blame, so his only way out was the letter which he figured was their aim. But with that he didn't want to stay in it anymore, if he staid it would only be a major pain in the ass. 

"Il go visit my parents, haven't seen them for a while." Alex said as he called a taxi.

Going home was nice his mother was happy to se her little boy come home. His father was proud that his son had fought for his country, when they ask what he was going to do now after the army. Since they had no idea their son had been a spy. Alex had told them that he was a soldier instead, and that now that war was over he'd been discharge like many other had been.

Over dinner he admitted that he was a little lost on what to do now. He figured he would travel around visiting the members of his units that were around to see how it was now after everything. 

His father offered a place in his law firm if he wanted, but he would need to go back to school to get his diplomat in law. The rest of the evening went well, lots of laughts and stories around all night.

His mother keep on hugging him happy that he was back home safe and sound, she had heard stories from other wives or mothers. About their husband or son not coming back or returning only to be haunted by the war, as a shadow of their former self. Luckily her son seem to made of sterner stuff, he came back whole and happy, sure theirs was a darkness to him but it didn't consume him like so many others.

Alex did exactly what he told his father he would do, he travelled around he visited the general, Peggy, Morita, James and Howard. Falworth had return home, so had Dernier but Gabe had followed Dernier home to visit France.

His next stop was on a farm, he pull up in front of the house once he got out of his car. A young teen ran out and jump into his arms.

"Uncle Grey!" Mila said as she held him tight.

"It good to see you to little one." Alex said as he return the hugh.

"Happy to see you to, come on in." Jennie said from the porch, she was the women that Friedrich meet after coming to america.

They were now happily married, she had a husband who just died in the war went they meet, with a four year old little boy, alone she didn't know what to do. Friedrich had gotten a small farm at the time, but he needed help so he hired her cause everyone else would spite him just because he was Germain. But she didn't spite him or Mila she was in desperate need of a job, since she was a farm girl and didn't know anyone In the area, neither did she have enought to go to her relatives she took the first job opportunity she could get.

At first it was only until she had enought, but as time went by and she got to know the two, and they got to know her and her son the four form a close bond. And by the time she had enought for a trip their and back several times, she no longer had a reason to leave. Since Friedrich pop the question, Abraham had come to the wedding it was the last time Friedrich and Mila had seen him.

"It good to see you to Jennie, how Will?" Alex said as he approach an also gave her a hug. 

"Hes good, happier then ever, he keep following Friedy around like a lost puppy, drive Friedy nervouse its adorable." Jennie said with a smirk.

They keep making small talk, as they went in Alex volunteer to help but both girls just wave him off told him to sit an tell them about him while they finish making dinner. After a long talk Friedrich and Will came home, they both also got their own hugs. Then they sat down to eat, Alex censured many story so not to give nightmare to Will and Mila. Laughter could be hear around as he recounted the funnier moment of his time with the howling. 

As night fell the kids gave their good nights, Jennie went up to tuck them in an go to bed with a warning not to stay up to late. 

"You've got a loving familly Friedrich." Alex said as he watch them go up the staires.

"I know, and I have you to thank for this." Friedrich said as he move toward the liquor cabinet. 

"I only brought you over, the rest was all you." Alex said as he tried shifting the praise away.

They exchange pleasantries as they headed outside to sit on the porch. The talk about, Abraham death, the war and life on the farm for a time.

"So did you also get Abraham plea to destroy something back in Poland." Friedrich said in a slurred voice.

"Yeah, but he told me only on the last day we talked." Alex said his voice also slurred but with an edge of pain as the memory resurface.

"Looked I don't know what my brother needed me to do, but I've got the farm, my kids and Jennie here. To be honest I don't really want to go back their anytime soon. So could you take care of it." Friedrich said in a sheepish tone. He hunch over not really wanting to visit so many bad memory back their, his time back home had been hard. He'd lost his parents, his brother had shut himself off in his work, the army had ransack his farm on multiple occasion and his wife got sick and died because the natzis party had refuse to sell medicine to a half jew. 

"Not a problem, I was going over their anyways." Alex said as he patted Friedrich. 

"Thank you,....If he left something for me or Mila could you bring it back." Friedrich said as he look up into Alex eyes.

Staring right back. "I'll bring it back here if I can." Alex said. Both men staid at each other an nodded.

"I'm going to bed, good night Alex." Friedrich said as he got up to go back inside.

"Good night." Alex said, he staid outside going back at the moment that Abraham ask him to destroy something. "Guest I'll see what was fuss all about."
