《Worlds Defenders》Chapter 005 - Personal Space

Alex glances around as soon as he exits the portal. He is in a big, bright room with what seems to be high tech equipment all around him. In the center of the room there is a holographic projection of a fairy. Alex soon realizes that this must be his personal space mentioned in the basic information about the Realm of Defenders. That fairy must be his personal guide. He walks up to the holographic fairy. As soon as he walks up to around one meter from the projection, the fairy greeted him.
"Ah, a new Defender. Welcome to the Realm of Defenders. Before doing anything further please go in the capsule behind me to receive your [Magic Chip]"
Alex already knew the initial procedures. He nods and does as the fairy said. A circular blue light moves up and down around him for around 5 minutes.
"Please stand still," a prompt from the capsule sounds in his ears
"Ouch..!" Alex flinches and rubs the back of his neck as he feels a sudden prick there.
The capsule door soon opens up. Alex walks back up to the fairy who starts explaining things to him.
"Welcome again, Alex Volff. I'm sorry for the slight inconvenience. We had to implant the [Magic Chip] to every new Defender," explains the fairy
"It's okay," replies Alex who already knew what would happen, but he still feels weird how the fairy already knows his name without him introducing himself.
"You're probably wondering how I know your name. One of the [Magic Chip]'s functions is to scan your body and brain and read simple memories such as your name," continues the fairy.
"Ah, I knew this. Can we skip these introductory steps?" Alex tries to move things along quickly.
"I'm sorry, this is the procedure. I have to explain everything clearly to new Defenders," the fairy replies.

"The [Magic Chip] has several main functions for Defenders. The first main function is [Observe]. It can be used to gain information about yourself, items, or the creatures in the Realm of Defenders. [Observe] cannot be used on other Defenders to prevent malicious actions between Defenders," the fairy starts explaining things that Alex already knows.
The fairy continues, "the second main function is to [Communicate]. You can [Communicate] with me from anywhere in the Realm of Defenders. Oh, by the way, my name is Fay. You can also [Communicate] with other Defenders if your [Magic Chips] are already linked and the other person accepted your communication request."
"The third main function of the [Magic Chip] is a tracking device. It is used to record your activities and achievements as a base to give out your credit rewards. Credit is the currency of the Realm of Defenders. You get certain amount of credits for eliminating hostile creatures, getting achievements and setting new records. Credits can be used to buy items from the store," Fay keeps explaining things while Alex is looking bored.
Fay ignores Alex's bored expression and continues, "other important functions includes [Radar] and [Automatic Translation] which are self-explanatory. That's all the functions that I need to tell you. You have a beginner package to help you get started as a Defender. It's in the [Transporter Box] to my left. All items you buy from the store will be delivered there. You can access the store using the holographic computer that is right next to the box."
"All of the [Magic Chip] functions can be accessed by using your thought. Ah, one last thing. This room is your personal space. You can come and go to this space by communicating with me. I can transfer you to this space from any non-combat territories in the Realm of Defenders. Only you can access this space and nobody other than you is allowed in this space. To return to your dimension you need to buy the return stone from the store and use it on the teleportation machine to my right," Fay continues.

"I hope to be your guide for a long time, Alex Volff," Fay finishes the introduction.
Alex finally heaves a sigh of relief at the end of the long introduction. He smiles at Fay and immediately walks to the [Transporter Box] pointed out by Fay earlier. He opens it up and sees several items inside: a long-sleeved shirt, a pair of trousers, one wooden sword, one small box, and a small vial filled with blue glowing liquid. These items will be his initial capital to get started in the Realm of Defenders.

A girl’s luck changes when her world changes upon itself, sending her back and forth between a world she knows and another that shouldn’t even exist. Fortuna Verto continues the events of Essentia Animus to advance society into a sci-fi interpretation of Celese, bringing events to a distant world of another star. At the same time, events interpret a real-world advancement into a similar sci-fi age of another planet that shares Earth’s galaxy, a planet that has also been linked by the Celesi Veil. English remains predominant in both worlds of the story, but the presence of both sides makes certain Aethyx terms stand out, while Earth-styled scientific terms will also stand in a powerful contrast. Instrumentation remains an important aspect of the Elemental Era, but the influence of the gift has grown distant after discovering the superiority of the elements. Harnessing the elements had eliminated some of the original limitations of instrumentation, allowing for a self-sustaining focal source that provides solutions to problems such as automation. This turns the development available from the previous modern-day sense of a fantasy to one that is deep-future. Finally, opening access to the passage across the veil will open this progress in comparison to a very similar deep-future parallel world without such fantasy elements, contrasting the laws of physics with the laws of elements in a convergence of time and space.

But what does this have to do with the story well, our friend Alexander is reborn into a world of magic but of course that’s not enough to mention him, no the true reason we will follow his story is because much like there are those who claim to remember their past life, he truly does have a head start in his case.
