Alex walks into the UDA office and goes straight to the receptionist.

He gives her his Defender ID Card and says, "I have an appointment with the manager."

"Please wait a minute, sir. Let me check first," the female receptionist replies.

Alex nodded his head and wait in front of the receptionist desk.

"Oh, here it is. Please wait on the couch, sir. Someone will come to meet you shortly."

"Okay."

Alex then walks to the couch on the left of the receptionist desk and sits down. After waiting for around 5 minutes, a man walks up to him and greets him.

"Welcome Mr. Alex Volff. I'm Ichiro Tanaka, the assistant," the man introduces himself.

"Ah, yeah. I'm Alex Volff," Alex replies nervously.

"Please follow me to meet the manager," Ichiro Tanaka makes an inviting gesture with his right hand and starts walking.

They ride the elevator to the 45th floor. After exiting the elevator, Ichiro Tanaka brings Alex to the large corner office.

"Manager, I've brought Alex Volff here," Ichiro Tanaka says as he knocks the door.

"Yes, please come in," a woman's melodious voice sounds from behind the door.

As they walk into the office, Alex was stunned to see the manager. The manager is a beautiful woman, and she seems too young to be a manger of an important UDA branch office. She seems to be in her early thirties.

"Manager, this is Alex Volff," Ichiro Tanaka introduces Alex while making a slight bowing gesture.

Alex wakes up from his stunned state and introduces himself, "Ah.. I'm Alex. Nice to meet you."

"My name's Kyoko Akagi. You can call me Ms. Kyoko. Nice to meet you Alex. Please take a seat," Kyoko Akagi introduces herself while showing a beautiful smile.

After Alex and her are the only ones left in the office, Kyoko Akagi starts talking.

"You're probably wondering why I invited you here. I won't start talking around in circles. I want to recruit you to join the UDA," Kyoko Akagi goes straight to the point.

Alex is surprised at this sudden invitation. The UDA is the strongest force of this world. Everything regarding the Realm of Defenders goes through the UDA. There are other organizations formed by Defenders, but none of them can hold a candle to the UDA. To join the UDA is not an easy feat as only the elites of society can become an official member. Currently, around 15% of the world's population are Defenders which amounts to 1.5 billion Defenders. But, the UDA only has around 1 million official members.

"Umm.. Why me?" Alex asks confusedly.

"Well, I think you have great potential as a Defender. Your Defender registration test result puts you in the top 50 of all time," Kyoko answers Alex, concealing the fact that his result was in fact is in the top 20.

"Oh.. Haha.." Alex laughs awkwardly with a bit of a smug look on his young face.

"So, how is it? Do you agree to join the UDA?" Kyoko pushes for his answer while still smiling.

After calming himself down, Alex starts to consider this offer. This is an amazing offer, but he can't just decides blindly.

"May I know what do I have to do if I join the UDA? Also what are the benefits for me?" Alex asks what he wants to know.

"(This little rascal. He wants to know the benefits? When countless other Defenders would do anything to join us)" Kyoko thinks to herself, a little upset at his calm attitude.

Still wearing a smiling expression on the surface, she answers, "Well, for now you will only be a free member. As a free member, you only have to bring out a fixed amount {Energy Stones} every time you make a trip to the Realm of Defenders. The amount will be determined by your rank. For F-ranked Defenders they have to bring out 10 F-ranked {Energy Stones} for every trip. If you can rank up to the E-rank, we will give you the choice of joining as official member or keep your status as free member."

"As for benefits, first of all you can access all of UDA's information database pertaining to your rank and some important information about the next rank. A lot of these information are not available for public. Another benefit, if you can bring out the required amount of {Energy Stones} then we will compensate you 20% more than its market value. We will also reward you with points that can be used to exchange for items from the Realm of Defenders. Of course if you fail to bring out the required amount we will only buy the {Energy Stones} with 60% market price and deduct your points," Kyoko finishes her explanation.

"So, how are the points calculated?" Alex asks Kyoko.

"We give 5 points for each F-ranked {Energy Stone}. We will deduct 5 points for every lacking stones. You can use the points on the exclusive member-only UDA store. The value of points is the same as credits. An item that cost 50 credits will also cost 50 points in the UDA store," Kyoko answers his question.

Alex starts mulling his decision. This is an extremely beneficial condition for him. First of all, he needs the money from selling {Energy Stones}, so getting an extra 20% would be great. Plus, he can earn extra points, which is the same as earning extra credits.

"Then I will accept your offer, Ms. Kyoko," Alex makes his decision right away.

"Oh, wonderful. Then, welcome to the UDA, Alex," Kyoko replies with a smile and stretches her right hand.

Alex grabs her hand and says, "Please take care of me."
