《Fantasial Apocalypse》Chapter 64: [ Don’t be so stupid! ]

Allen was satisfied at Sun Yueli’s immediate response. It seemed like, this guy really has some potential, well, in any case, he was also chosen to return to this time. He should have something praise-worthy enough to take a God's attention.
Recruiting him doesn’t sound so bad.
Allen took a medallion and some things from inside his parka, “[ Vivite Liberi ] is an organization composed of nothing but powerful Superhumans.”
“… …”
“The organization doesn’t bound its members and only encourage them to do their own definition of justice. As long as they won’t do anything excessive and always prioritize humanity’s survival, the [ Vivite Liberi ] would certainly support its members.”
“Powerful Superhumans?” other than Allen, the people inside the room was shocked to hear his claims.
“Actually, not only Superhumans but also monsters.”
?!
“We don’t differentiate any race, species, culture, gender, country… as long as they are proved to be trustworthy; they are all welcome to the organization.”
“But, monsters as in those monsters?” Ye Shishi asked doubtfully. She found herself unable to believe.
“That’s right. The monsters similar to those you know and always fighting against, those monsters.”
“Beast king! Forgive me for my rudeness, but monsters? Aren’t they our enemies?”
“Brother’s right! How do you know if a monster is trustworthy or not? That’s stupidity!” Sun Yingyun exclaimed angrily. She didn’t like monsters since many of her friends and acquaintances died from monsters.
Her impression of this organization immediately plummeted to the very bottom.
“Little girl, your knowledge does not make up the entirety of this new world.”
“!?”
“Who says all monsters are evil? Who says monsters are all irredeemable?”
“… …”
“No one… at least a human cannot make that decision.” Allen’s voice turned sharp.
Lightning struggled from within Allen’s embrace and then crawled towards the long table. Looking at Sun Yingyun, Lightning bared its fangs at her.
It seems like it understands what Allen and the others were talking about.
Allen affectionately petted the little guys head, “Aren’t there a saying, ‘Humans are far scarier than monsters and demons.’ If humans can be redeemed, why can’t monsters be the same?”
“Monsters are evil!” Sun Yingyun scowled.
“…Monsters killed many people, my family, and my friends! There are meant to be killed! There are no good monsters like you thought to be. That’s all just a delusion, a stupidity!”
“Do you really think so?”
“?”
“…But aren’t you the one who is foolish?”
“What?!”
“All monsters are not evil just like all humans are not good. You should not give a good card only to humans because they are not saints! They can betray you easily, even your closest family and friends!
Killing and discriminating all monsters? That’s just naivety! That would only bring humanity’s extinction!”
“Don’t be so stupid, little girl!”
“… …”
Allen narrowed his eyes and stared at Sun Yingyun; “You might as well trust a monster’s promise than trusting a human’s words. Trust me, it has more weight compared to the latter."
"Don’t just selfishly give humans a ‘Saint’ card, or else you would certainly regret it!”
“But monsters invade our world and killed everyone! They are all unforgivable!” Sun Yingyun roared in anguish.
Allen was tickled by her logic, so he said, “Unfortunately, this world isn’t the same world you remember anymore."

"You need to erase the belief in that head of yours that all humans are the only ones who are allowed to rule this world. No matter what we do, we can’t drive them away any longer.
This world isn’t only ours anymore!”
“!!!”
“What we need is an ally and not more enemies!”
“It should be the time we should realize who our real enemies were! If not, everything will be too late and we will once again lose everything!”
“… …”
“…Just because they are monsters doesn’t mean they are the enemy.” Allen concluded.
“You’re saying nonsense!” But Sun Yingyun couldn't believe what Allen was saying. For her, monsters are enemies. They are the ones who should be chased away from this world!
But Allen was perturbed.
“Maybe, but in the first place, who dictated that just because we are humans, we own the world?”
This is a new world. A world of the strong…
And in this world where power reigns supreme, whether it was humans or monsters, they held the possibility to rule the world.
Only strength is respected.
Only the Victor is a king.
Human or monsters, race isn’t necessary.
“… …”
Allen indifferently shrugged his shoulders as he continued. “Humans are the only race who has the right to rule this world? Perhaps you are right since this is our world in the first place. We certainly had that right, however, unfortunately, this world is now biased to the victor. Who has the power, holds that right.”
“Just what do you really want to say?!” Sun Yingyun’s beautiful face distorted in anger.
She really couldn’t understand what Allen was saying even though he was speaking in perfect and fluent Mandarin!
Allen ignored her and continued speaking. His voice indifference yet exudes a hint of bitterness.
“… Even though humans are weak in nature compared to other races, from your words why does it feel like humans are right no matter what?"
"In fact, we never own this world... even before 'they' came. However, since there's no one who could stop us, we ended up reigning supreme- though, just what we did to our world after crowning ourselves as kings in this world is another matter.”
“What!?” Not only Su Yingyun, the others inside the room felt their breath stopped.
“How can you say that!? You’re also a human!!”
“That’s right, but as if we deserve to win just because of race… and that’s logical?!”
“… …”
“… And what’s worse, whatever we do is acceptable?”
“… …”
“You are really amusing,” Allen said in an obviously mocking tone.
“What!?”
“You can only say that because you haven’t seen humanity’s end.”
Sun Yingyun glared with her eyes cold. “You are distorting my words!”
“But that’s what you were driving at!” Allen said, casting a sorrowful smile, he continued, “Let me tell you this right here and now…
What do you think happened in a world with people who thought like you…?”
“?”
“… Humans tried killing and exterminating all monsters species, always thinking that humans are the only one who has the right to rule! Enslaving every monster… as if they are superior creatures…
Slaves, Sex slaves, abuse, massacre, even children of the demi-humans wasn’t spared. So, you think just because they are monsters, they aren’t living beings?”

“That’s not what I---”
“---said, am I right? However, those things born from those same thoughts of yours.” Allen said coldly.
!!!?
“What do you think happened afterward? Demon Army appeared… unintentionally saved those people and incited them. In the end, no one helped us in the war and instead, those monsters that were enslaved revolted and started a killing spree.”
“… …”
“What’s worse, because of losing hope, one by one…those who you trusted the most, ended up stabbing your back just to survive!”
“… …”
“And you said monsters are all evil? Doesn’t that roundabout way to say, humans, are good? If we have treated monsters equally?
What would have happened…?”
Sun Yingyun showed a strange expression. Just what is this man saying?
She couldn’t understand what he was talking about nor could believe it.
Did this guy forget his medication?
But Allen ignored it. He didn’t tell Sun Yueli about Daniel and the other’s betrayal as it was something he doesn’t want to recall nor tell it to anyone.
Up until now, he still feels pain from what they did.
When he sleeps, he could recall those buried memories and the pain of betrayal ache deeper the moment he does so.
Although he wasn’t broken by it because of his strengthened mental fortitude, however, he still felt something inside of him, bubbling and screaming.
If humans are like this, that could betray you even though you shared a long time close relationship with them, then isn't it better to might as well changed colors and be with the monsters. Because at least monsters know what’s loyalty is and would even die without hesitation for their beliefs and masters.
Monsters remember any kindness shown to them, and they will remember it for a lifetime. And they will certainly report this favor absolutely, no matter how much time passed by.
Just like what happened to Allen before.
All of his tamed monsters all died for him. Although some were forcefully tamed, most of them were friends he met on his long time of wandering.
… A minority of Snow wolves rebelled their current king and defended him and a tribe of [ Wyvernian Harpies ] sacrificed their peace and lives just to let him escape. There are also many monsters and demi-human tribes who went all out to help him, laying their lives on the line!
But all of them died in order to protect him and that always caused him guilt and pain.
Because of these, you can say that Allen was more bias to monsters compared to the humans… because he owes them too much!
That’s why he couldn’t help but get annoyed if anyone mocks all them in front of him!
Sun Yueli’s expression slightly changed when he looked at Allen.
He wasn’t a green person but a seasoned veteran.
He was already molded by countless battles and had met various people in his ‘Past’ life. That is why he could feel something from Allen’s words and expression.
Just what happened after I died?
If the Beast King is here, then it means that he had died and they had lost the war...?
Was it the reason why he had been reincarnated by God… to avoid such tragedy?
Sun Yingyun, Ye Shishi, and Tong Fu, upon hearing his words were momentarily at a loss for words.
Are there really good monsters…? Such thought flashed inside their minds.
--- ---
“Beast King, would you tell me how many members are already in the organization?” Seeing that the atmosphere had turned strange, Sun Yueli tried changing the topic to elevate the mood.
“I’m sorry but I can’t tell you that,” Allen said without a care.
“…but there’s already a monster, isn’t it?” Ye Shishi asked doubtfully. She really couldn’t get herself to trust a monster.
“Of course, and Sun Yueli knows her very much…”
“Eh?”
Allen gave Sun Yueli a knowing smile and didn’t continue any longer. Sun Yueli was a member of the [ Dawn Alliance ] so he should know one of the strongest Demon Generals… isn’t it?
Allen passed Sun Yueli the medallion. It was different from his (Wolf) and Alkrasha (Rose).
Sun Yueli’s medallion was an eagle with the numeral ‘VI’ on its back. Allen chooses this because of Sun Yueli’s transformation of an eagle that he did a while ago.
“Do you want it?” he asked.
“Of course!” Sun Yueli immediately received the medallion without hesitation. “It’s my honor to be of use for the Beast King!”
Sun Yueli immediately felt excited.
He got on his knees, and said as if he was in a theatrical play, “I shall once again fulfill my duty under the sovereign of all beast; the Immortal, Beast King!”
“… …”
“Glory to the Beast King!”
Allen shook his head and gave a bitter smile, then said: “You do know that I don’t like being called, the immortal…right?”
Sun Yueli’s face deepened, “Forgive me, I…”
“Nevermind~”
Sun Yueli didn’t know whether he should laugh or cry. He actually forgot this!
The infamous Beast King never liked the title [ The Immortal ]. Of course, he knew how Allen got this kind of title.
[ The Immortal ], was, of course, a derogatory title.
The King who seemed to be avoided by death itself.
This was also the reason why, from all the ten kings, Allen’s name was the most well-known. He always succeeded in doing almost impossible missions and survives, however, it was not without problem.
The casualties he had will always exceed that of other kings and yet he was always the one who will survive in the end.
Even if he contracted deadly diseases or suffer a fatal wound that could kill a Lv5 and below Superhumans instantly, in the end, for some unknown reason he will survive. As if he was kicked by death because they didn’t want him.
Was it because he possesses a good self-regeneration skill…?
Probably…but it was always questionable as for how he always survives in the end!
There’s a rumor that he might be a traitor for the monsters and was only able to survive because they didn’t kill him. However, this rumor was immediately taken back because, from the people who he saved and the comrades he was with, all said the same thing…
He works more than the others.
He wasn’t avoided by monsters; instead, he was always the one being chased at! Every demon, whenever they saw him, they would immediately attack to kill him as if he was their hated enemy!
… so the conclusion is, he was just too fortunate or maybe misfortunate for being unable to die, even if he wanted to.

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.
